Mango Sticky Rice donut and Cookie Butter Matcha
    Sabrina C.

Bit into the Mango Sticky Rice donut and immediately let out a "whoa!" My favorite donut from here so far! I liked the Cookie Butter Matcha because the matcha flavor isn't too strong, and she made it so fast!

The doughnuts here are amazing . I don't consume them all the time nor do I eat lots of doughnuts, the when I do I believe Elk Grove donuts is the local gold standard. A lot of specialty doughnuts that they create as trends develop. I know my first experience with Dubai chocolate was with their Dubai doughnut and it was delicious. Local family owned, I would definitely check this spot out if you're looking for uniquely diffrent flavors compared to traditional doughnut offerings. They offer diffrent coffee and drink. Typically paired or similar flavor to their unique doughnuts. Imagine a Dubai coffee or mango stick rice drink.

Finally made it in to try this donut shop after seeing it all over social media, and it definitely lived up to the hype in some ways. We picked up two Dubai Chew Cookies, which I really enjoyed. The mochi exterior gave them a fun texture and they were surprisingly good. We also tried their Mango Sago donuts, and while they were definitely different from your typical donut, they were unique and delicious. To round things out, we got a classic sprinkle donut, a chocolate glazed donut, and they even threw in three donut holes, which was a nice surprise. For drinks, we ordered the Dot Cake Coffee Latte ($9) and the Dot Cake Matcha Latte ($8). The drinks were decent, but both had way too much ice. The matcha latte tasted more like milk than matcha, which was a little disappointing. Altogether, our order came out to around $54, which feels pretty pricey for donuts and drinks. Overall, I'm glad we finally gave this place a try. The specialty donuts were creative and tasty, and you can tell they put effort into making something different. That said, because of the price point, it's probably more of an occasional treat for me rather than a spot I'd visit regularly. Definitely worth checking out at least once if you're curious

The mango series donuts showed up on my IG feed, so knew we had to give them a try. We went to the shop at around 10am on a Sunday - no line and we were served quickly. All the donuts looked very appealing, so decisions were hard. We ended up ordering the Mango Sticky Rice, Mango Sago, Ube Coconut, and Dubai Chocolate donuts. Also ordered a couple of the chewy Dubai cookies. The donuts were about $6 each. Hubs noted the way the donuts were decorated were like pieces of art. As for the taste, they were good! My fave was the Ube Coconut. The mango ones were good too; the mango flavor really came through. They both tasted pretty much the same - just that one had sticky rice and the other had sago. The donuts were soft and not too sweet. If you like chocolate, you'll love the Dubai Chocolate donut. The chewy Dubai cookie is like a stuffed mochi - quite sweet. If craving sweets, I'd return again, especially for the ube donut. They also have a drink menu that looked interested that I'd like to return to and try.

Elk Grove Donuts is my go-to! They were promoting their matcha donuts for a limited time so I had to get them. I got the matcha tiramisu donut and strawberry matcha donut. Matcha tiramisu: Less sweet in comparison to strawberry matcha. There was a lot of cream on top and a custard type of cream on the inside. If you're a hardcore matcha fan, this donut is for you. Matcha strawberry: I preferred this one. The swee

Apple fritter with a few specialized donuts. This ran me $42.50.

ASK how much the donut you want is or you maybe surprised about the price. I seen too many people come in and don't realize a specialize donut will run $7.50+. They don't label the price or name directly in front of the donuts. EGD makes some really good and creative donuts. The donuts taste fresh and are very airy, not cake like. They don't usually sell out early unless it's an initial release of a new donut. Service is good, the line goes pretty quick and there's usually two people helping if it gets busy. They don't have labels on the donuts so you'll need to ask them how much. The prices are shown on top by the ceiling but you won't know which donut correlates to which price. Overall good donuts with a tad bit higher pricing. I spent about $43 bucks for 6 donuts and a dozen donut holes. My main thing to get here is just the donut holes and regular donuts.

    Isnt she lovely?

Ive reviewed this shop in the past but i was inspired to write another just for their new creation the mango sticky rice donut! I know it looked good in the pictures but i didnt know it was this good hahaha i think im gonna have to say this is the best fancy elevated donut i ever had! Its stunning to look at with the flecks of gold and fushia on top and sesame seeds scattered as well. The mango cream is light and not too sweet, the donut is fluffy like always but what took it over the top was there was actually sticky rice and a mango puree when you bit in!!! Like what?!? I bow to you on this creation -good job, ang galing! jalhaess-eoyo, bien hecho! Looking foward to your future creations.

Super cute Holiday Donuts with the following designs: Candy canes, Penguins, Reindeer, Snowman, Santa, and Gingerbread House.

Sad they are TEMPORARILY CLOSED from 7/6 - 7/16! There's no other donut shop that we would want to go to in Elk Grove.

*Women Owned* Great variety of donuts, breakfast sandwiches, hot drinks, coffee, milk and other cold beverages. There is something for everyone. I'm fond of the cinnamon rolls, old fashioned glazed cake donuts and the chocolate bars. Friendly women work here (and a brother), quick service, efficient for as busy as they are, seldom wait over 5 minutes even when customers are lined up outside the door. Competitive prices. Take out obit, no sitting inside or outside. This is absolutely the best place to buy donuts in Elk Grove!

A great place to grab amazing donuts and I've been stopping by since they opened. There are so many different kinds of donuts and delicious! This time I tried the matcha green tea. I am more of a matcha girlie so I don't feel there was enough matcha and too much on the cream. Also tried this Dubai mochi chocolate "cookie". It's definitely rich with sweetness and chewy. It's always a great vibe and service when I stop by.

This is our favorite donut shop! If you don't go early enough, they'll sell out of the classics. You really can't go wrong. This day in particular, they ran out of the classic donuts so we got speciality donuts! Dubai chocolate was my absolute favorite, such an indulging treat, I enjoyed it throughout the day. Everything was delicious! The maple star was soooo good. The donut with cream and a macaroon was also perfect. Apple fritter and twist also on point. 10/10 for their donut taste and presentation. Service is always quick and friendly. Love supporting this shop. If you haven't tried this place, give them a try.

Elk Grove donuts it's one of the best gems elk grove has to offer! With their unique selection of drinks and donuts, you definitely don't want to miss out on paying them a visit . The two sisters working the front are always a joy to talk to and all of the donuts I've had here were always a hit . I love how they also use ceremonial grade matcha . My favorites are the ube and banana cream matcha. Looking for the best donut and matcha experience ? Come here!

    Amy T.

First time here. Parking is shared between a couple of businesses so it was packed. The line was out the door, so you kind of know the donuts must be good. Once inside, line to order was on the left. Line to wait for drinks to be made was on right. Service is fast. There are many options for your standard donuts and fancier donuts as well as drinks. I ordered the mango sticky rice donut, Dubai chewy cookie, and Mango sticky rice matcha. My family liked the Dubai chewy cookie over the donut based on texture and sweetness. Matcha was good. There are huge pieces of mango in the drink. More mango flavor than matcha. Will be back to try other items!

Ask the Community - Elk Grove Donuts

    Are there mini donuts?

    They have beautiful donut holes...

How much is the strawberry Dubai cup?

$15 Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Cup comes filled to the brim with fresh strawberries, a layer of crispy knafeh, topped with crushed pistachios, rich pistachio butter, and finished off with a smooth layer of milk chocolate.

Is the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup available during the weekdays or only weekends like the donuts?

I stopped by on a Friday morning and they had both available.

    Are you open Christmas Day?

    Yess from 5am-2pm

    Do they offer vegan options?

    No vegan options

    Do they sell cronut holes?

They don't but their donut holes are delicious! Highly recommend the ube filled donut holes - they're available randomly (follow their IG) but you can also place custom orders ahead of time for them.

    Do they serve vegan options?

Sorry, we don’t have any vegan donuts at the moment

What is the name of this business? It states Sport Clips, but the reviews talk about donuts.

Elk Grove Donuts, next door to haircut place. Other shops in this tiny center.

    Do you offer vegan donuts?

    No they do not.

    Do you serve mochi donuts?

    No, they don't!

Do they have any vegan donuts?

nope i wish.. first place in elk grove to have vegan donuts will have my business asap

Did you make birthday cakes? Do you have a book of different cakes? Or do you only make custom orders cakes?

Hi, if you are looking for a traditional birthday cake, we do not offer that. We do offer a "cake" donut which is a much denser cake than a traditional raised donut make with yeast. Let me know if that answers your question.

I mentioned the $3 discount to the cashier so she doesn't forget to deduct it, but when she told me the total, it was over $15. I told her it should not be that much because it's $13.99 before the discount, The cashier changed something in the register and my total became just under $12. I paid it because it sounded close enough, and waited for my order. When I received my order, it seemed awfully small to be a whole sandwich, so I questioned it, and Rosey, said my order was a half cold sandwich and on the wrong bread. She double checked with the cashier and printed my order out, and I told her it was completely wrong, so I had to wait for my order to be made. They called my name for pick up, but there were two orders ready at the same time. The other customer was given one of the bags, and was digging through, and opening everything to confirm the order. She said it was not hers, and thinking that the other bag for me, may have been her order, I didn't grab it, and eventually, they confirmed the bag left for me was her order, so she took it and left, after she questioned whether I opened it or not. They gave me the other customer's bag, but I brought up the fact that the other lady went through my entire order instead of having the preparer check the order, so Rosey offered to remake my sandwich, which meant more waiting. But I was very pleased with Rosey's attention to the matter, abs swift action to make everything right, and added a complimentary cookie for the mix up. I didn't ask whether Rosey was the manager or not, but my guess is, she IS, based on her pleasant and positive demeanor, and her efficiency. I could have left very frustrated, but because of Rosey, I left with a smile because she made sure I received what I ordered.

I ordered three breakfast sandwiches to share with my kids: the Sausage & Egg Asiago Bagel, the NEW Wake-Up BLT Asiago Everything Bagel, and the NEW Farmhouse Duo Asiago. The food was meh.. the sandwiches were smaller than expected for the price, and one had way too much arugula, which overpowered the taste of the sandwiches. On top of that, two of the sandwiches were missing ingredients (no cheese or tomatoes). And how are you out of croissant sandwiches at 9 AM? Not the best first impression, probably won't order again.

We really loved the nice thin glaze on each donut - they were not too sweet and we were very much impressed by the original glaze and this was my brother's favorite. The apple fritter was my favorite - nice crispy crunchy edges and soft on the inside - although I wish more apple flavor came through this is still a very solid apple fritter. My husband enjoyed the old fashion the best. Our least favorite was the blueberry cake donut as the blueberry cruller tasted way too artificial which is not to my personal taste. If you love classic donuts with no frills, this is a very solid spot located in a small plaza with decent amount of parking.

The berries looked beautiful -- fresh, bright, and exactly what you want when you're making something special and don't want to risk disappointing fruit. Produce quality really does make a difference, especially when it's the star of the dish. I also ended up finding a garlic olive oil I've been looking for, which felt like a bonus win. Nugget is great for those moments when you need something a little more specialty and don't want to drive all over town searching for it. The store was clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of, which I always appreciate when I'm just popping in for a few things during a busy day. The pugliese bread is my favorite as it is soft, fluffy, and taste delicious! The sourdough is also yummy and has a light airy consistency.  The sandwiches are made with the fresh baked bread and are delicious! Even though the store opens at 6am, the bread is not ready until 8-9am, therefore it is best to order a sandwich a couple hours after the store opens for the optimum selection of bread. I once made the mistake of ordering a sandwich at 7am and was only presented with two bread options: sliced bread or focaccia. I selected the focaccia and although the bread was tasty, it made for a very soft and ultimately soggy sandwich.  There is a large prepared/hot food section that is self-serve. On one occasion while I was selecting a soup to purchase I witnessed an employee wiping up the spilled food from the counter and putting it back into the large food tray. It was absolutely nauseating and I immediately questioned if I should even purchase the soup given the lack of proper food cleanup/handling.  The grocery items cost much more than other grocery stores for the same exact item. Nugget seems to carry a variety of high-quality ingredients and typical well-known brands. The cost of produce and meat is much higher than other grocery stores, although the meat is typically sourced from local farms.  During Thanksgiving Nugget carries a large selection of high quality turkeys. There are a few turkeys that are sourced from local farms that are advertised as natural, antibiotic free, and free range. When purchasing a Turkey for Thanksgiving it is always advised to call and preorder as the high quality turkeys sell out fast.
