And the beach itself is great! The water is actually so clear, I wasn't sure how it's be since it is atlantic side, and some of the more northern atlantic beaches are pretty murky, but the water here is just as pristine and crystal as they come! Tons of shells as well, especially some really cool orange-striped ones. I loved the day I spent here and wanted to stay longer, though the weather when I went did not bode well for that. Only downside I could think of is parking might get a little tricky because there's not a real big lot, but if you get there early you can get a front row and it's free! I will certainly be back and would definitely encourage you to come if you're debating!

This review is for the South side of Lake Worth Beach…read more Lake Worth Beach is the closest beach to me, and although I used to mainly only go to Kreusler Park adjacent to this, I have now begun hitting the opposite end, the very South Side of the beach. I park at the City parking pass spots on the bottom parking level, just in front of the grassy little hill, and let my kids run in the grass and climb the trees in the top part while I unload the car. Then we walk a short distance to the very South beach access. This part of the beach is lovely, usually you can walk out really far in the water, no rocks, fish around. The bathrooms are in a little building along here that also has an overhand where people gather when it rains, and the roundabout for pickups/drop offs makes this super convenient. I don't like the fake pigeon squawks, which are really annoying if you're hanging in the picnic area near here under the trees, which is where I usually have my kids eat instead of lugging food down to the beach. And the only 1 shower thing is frustrating, but otherwise, this is a lovely spot!

South Of Carlin Park are beach crossovers #22-#72. Some are maintained by Town of Jupiter, some by Palm Beach County, and some are private. The crossovers are stairs that you take from the road down to the beach. At the top of the stairs are showers. Crossovers #24, #31, #45, and #48 are ADA accessible. The 2.5 mile stretch of beach from beach marker #26 north to beach marker #57 is a dog friendly section of beach. The crossover sections do not have lifeguards or restrooms. If you are looking for life guarded beaches and amenities you need to go to one of the beach parks like Carlin Park, DuBois Park, and Jupiter Beach Park. Beaches that are maintained by the Town of Jupiter receive the assistance of County and Town, Friends of Jupiter Beach, a local non-profit group, that helps to keep the beaches clean while protecting natural resources. Note that sea turtle nesting season along the beach runs from March 1-October 31. Stay away from any nesting turtles and leave nests and hatchlings alone. Also do not leave any holes or sandcastles on the beach.

The view of the Lake Worth Lagoon is beautiful especially once you walk across the 556-foot boardwalk. The city skyline is beautiful from the lagoon; I love that pink building especially during sunset. There are three man-made mangrove islands. Due to over development, many wildlife habitats were forced out; the county created these islands in effort to bring them back. The restoration brought many local wildlife such as sea turtles, manatees, fish, and birds back. We usually find on-street metered parking and explore the city and we never miss this spot. It's definitely a quiet retreat once you get to the other side of the boardwalk. I've seen many walkers and bikers on it. They did a great job with this area.

The seeds for this natural area were sewn in 1998 when Palm Beach county county and others agencies…read morepledged to bring back wildlife habitats to the 20 mile long Lake Worth Lagoon with money from local, state, and the federal government. South Cove is located just north of the Royal Palm Bridge along North Flagler. At a cost of 3.4 million dollars it was built in 2012 by Palm Beach County with the help of other agencies to restore the estuary's natural features and habitats that have been lost through years of development. Dredging had left a 7 acre hole in the lagoon floor that was devoid of oxygen and could not sustain a habitat. Environmental Resource Management capped the muck on the bottom with sand and built three intertidal mangrove and salt marsh islands. They added 3.5 acres of sea grass and one acre of oyster reef habitat to clean and filter the brackish water in the lagoon. This natural area now cover six acres. When you visit you can stroll down a 356 boardwalk that travels over the water to the largest of the man made islands where it ends in a 16-foot-by-16-foot deck. Along the way you get a stunning view of the downtown Palm Beach skyline including Henry Flagler's mansion Whitehall. All of the islands are covered by red, white, and black mangroves that are home to fiddler crabs and provide a safe place for sea life to be born. The restored wetlands offers support to fish, wading birds, manatees, and sea turtles. After polluting the Lake Worth Lagoon for so many years it is nice to see something finally being done about it. This is one of three natural areas that have been created along the lagoon so that people can enjoy the wildlife that is returning to the area. Although there is no dedicated parking lot you can find parking on the street next to Trinity Park. Everyone should come out here and see why it is so important to preserve the health of the Lake Worth Lagoon.

There are boat launches and paid boat parking on one side and free car parking and a little cute beach that is good for snorkeling and scuba on the other side (under the bridge). I think the amenities here are very good:: long paved walkway with benches, restrooms, shower, oceanfront children's play area, & picnic tables. I noticed more families here with their coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. From the highway I can always see the historic Lake Worth Casino building, an icon since the 1920s, adjacent to the park & the beach. It has been converted into a 3,000 sq. ft. ballroom ~ the perfect venue for weddings & other special events. Almost every time I'm there I see someone walk up to the door, read the sign, & then leave, because they think it's still a casino! It anchors a shopping center with restaurants (including pizza & ice cream) & an Olympic-size outdoor Municipal pool, all open to the beach with perfect views. I spend more time here because I can throw on my coverup & take a break to eat & shop. Always remember to feed the meter @ the parks & beaches in Palm Beach County. Parking is $2 per hour. Kiosk takes Quarters or a Debit or Credit Card. It does not take paper money. There is a minimum of 2 hours / $4. Print the Receipt & lay it on your dashboard. Do not let your time expire ~ here or anywhere else.
