When it comes to pho, there are a few things to note. Before even tasting the broth, I like to visually see how it looks like. Is it nice and clear or is it murky and suspect. Mum Mum's broth was clear and definitely not murky/milky looking. There are other places in the Corvallis/Albany area that I cannot say the same. The taste of the broth itself was good, maybe a bit heavy handed on the star anise? Everyone's spice ratio is different, but it tasted like pho. No complaints. Overall, the broth had good flavor. As a general rant, not Mum Mum directed, pho prices are ridiculous. Growing up eating at pho restaurants, I never imagined a bowl of pho ever costing close to $20! Crazy. Anyway, my friend got the everything pho ($17) and it had rare steak, brisket, meatballs, and tendon. For that price, I expected the meat proportion being more. I ordered grilled pork w/ vermicelli noodles. There was no eggroll in my order and I really wanted to try the eggroll. Sad face. The grilled pork itself was really good though. So much flavor and it wasn't dried out. I usually love vermicelli bowls because it's like a salad with noodles and it wasn't the case here. I wish there was more veggies in my bowl. There wasn't even lettuce. Their fish sauce was good, too. The dish was good, there are just things I would have loved to see in addition (ex. the veggies involved). I didn't try the banh mi, but from the photos posted, I don' t know if I ever will. It looks tiiiiiny and not the kind of bread I'm used to getting from other places. For $6.50, it should be done right. If I'm in Corvallis and I'm looking for something comforting, I'd definitely come back for the pho or vermicelli bowl. Looking forward to trying their eggroll!

Great service! The food even better. Chicken wings had a good sweet, tangy, little spicy, umami flavor all carried by the fish sauce. They came out hot and crispy, still good even after I drove home. Banh mi was good too, but their wings are the real gem!

Chicken and rice: best dish I tried, fatty piece of skin-on chicken thigh, well seasoned, well cooked rice, fish sauce was salty, sweet, and garlicky. Only way I see it being improved is more crispy chicken skin, but that could have softened in warm take out container. Vietnamese iced coffee: excellent, sweet and strong. Pho with everything (no picture): I would want Thai basil and way more beef at this price. Least amount of meat compared to other Corvallis and Albany pho offerings. Broth was light, passable, I suspect could benefit from cooking with more bones and aromatics. Chicken wings: lightly seasoned with fish sauce I believe. They were okay. Banh mi: this is the smallest banh mi I've ever seen. It's basically a tiny bit larger than a slider. Disappointing for $6.50. I did not try because there wasn't enough to share. I'll be back to support a new local restaurant, try their other items, hoping they step up their game, and I can bump up this review in the future.

I have tried a few items so far at Mum Mum. The banh mi was small and forgettable. For 6.50 it was not overly expensive, but it was meager and underwhelming. The brisket pho was 7/10. The amount of meat was low for the price of $15. The to go broth was in an eco container that was deteriorating and soggy by the time I got it home. I tried the broth on its own before pouring it into the eco bowl and noticed it was oily and waxy. I believe this is due to the wax coating on the eco container breaking down and mixing with the broth. I appreciate the attempt to use materials that can be recycled, but I don't think it works well with liquids that are close to boiling in temperature. The overall flavor of the broth was fine but somewhat lacking in flavor. Garnishes provided were sufficient.

Just excellent food at very good prices. Very authentic, fresh and delicious. They need our local support!

It's hard to find real Chinese food in this neighborhood and I'm glad I found it here…read more They also have an Asian grocery store right next to it that can meet most of your needs The food is actually 4 stars in other big cities but it worth 5 stars here! The beef flank stew is nothing like what their photo shows but it's still good. Not really a dry saucy beef, more of a soupy beef stew. Lots of beef (in this economy!) and the right amount of texture. Not too chewy or dry House special fried rice. flavor is ok, kinda bland, but has lots of various meat. Will try the curry one next time Stir-Fried Lamb with Cumin, generous amount of lamb as well. Rich, musky cumin flavor with a great texture. Probably will be crispy if dine in in person Forgot to take pictures for the Braised pork with preserved mustard leaves (梅菜扣肉). Hard to go wrong with this. Pork is stew long enough that it breaks easily. Just wish it's thicker and with more marinated mustard leaves Twice cooked pork. Another stable you have to try for any real Chinese restaurant. Pork was cut real thin and not too spicy. Just wish the cabbage is more crunchy

We had the grilled whole fish and mapo tofu, both were great, especially the grilled fish, it's huge portion with lot of ingredients for $28. Mapo tofu was okay but it was room temperature when it's served. The wait time was long (30 minute) even the restaurant was quiet when we visited at 2pm. We almost missed our flight due to the long wait.
