It is located in the Avenue, so there is plenty of parking and shopping to do around this pizza place. It was freezing, so we sat inside, but there is seating outside with heaters. It is a order at the counter type of restaurant. But the bar and food are separate ordering stations. To eat, I got the gluten free margarita pizza and my friend got the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer. Again, this was the best gluten free pizza I ever had! I ate it all. It didn't even taste gluten free and still had some thickness to the crust, which I absolutely love and miss about a pizza when I have to get GF. My pizza was a lot smaller than a normal, non-GF pizza, but it still was a great size. To drink, I got the Aperol spritz and my friend got the maragarita. The drink was perfect! Service was quick and the atmosphere was on point.

We got an order of the focaccia, I ate almost the whole thing to myself! Then we ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza for the kids and a Tartufata pizza for us, omg it was so good and it had olive oil on top, which made it even better! After we ate, of course we had to go get some gelato. The cherry cheesecake gelato was to die for! The people who worked in here were very nice and friendly and the food came out fast! Next time I'm in the area, I definitely have to come again!

When I went with my husband we ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and we got the pollo a la crema and steak a la Mexicana. Both dishes were good although the chicken (pollo) dish was really heavy on the sour cream taste which I didn't care for but still ate and it took the rest home as well. The steak had plenty of great cuts of steak and veggies to go along with it. Only issue I had was with the guacamole appetizer, we had to literally make the guacamole ourselves. The server brought out all the ingredients on a plate and said enjoy! It was strange to us that had to do it ourselves but we did it and still enjoyed it. I think the quality of food is great as well as the service. The second time we went (husband) we got shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and the tortillas were very very greasy so I wouldn't get those again. Chips and salsa is good as well. The time with the group setting we had great service as well. Food was great, I got chicken and steak fajitas and again great taste. I know my friends got alcoholic drinks they loved them but did say they were really strong. Great place to go and get Mexican in the area and it being pretty authentic.

My only wish is that they introduce horchata to the menu, not sure if they didn't have it the day we visited or if it's not offered at all but I feel it would be very fitting and cohesive with the menu. Food is flavorful and portions are great, their refried beans are also out of this world. Definitely recommend! We visited during the day on a weekday so it was a bit slow but I'd imagine it's an even more lively and fun atmosphere at night.

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.

We sat inside and enjoyed a wide selection of popular music. - the music was a little too loud for my liking, but it's just a personal opinion. We ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer (half Parmesan & half buffalo). We were given our choice of ranch or buffalo cheese sauce and the wings came with some celery and carrots. We both ordered a popular bourbon cocktail (I can't remember what it was called) and the 12 hour boneless short ribs. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate peanut butter cake. Everything was delicious! Negative remarks: * We wish there was more meat per serving (the short ribs were $25). * After we finished eating, our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes. We were left hovering over empty plates and unable to order the dessert or our check when it came time.
