The week I got my braces off I noticed that when I didn't wear my retainer for over an hour my front teeth would shift to a gap. When I went for my retainer check a few weeks later I brought this issue to Dr. Birds attention and was told I was clearly not wearing my retainer and to keep up with my hygiene. I have a class 3 overbite. My bottom teeth press against the back of my top teeth so severely that my teeth physically can't stay shut. Bird never even put me in bands. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get their braces at bird.

For every single appointment we have ever scheduled (each of us 2x per year - that's 16 appointments) they call us a week or so before to reschedule. We have NEVER had an appointment scheduled 6 months in advance honored. #2 - At every single visit they try to upsell expensive dental procedures to me and my husband which we find incredibly irritating, but we always politely decline. At my last visit for my 6-month cleaning, the hygienist spent an hour telling me I have advanced periodontal disease (which was not the case 6 months prior) and that I now require a super deep cleaning involving periodontal scaling and root planing!! I was skeptical that my dental health had suddenly and so rapidly declined that I stated I'd like a 2nd opinion before I move forward to such a treatment. THE DENTIST REFUSED TO CLEAN MY TEETH saying I no longer qualified for a general cleaning because of my diagnosis! Then, she wanted me to sign a form stating I was refusing treatment. I didn't sign a damn thing and bolted out of the office telling them we would NEVER go back. I went to a new dentist today and, low and behold, she told me I have perfectly healthy teeth and gums with some minor bone loss to be mindful of, but not requiring periodontal scaling and root planing!! I am planning to file a complaint with the NC State Board of Dental Examiners.

Now, I feel like I was beat up and the bedside manner was absolutely horrific. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone!! Also, they forgot that they made an appointment for me on 11/11 and when I arrived, they told me that I didn't have one. Terrible business.
