Today we launched our inflatable paddle boards right from Ocean Reef and paddled all the way down to the Pumphouse and back, a solid 2.7 miles of crystal clear blue water, warm summer sun, and zero crowds. The water was that perfect shade of turquoise that makes you forget you are in Florida and feel like you are somewhere in the Caribbean. Whether you are coming to snorkel the reefs, SUP the Intracoastal, throw something on the grill, or just plant yourself on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in South Florida, Ocean Reef Park delivers every single time. We walked about 10 minutes over the long wooden bridge leading from the park to the beach. There is a free golf cart ride available from 10am - 4pm, although I do recommend the walk for the experience itself. It was so beautiful, especially at dusk. The beach was absolute perfection! It was so clean and calm, a welcomed break from the crowds of the popular touristy locations. Perfect for relaxation. The water was perfect a temperature and clear. I plan on returning for their kayaking/paddle board experiences and other activities!

And the beach itself is great! The water is actually so clear, I wasn't sure how it's be since it is atlantic side, and some of the more northern atlantic beaches are pretty murky, but the water here is just as pristine and crystal as they come! Tons of shells as well, especially some really cool orange-striped ones. I loved the day I spent here and wanted to stay longer, though the weather when I went did not bode well for that. Only downside I could think of is parking might get a little tricky because there's not a real big lot, but if you get there early you can get a front row and it's free! I will certainly be back and would definitely encourage you to come if you're debating!

I came to a wellness event yesterday hosted by Cold Collective WPB and it was free and so much fun! They had so many great vendors and free samples and the workout classes were fun and engaging. The music was great as well and I easily found $1 parking by avocado grill! Highly suggest checking out this area if you're in town! Arrived at Riviera Beach public marina to launch our boat into the water. Extremely busy but…read moremanaged to be 2nd in line to one of the ramps. Scorching sun but only a ten minute boat ride to the island where hundereds of boats were anchored. We anchored the boat 10 feet from the edge of the island and floated on rafts in the hip deep clear water. The edge is rocky so dive boots highly recommended. The current was strong and other nearby boats merged into one another so you must stay alert or get squashed. No aquatic life observed. Walked around the island and noticed the garbage cans were overflowing, so not really sure who manages the island. A few picnic tables and public bathrooms deeper into the island. Small wildlife can be seen in the heavy brush. Fun time but bring sunscreen, water and snacks.

This review is for the South side of Lake Worth Beach…read more Lake Worth Beach is the closest beach to me, and although I used to mainly only go to Kreusler Park adjacent to this, I have now begun hitting the opposite end, the very South Side of the beach. I park at the City parking pass spots on the bottom parking level, just in front of the grassy little hill, and let my kids run in the grass and climb the trees in the top part while I unload the car. Then we walk a short distance to the very South beach access. This part of the beach is lovely, usually you can walk out really far in the water, no rocks, fish around. The bathrooms are in a little building along here that also has an overhand where people gather when it rains, and the roundabout for pickups/drop offs makes this super convenient. I don't like the fake pigeon squawks, which are really annoying if you're hanging in the picnic area near here under the trees, which is where I usually have my kids eat instead of lugging food down to the beach. And the only 1 shower thing is frustrating, but otherwise, this is a lovely spot!

Perhaps this is due to the location (hidden behind a tennis center and next to the palm beach island golf course), odd parking (either very expensive or a few farther spots free for part of the year and during certain times), or the need to climb a small hill to get to the beachfront. Incredible things about it: fairly secluded a huge grassy area with picnic tables and some top of the hill thatched pavilions. the beach often forms a little river of water seperate from the ocean that is great for kids the rocks: in calmer water, these rocks attract sea creatures and fish. You can snorkel and see awesome things just a foot from shore. The rocks are mostly flat so can perch on them if needed. they have some of the best showers, the ones at the bathrooms, which are close to where you park and not just where you leave the beach, plus there are bushes to hang your towels on and some privacy unlike many showers around.
