I've been here a few times and EVERY TIME I'm going to pay the woman at the desk twists her mouth and wrinkles her face when she sees people are paying with a card. First off, It's rude and arrogant to ask and almost command your customers to pay cash, we pay however we can and want. I know there is a sign asking people to pay cash, BUT still the customers are paying your rent, you should change your attitude. Service was awesome. Walked in desperate, super calm cool vibe from the outside. They took me right away, Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Nail tech really took her time and was so nice -- full trim of cuticles, cleaning of the underneath, shaping, base coat, two coats of color, one coat for the tip in the other color, curing, hand massage, cuticle gel, and BACK MASSAGE!!! They had me waiting for 15 minutes to sit down after telling me a 5 minute wait. Then when i get seated i waited another 15 minutes to get seen by someone. Finally when they're doing my toes, i asked for square and French tip, she doesn't file straight, all my toes are curved and slanted, the French tip Line smudged all over and it all looks like a big hot mess was made. My 3 yr old niece could've did a better fucking job! I spent an hour and 40 minutes in there in total paid 57$ for a REGULAR PEDICURE!!!! The initial experience and customer service were nice. Unfortunately I paid $84 for Gel-X nails that didn't even last 24 hours. Within a day of me staying home and doing pretty much nothing with my nails, my first nail came off in the shower. I came back to the salon where they re stuck the fallen extension to my nail. Within 3 hours of fixing that nail, another one fell off while eating dinner. Luckily I was able to go back to the salon where they re stuck the other extension to my nail (This was yesterday). Now today I've lost 2 more nails, 1 while fixing my pants and the other when washing my hand. I've had gel-x extensions from other salons and they last me around 3-4 weeks, so this is extremely unusual for me. I've never lost a nail in a matter of 1-3 days before and I've had acrylic, nex gen, and gel-x all done. The staff themselves are nice and attentive but unfortunately the product is sub-par. read more

They also have begun to get annoyed at me when I ask them to fix little things, like a crack in my nail that they were just going to paint over. When I told my manicurist for a certain shape, she did the wrong one and then got mad at me when I corrected her. They also butcher taking off dip and gel, making your nails super thin. Ran into this salon super last minute just to get my nails done on a time crunch and would definitely not recommend. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating but it is extremely overpriced for less than quality work. I got gel French tips with extensions and could not even choose the shape or length. The timing was pretty quick but I also got so many cuts along my cuticles on multiple fingers, you can see the nail adhesive on most of the nails in a really cheap and unappealing way and the actual nail itself I saw wore away with weird indents within a day of wear. Definitely not worth 100$ would never go back lol. Posting this on a Monday morning after getting them done the Saturday before. read more

Do not come to the salon. Came in for a gel manicure on a Monday: I told the technician that I had powder gel on some nails (because some of the nails were broke and the powder gel was keeping the nail intact) and I wanted to keep it on. She did not listen and kept trying to file it off. When I finally told her she had to leave it on or my nail would be too short, it was too late and there was hardly any powder gel left. It took 45 mins for her to just take off my old gel!!! Then she messes up the filing. I have no idea how would you describe the shape, BUT NOT ROUND. The next day I already had one nail chipped and one nail broke because they had removed the powder gel!! I returned to the salon and had it fixed for free. However now five days later, I have two nails where my the gel came off and one chipped! Unbelievable. Do not spend your money here. read more

Boy, was I shocked when she said a polish change was $10! Yes, please. Loved this shop, the nail techs seemed mostly Japanese, my absolute favorite thing about Japanese people is their politeness. Everyone was super nice, no one had the I don't want to be here attitude. Clean environment with a modern look. I will start with the fact that this place is VERY clean and you get a good manicure for a very good price in nyc. I came in at 12 pm on a sat and they sat me down right away. I got a regular French manicure for $19, pretty good price in new york! I saw that all the tools came from a sanitized pouch which i was really happy about because i'm a clean freak when it comes to my nails and nail salons. The girl cleaned up and shaped my nails really well considering what a bad state they were in. The french manicure was very neat and looks very pretty in my opinion. What was interesting was before she started painting, she pulled out these one time use gloves with lotion, they also came in a sealed pouch which she kept in the like towel heater thing. There is no friendly greeting and the manager acts as if she is doing you a huge favor when you are paying them a for a service. The most horrible energy, they rush you out and the results are awful - crooked nails, cuts while cutting cuticles, aggressively handling hands. DOESNT DESERVE ONE STAR. The staff is trash. I had to file my own nails the way I wanted them because the nail tech refused to do it how I asked her to. Not only did she refuse to do it, when one of her colleagues showed her what I wanted, she got loud with her and myself and snatched the file out of my hand. Also, they are NOT using the correct powdered gel (SNS). They use a cheaper material known as dental acrylic. It took another salon TWO HOURS to remove the "SNS" they put on my nails. Best nail salon I've tried in New York so far. The space is CLEAN, the room is relaxing and the service is good. First time I went, I got the spa pedicure (that's like the premium one with an extended massage and some other extras.) I've also gotten gel mani and chair massage there on other occasions. The only negative I noticed was, the massage that comes automatically with the manicure is extremely short (I overheard another customer comment on this while I was there; it's not just me!) But, overall every other service I've tried has been excellent. Another thing that really impressed me was, I accidentally gave the cashier an extra $20 without noticing and she told me instead of just pocketing it which she easily could have done. I came in for a gel mani and regular pedi. My manicurist was Jenny and I didn't have an appt which was no problem on a weeknight after work. My pedicure was really efficient and felt great and my mani was really thorough and nicely done. It wasn't cheap but there's lower options in the area as well as higher so I'm happy paying for quality. What's most important is how incredibly clean and sanitary it is. You have absolutely nothing to worry about and the salon is beautiful. Additionally, there's a HUGE selection of gel colors and regular. I doubt you'll have to ever bring your own color - they truly have everything. The only reason I didn't give it 5 star is because the pedi and mani massages left something to be desired. But I'm OK with that, I had an anti-aging hand mask (included) and that was quite nice. I was looking to ditch my local salon and now I know where I'll be going more regularly. read more

They are super nice but warning they don't really know how to remove acrylics as well as some other salons, especially for the price ($15 charge) and they kind of rush through the manicure so you end up with air bubbles. They do however use keratin gloves so your hands are super soft afterwords and they have you pay beforehand so there's no smudging :) Not the best manicure but would return just for the ambiance and good deals! read more
