I will say the wait is long upon occasion, but that makes sense given the fact it's urgent care - that's fairly typical everywhere. The staff is consistently friendly; I know they're always doing their best to help patients in an efficient & thorough way. Having kindness & patience towards them goes a long way, & goodness knows they deserve it. They are very thorough with any testing, x-rays & the like. I always find they take time to answer any questions, & I appreciate they make sure not only to address my concerns but also make sure I understand how to go forward & what is going on. I truly appreciate all the medical staff here, they have really had my back time and time again.

I am a self pay patient and wanted to wait until Monday and go to Northwest Orthopedics because they only charge $275 for the visit and X-rays. Providence said it would cost around $400. I was in a lot of pain so I decided to go. They X-rayed my wrists and told me I broke both so they used a small strip of cast material to splint my wrists and sent me home. This was the bill that I actually got and that didn't include the X-rays, which cost me $252 from inland imaging and $82 for the shoulder sling they gave Office/Outpatient Visit Est $437.00 CPT/HCPCS code: 99214 Quantity: 1 Apply Forearm Splint $352.50 CPT/HCPCS code: 29125 Quantity: 1 Hc Pr Q4022 Cast Sup Sht Arm Splint Fbrg $122.00 CPT/HCPCS code: Q4022 Quantity: 2 No Charge Drug $0.00 CPT/HCPCS code: J3490OTC Quantity: 1 Hh Phs Bndg Conform Stretch 2In X 75In Strl Cdm $12.00 CPT/HCPCS code: A6449 Quantity: 2 Hh Phs Bndg Elastic Matrix 2Inx5Yd Cdm $10.00 CPT/HCPCS code: A6448 Quantity: 2 Ondansetron 1 Mg, Oral [Nausea/Vomiting] $2.00 CPT/HCPCS code: Q0162 Quantity: 1 Subtotal billed $935.50 Provider adjusted -$237.10 Total amount due $698.40 They charged me $352.50 to put on the splint, which took about 10 minutes, and $122 for the two thin strips of cast. I called several times to try to negotiate a reasonable payoff but after many calls and no help, they offered to take $50 off. This is robbery! Almost $1100 for the entire visit when I was quoted $400. If you are self pay, do not go here. Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls charged me $150 for an urgent care visit. I learned the hard way.

Checked my sugar and it was high I let her know just came from Wendy's and had frosty. She said sugar was causing vertigo. I told her it was happening most in morning. Still no antibiotics told to go see my regular doctor. Left got text next day asking for another 100+. Went to look at Bill and you have to agree to all these terms to look at it. This urgent care had the best ratings (all the rest were poor in the area) & I go to Chas Clinic…read morefor provider svcs which is pretty good so I expected different from what happened. This was last Wed Dec 6th. Not a good experience overall unfortunately. I went in before 9am w/ only 2 people in front of me. One had a slight cough. I checked in w/SOB, chest pain, temp of 102+, massive shivering/chills, body pain so bad I couldn't sit still. "Oh...I'm sorry." front desk says. This place does not triage at all. Obviously if I needed emergent care I would've gone to one of the "quality" ERs (lol) in the area..I get it ok. Waited over an hr to get called back, waiting room was really filling up by then. Get checked in w/vitals, etc. "ooh you've got quite a fever going!" The MA says. NP comes in gives me a 5 min look over I say I just need some antibiotics please I'm coughing up green/have temp, etc and I just want to go back home. I have everything else to treat this. I have hx of sinusitis & bronchitis & I didn't say but I'm a nurse. He says sure yes that sounds appropriate "I'll be back in a few minutes" after 2 COVID tests & a flu test. I'm laying on the exam table curled up in a ball shivering & in pain thinking he's (or anyone) will be back...those MF's left me in there for an hour!!!!! When I got home I looked at my missed calls log & could tell. I couldn't get off the exam table to get my phone. I started feeling really nauseous and REALLY HOT so had been calling out for a barf bag & some help NO ONE CAME IN. NO ONE. Couldn't even pop their head in to check in, you know like even doctors offices do when you've been waiting a while? Understand, I was in a pretty bad state as the last time I was this sick I had leukemia w/neutropenic fevers. That's what it felt like, it was horrific so prob had a tinge of PTSD anxiety mixed in too. Which may make my case a little more dramatic but that's healthcare- you never know peoples backstories or what they're going through. Or what they've been through. Anyway I could literally hear them cackling & chatting *right outside my door* completely ignoring me. I flopped off the table almost falling down I'm so lightheaded, open the door & say "how long are you guys going to pretend like you don't hear me?" "I can literally hear you verbatim out here & I've been calling for help waiting patiently for someone to come back in" I said "YOU LEFT ME in there with a triple digit temp, wracked with body pain, didn't offer me Tylenol, water, a blanket, nothing. What's up w/that?" They're all bug eyed lmao. Like they'd been caught/called out. Huh. One woman had the audacity to look me in the eye & say "I didn't hear you". Grrrrrrr.. My NP was SITTING THERE (right, I mean right outside my door) ON HIS COMPUTER (what, catching up on charting? Facebook?) he says "I'll check with your provider on the Tylenol. Huh?? Comes in 10min later w/Tylenol & water & apologizes for them not having a call light system? Uh, okay? Brings my paperwork I'm thinking finally! Nope, meds aren't even ready!!! Hahahhaaaa. Says I can cont to wait there, in the (now crowded) waiting room, or in my car. Gee let me think. I go check in w/the pharmacy to tell them I'm waiting outside they say they will call when my meds are ready. NP was trying to prescribe all this OTC stuff I knew my insurance wouldn't cover so I said no to allll that please, just the antibiotics. "Sure, it will be fast, just a few minutes" he says. Almost 45 min later I get a text (not a call so I didn't hear it right away, thanks guys!) I go in there and they had pulled EVERYTHING. Say my insurance didn't cover anything but antibiotics. Hahahhaaaaa OH.MY.GOD. I'm delirious at this point. Grabbed the pills and drove home that whole ordeal took THREE HOURS!!!That's my rant. I'm sorry but what the hell. I get you guys are "publicly funded" but that is no excuse for the way I was treated. Where was the empathy? I work in healthcare...you always want to try to manage pain & anything else in your immediate control (if u have any kind of empathy) to comfort someone like water, a blanket, checking in, FOLLOWING THROUGH ON WHAT YOU SAY. Anything! Don't tell someone you'll be right back & leave them in that state for that long. It's neglectful and just unkind. **They had MULTIPLE staff members lounging at the nurses station right outside my door.** SMH. I'm grossly disappointed and hope maybe NP Gregory & co were just having a bad day or this was a one off thing. I was totally respectful to them from the start and more than patient. Dammit. I feel like I was totally at their whim and I'm thinking gosh, what would've happened if I hadn't come out of the room...?????

First, I scheduled an appointment for my daughter (6) who has had a chronic cough to insure she is seen first and we received a text message reminder of the appointment. Next, after receiving the appointment reminder above and still needing appointments for the rest of our family I called the office to schedule a second intake appointment for me and my other daughter (they will only do two intake appointment per family at a time)...during this phone conversation I was not only told that they were maxed out for patients with our insurance and refused us service... they also proceeded to cancel the appointment for my 6 year old... Being confused by this I asked what would had happened if I showed up for the appointment that had previously been scheduled and confirmed and I was told they would have just turned us away the day of the appointment. I found the staff to be very dry, rude, and uncaring about a situation they had caused...their advice was to call my insurance company...they gave no recommendations for other practices or ways to get help for my daughter who needs to see a dr sooner vs later...and now we have to start the process over...which can take up to a month The next day my husband went back to the office to speak to someone and clarify what happened...they had closed early based on hours posted on the internet...Their website says 5:00, their Google info also says 5:00, (it was 4:45)...my husband also noted the hours were not posted on the door. Furthermore, I called the office twice before this happened, and they never returned either call and she is still currently listed on our insurance website as accepting new patients.
