I found Dr. Swati while comparing several other primary care doctors' reviews on different sights. She came on top. I have seen her for over a year. She is thorough in keeping up with my complicated 5 chronic illnesses. Dr. Swati's amazing power of empathy, understanding, explanation, and in-depth knowledge, inspires me to write this review. I am all impressed. She always greets me with a pleasant smile. She is amazingly dedicated to her profession with full devotion. She takes time to listen very patiently and shows great concern for the patient's needs followed by a clear explanation. She is very concerned about the welfare and the needs of her patients. Dr. Swati insists on high-quality performance from everyone around her, and they deliver it. Her office staff is always prompt to help by all means, Tamy and Alina are very courteous and helpful. This office is always well-organized, clean, and inviting, it feels like a home. Well as far as tjst other review I discount it and doubt ot is true. This is avery good and carring doctor. What is true is that she takes her time with you and the staff is very pleasant and efficient. I also like that she does't take on so many patients that it limits the my time with her. As for listening, I gind her to be a very good listener amd communicator. If she said you need to lose wait I think you better do it. read more

We went here for a Green Card medical exam, mostly because of the relatively low prices and proximity to our place. The whole process was more or less fast, although we had to wait for about a week for a lab results from the place doctor and her staff suggested us to go to (it's basically across the road. I suggest you pick a different one, if you have a choice). But it wasn't their fault. Dr. Swati is very friendly, accommodating with appointments times, but in all honesty the exam could be performed faster just to save us all time. We're very grateful to the whole practice for being sympathetic and re-doing our second set of envelops with the results of medical exam for free and as quickly as they could (our terrible lawyers simply lost the 1st one). My only suggestion for the staff is: please, call back when you ask for a number and promise to do so. read more

0 stars. I took Mrs Mungekar as PCP following an appointment for a medical exam for immigration purpose. During the immigration related visit (The Dr was 35 mins late) which mainly consist in ensuring that your vaccines are up to date, we talked about my medical conditions / medical history in my family and ran a blood check to ensure that my vaccines were still effective. We found that I needed to have my MMR vaccine redone. What they forgot to tell me (but I found this way later) is that I could get it at any hospital for (almost) free and instead paid $100 to have it done at Mrs Mungekar practice. Anyway, not a big deal, just an unpleasant discovery. Since I gave all my medical history following the immigration visit, I asked Mrs Mungekar to become my PCP, which she accepted. The main issues I then faced are the following: - They make mistakes My green card was denied because Mrs Mungekar forgot to test me for Gonorrhea (mandatory by USCIS since august 2016) - This practice cares about money. After becoming my CPC, Mrs Mungekar asked me to do a full blood work, which came out great except for my cholesterol level (which are now completely back to normal due to a major change in my diet). I got those results sent to me by mail. I was asked to come in to discuss about my results (that I already had in hand). It's not easy for me to take off work for a Dr visit and I travel a lot. I asked if I could know why the Dr absolutely wanted to see me but no reason were given except "discuss your blood results" (with refusal to do it over the phone) so I didn't really follow up thinking that in case of emergency the Dr would have called me herself and explain briefly why she wanted to meet. They further insisted so I made an appointment, went there and surprise: the FIRST thing I was asked was to pay upfront for an office visit! For reading my results? non-sense. I left. - This practice don't care about your health or emergency situations. Last February I got pretty sick (a real bad cold) for a week. I wanted to see Mrs Mungekar who didn't have any openings and the assistant propose me to wait for 4 days...(nice when you have high fever and feel so bad...). - This practice lies Mrs Mungekar office sent me a registered mail informing me that she will not be my PCP anymore as I didn't come for "a follow up appointment to manage my high cholesterol". BUT...Contrary to what's in the letter, I was never informed that the reason Mrs Mungekar asked me to come in for "reading my blood results" was actually related to my cholesterol! Nor that I needed a treatment! So tell me: What's the point of having a dr who will not read your results over the phone nor explain you why she wants to see you so bad? What's the point of having a PCP who can't see you when you are actually sick???? A Dr who'll revoke you because you don't want to go to see her for un-communicated reasons? Avoid. read more

We went to get USCIS paperwork done by Dr. Swati. She is a licensed Civil Surgeon for this, and was very accommodating and got us in the very next day, since this was a rush request. She advised us what additional vaccinations were needed, and we kept sending the documents to her assistant Tammy, who was very responsive throughout. Overall they were very professional, knew exactly what needed to be done for USCIS and helped us a great deal. I also took my dad to her when he was unwell, and she was able to quickly diagnose and assist him. We highly recommend Dr. Swati for being professional, friendly and having a quick response time. read more

Dr Swati and her staff is very friendly and professional. We go to her place for green card medical exam with reasonable price. The whole process is fast and convenient. We have 2 visits to her office, 1st one is for initial check and order any missing vaccinations, and 2nd one (2 days after 1st visit)is to get the result and fill the form in a sealed envelope. I am very happy with Dr. Mungekar. She has always spent the time to answer my questions and doesn't rush through the appointments. I've been practicing a much healthier lifestyle since she has been my doctor. I've lost about 25 pounds as a result of her. Takes too many trips, calls and too much waiting to complete uscis medical check process. Staff is not helpful providing misleading information on vaccinations, and who needs to be present to sign applications. Why is it required to bring the whole family more then once to sign papers beats me. read more

DR MUNGEKAR has helped me lose the weight I needed to reduce my high cholesterol. For the past several years I have struggled to lower my HDLs. The doctor recommended I come to her weight loss program which she held in her office on her own time after 5pm once a week. After 8 weeks I lost 20lbs and reduced by cholesterol to a healthy measure. She did not use any drugs but simply educating her patients on healthy choices and the use of a online journal so she could monitor your choices. I am very lucky to go to a doctor that takes the time to help her patients improve their health. read more

Unbelievable. I made an appt just over 2 weeks ago for my mother w/this Dr. The appt was for today, Monday March 6th, 2007 @ 2:30. As I'm writing this, it's now 11:15 am, Monday March 6th, 2017. Dr Mungekar's office just called me to tell not to bring my mother in today as this Dr "isn't taking new patients at this time". So the appt has been cancelled. I asked how it was possible that they didn't know the Dr wasn't taking new patients 2 weeks ago when I called & made today's appointment. The only response I got was "sorry, I'm new". Anyone looking for a Dr, don't bother w/Dr Mungekar for an appt, either she has completely incompetent people working for her or this Dr feels its ok to treat people so shamefully. On the other hand, maybe we may dodged a bullet by not seeing this Dr, she's probably just as incompetent as those she people who run her office. read more

Dr. Mungekar is a very competent and personable doctor and seems to have current medical knowledge. She takes the time to listen to you and explains your options in understandable terms. She does not overload you with technical information beyond normal comprehension unless you request it. She will contact you about lab results and results of other tests, even if there is no problem. She does not hesitate to send you to other experts for more tests or consultation if needed. Besides office visits and phone conversations, you can talk to her via email. She also sends general information (e.g. flu shot availability) via facebook. Her office staff is the best I have encountered in 60 years. They are competent and friendly. They answer their phone or will usually return your call in 60 minutes (during working hours) if you go into voicemail. They process insurance and RX requests promptly. My only regret is that we didn't go to her sooner. read more

I am updating my review as Dr. Mungekar reached out to me personally to go over my experience that to me was worth a few stars. I originally picked this physician based on her reviews not based off the office staff as the most important part of my care is the physician at hand. After my initial visit I did receive a follow up call from her office staff checking in on me and requesting a second visit with the doctor just as a follow up. We always have a choice in our care and I am choosing to stick it out with Mungekar as I believe she is a 5 star MD. read more

The list of complaints is endless. One time they changed my appointment on a phone message without asking me if I could make it. I send an email cancelling the appointment, but they accused me of being a no show. I had trouble getting her to renew my prescriptions. Numerous times they sent my prescription to the wrong drug store. Swati talked down to me as if I were stupid. One time when my blood pressure was up she asked me if I was afraid of her. What! One time I was having a colon issue and she asked me about my, "other hole." I decided to change doctors. I asked to have my medical records sent to my new doctor and they want to charge me a $25 copy charge. Most doctors do this as a courtesy. read more

Dr Mungekar has been the PCP for me and my husband for several years now. She really listens to her patients, and is both professional and compassionate. She is also very perceptive. We have never had difficulty scheduling appointments. She always seems to be on top of things, and gives wise advice. No such thing as a rushed 10 minute visit here; in our experience average visits may be 30-45 minutes, depending on what is being done. Her staff are all very pleasant and accommodating.
