i love bru tea! i'm a repeat customer simply because they're one of the few spots in sac that offer…read morebingsu. their strawberry cheesecake bingsu is one of my favorites, light, fluffy, and honestly pretty sweet, but i have a huge sweet tooth so that's not a problem for me. the strawberries are fresh, the whipped cream light in texture and flavor, and the cheesecake is okay at best for me, i usually skip over it and give it to whomever i'm sharing the bingsu with. the bingsu has a huge mound of shaved ice on top but once you start getting to the base of the bowl there's strawberry syrup and condensed milk spread throughout, offering sweeter bites compared to the initial mound of bingsu you have to get through. if the bingsu isn't sweet enough for you, they give you a container of condensed milk on the side for you to pour and adjust the sweetness to your liking. the strawberry bingsu also comes with frosted flakes for extra sugar and crunch. the workers here seem to get along fairly well and are helpful if you ever have any questions, but it seems the default ordering process is through the kiosk. there is a bell for you to ring if you ever need to ask a worker a question.

She met with us a couple times to discuss designs and our vision. She was extremely gracious despite the many changes- I was extremely indecisive. I couldn't decide on our cake size or how many desserts to have at our dessert table (my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I wanted way too much). Amanda helped me select the type of dessert she felt would make sense and also be visually pleasing. A month before the wedding, I finally settled on wedding cake design...or designs. Amanda provided her input, incorporated the different designs I wanted and even tweaked the design and it turned out better than what I (and my husband) wanted. She was a sweetheart from start to finish. Aside from her amazing personality her cakes and desserts are amazing! All of our guests were raving about the desserts and especially the cake. We ended up getting a 4 tier cake with each layer being a different flavor (salted caramel, birthday cake, chocolate, and vanilla with blackberry). I'm sad I did not get to try every layer, but for the two I did. I loved! We even had guests at the wedding that do not like cake enjoy a piece and wanted more! Their specialty is Brown sugar boba drinks and their boba balls are called deerioca, which are brown sugar tapioca that's bouncy, chewy and flavorful. I've tried their creme brulee brown sugar drink, snow grapefruit with tea and their peach oolong tea and I love how you can really taste the tea. I usually adjust the sugar level for the fruit tea drinks at 50%. For the brown sugar drinks, the sweetness can't be adjusted. I've tried their matcha brown sugar with boba in Hawai'i and loved it! So I will definitely get that the next time I'm in the area. You can order at the kiosk, or a human can take your order. They have seasonal items, and you can buy merch such as pins, bags, deer plush keychains and lanyards. The price is decent for the area, but the quality is worth the price. There's plenty of indoor seating and the place is spacious and modern. They even have a restroom if you've consumed too much dairy! Unfortunately, we realized on the day of our wedding that they do not do gallon orders for the fruit teas. They only do gallon orders for their milk teas. This was disappointing, because we had purchased fruit teas from them at least two other times in the past year without any issue. I can only imagine why they discontinued catering for their fruit teas. We ended up having to go to a competitor. If you want to order their gallons, you would need to call them at least a half hour in advance to make your order. There was no way of filling out a form or notifying them days/weeks in advance for the gallons. The gallons are boxed up in a bag, inside of a cardboard box. There is a sturdy handle and a spout you just have to break the seal to use. They also offer their large cups and straws for catering, if desired. We ended up ordering their jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet for gallon catering, which is the perfect amount of sweetness for catering, and this is also our go-to milk tea order. They make their fruit teas pretty well here. We love ordering their lemon grapefruit tea. It's so refreshing and full of fresh citrus flavor. They used to do a salted grapefruit tea and we wish they would bring it back. The first time I ever came here, I got a peach oolong tea...I had started writing a draft for this, and I wrote to avoid it because it had a very light peach flavor...for what it's worth. Their service has been consistently friendly. At the times I came to pick up the gallons, they had staff members offer to help me bring them to my car. You can order at their kiosk or in-person. Their shop is always very clean and there is plenty of seating and outlets. Parking is small here and often crowded, but you will be able to find a spot in the middle of the parking lot. I would recommend The Alley!
