If i could give negative 5 stars i would. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. My system started alarming on 5/8/26, i was due for it to be pumped so i called them. They came out and pumped the system, informed me that i needed a new UV bulb, but that an additional service call was required to figure out if the ballast was still functioning. THE SERVICE CALL WAS $175, AND ALL HE DID WAS PUT HIS HAND ON THE BALLAST AND SAID "UH YUP ITS GOOD". He then informed me the UV bulbs were hard to come by and he didn't know how long it would be to get one. I waited and waited and waited, over a month goes by, then when i was outside one day i noticed a number on the side of my system so i called. I was able to order a new bulb with an entire wiring harness, it was delivered in less than 24 hours. All this after waiting 6 weeks with no word. Of course, just like other reviews i've read about this company he happily took my money, i mean why not right? i feel they excel at screwing the customer without any regard to service quality, i also feel they lack any sense of professionalism. Would give zero stars if possible. Guy came 4 hours early. I immediately said "I'm glad you're here". He did not reply or look at me in driveway. Husband not home since he came so early. He complained about heat, said he can't crawl under deck. I said then cancel. He refused to cancel. I said "then call my husband". He yelled at me "I ain't your husband". I called husband who tried to cancel. He refused to leave. Husband left work to return home 40 min drive. Service guy cleaned tanks in 20 min!? Seemed too fast. Reading other reviews I now wonder if he even got one tank clean. LEFT TONS OF SLUDGE ALL OVER OUR DRIVE. Husband had to spend half hour cleaning drive. He called to complain about service guys attitude. Girl at office said "oh he was having a bad day". Husband said well he shouldn't be taking it out on my wife. We won't be using you again". We've been using munn septic since we moved into our house in 2012. The previous owners, my parents, used them since 2002. We had them out every other year to pump 1 tank or 2. We maintained everything. Last year in the spring I noticed long grass and sludge in the feild. I called right away and said we need you to come take a look and pump our tanks. They came pumped the tanks and didn't even take a look at the feild...I called after he left and asked so what's wrong with our system and he said we'll I can't come look at it until next week. then once he did he mentioned a $2500 repair. OK. Well we got a second opinion and come to find out he didn't pump 2 tanks like we paid for. I'm very disappointed with this company. We used them for years....I would like to trust a company. After being away for a week we get home try to wash clothes only to find out that we need our septic tank emptied and fast. I called in the morning left a Message and had a return call within 20 minutes. Mike managed to get a truck out to us by early afternoon. We have used Munn for over 20 years, always received professional, quick service at reasonable prices. read more

Had a scheduled time for Munn to clean my tanks and they never showed, no call. When I did reach them and informed them I was cancelling the clean, the man responded "Whatever" and hung up on me. Great service recovery read more

The technician who came to pump our tanks was very informative and helpful. He advised us on a pump out schedule based on the size of our household and even what to do to keep the system running well. ( No "Tide" laundry detergent) He arrived on time, was respectful and efficient. I will definitely use Munn Septic again. read more

If zero stars were an option they would get zero. DISHONEST COMPANY, RUDE IMMATURE OWNER MIKE. Had them come look at our system when a light was alarming. They fixed the problem , told us we needed a new aerator for $1000. Called them back the next day they were open and let them know since it was currently working we were going to wait and not replace the part now . (That and under the warranty the part would have been $450 - so I'm sure they were planning on pocketing the $550). 5 days later on a Saturday at 6pm I looked out the window and they had the part pulled out of the system and were ready to replace it . The tech "couldn't get it working again " even though it had been working fine for over a week. Odd that when the police showed up he got it working right away. Called the owner mike only to be called an "idiot" and to be told our aerator was , "a piece of crap". Horrible company , dishonest , and clear ya really immature owner. read more

I called Munn Septic for an estimate for work on our septic tank. First, they are the only company that charges a fee to give an estimate. Next, they came out to give us an estimate. We later found out that they missed THREE leach boxes that needed to be replaced. Had they done the work without replacing these boxes, the system would not pass a county inspection. I requested that the money I paid for the estimate ($175) be returned because we were given incomplete and inaccurate information. After reading these reviews it looks like I dodged a bullet. I called and left a message a couple months ago and had 4 houses to have pumped. He called back after a couple days and I told him let's do it. I sent him the 4 address and told him to let me know when he was coming. He never did. I've left other messages and texts and never heard from him again. STAY AWAY from this guy! Small town crook and word is spreading... read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE RUN NOW DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY!! Wasted months telling us what was wrong with our septic system. Gave them 5k and they assured us the system would pass inspection which of course it DID NOT. Guess what?? When we called to tell them it failed again was told "not their problem". When things got heated they just refuse to return calls or respond. They provided no solutions, no refunds, nor did they offer to help in any way. Simply "not their problem". They knew all along the system was beyond repair and we needed to replace the entire system. They DONT replace systems, only repair. Essentially they didn't want to give anyone else the business so they LIED to take our money, did work that was unnecessary and did not fix the problem and then we had to spend another 17k with someone else who ripped out everything Munn had done. Totally unprofessional, thief's and LIARS! Had they told us the truth and referred us to someone who installs new systems, we would have saved at least 2 months time and over $5,000. We were in the middle of moving to another state and they knew it and took advantage of our vulnerability. On top of it all, MIKE the owner is rude, disrespectful and clearly has ZERO ethics. We had Munn clean our two tanks for the last 20 years. We found out this year that only one tank had been cleaned and we paid for two tanks. The owner insisted he'd come take a look. I told him there is nothing to see, it's been taken care of, but he owes me a refund. He is ignoring us. read more

We had Munn come out to do our septic at a rental property in Chardon, we left the check on the back door and marked a stake in close proximity to the septic lid. Even though he had been to our house in the past, he stated he was unable to find the septic, took our check and left. He immediately cashed the entire check, although he had not performed any work. We went to the property and found the septic within 5 min, it was 5 ft from the stake and a few iinches underground. We had another company come to do the work, Munn Septic has refused to return any or all of our money. When we said we would elevate it to small claims he said via text "have fun". We are beginning the court process now to get our money returned. This is a horrible company to deal with and their work was unethical. read more
