The bartender was very friendly and helpful. We went on a Thursday and it was Bingo night. We sat in the bar and the wings and pizza were good but the smoking was not cool. This bar allows smoking inside so there were several people smoking. If smoking doesn't bother you this a cool spot to hang out. read more

Local neighborhood bar and grill. It is a no frills place, but the drinks are good and the bar food is pretty good as well. Great burgers, homemade ranch. Cold beers, can't complain. read more

Hubby and I went for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it. One great thing is the bar is not far from our house. Next the waitress was very nice and professional also the food was great. I joined this bar for a drink and to watch my Baltimore Ravens play. Okay now the bar was cool and the waitress was awesome but the wings were undercooked. I bit into one and it was reddish at the bone and the meat was tough I was shocked that any bar could mess up on wings that's the most popular appetizer. Food was actually pretty decent. But the bar atmosphere they had was a no for me. I mean it's a bar with bar food that's it. But for some reason this place was just off. The drinks were not good at all. They tasted like bottom shelf or not what we actually ordered. For an example, I ordered a Hennessy Margarita, and it didn't taste like it had Hennessy or any grand marnier. The French Connection my date order definitely was not top shelf. But I shouldn't have expected it to tasted like it should just based on the atmosphere alone. So i just chose not to drink it. Our waiter was sweet but not very attentive. She took forever to even greet us and took forever to even come to our table when we were ready to leave. The music was loud and playing from somebody's phone or something because it was so inconsistent and on repeat. I guess in a nut shell... the only thing that was good about the bar was the food. As the previous person said... make no mistake, this is a locals bar. So my 4*s is for a better than expected locals bar. Drinks are cheap. There's a nice patio where you can go out and smoke. They do poker on Monday and trivia on Tuesday(?) nights. There is one very, very pretty (and nice!) waitress. You'll know who I'm talking about when you see her. I just don't like going on Friday and Saturday nights because they play hip-hop real loud, and it kind of defeats the purpose of going to a locals bar to chill out. It took us over an hour to get our food. We ordered lemon pepper and medium wings and only got the medium on all 20. We ordered an order of fried green tomatoes and didn't get them and the pizza was cold. It was a to go order and so we ordered a drink a piece for the wait...the bill was over $30 so they charged the gratuity on our check. That always upsets us because it limits the waiter/waitress...because we tip more than 15% and my husband was trying to explain this to the manager and he starts to be belligerent about it. All he had to do is apologize and say he would try to do something about this policy...customer service dude! Why argue about it? So all around bad experience...and it could have been avoided. By far the best place I have been too while here for the Atlanta Race!!! I had the Rib Eye and it was excellent. My other half had the Grand Stand Nachos and said that they were amazing!!! Met some friends there in December and had a good time with them and the waitresses were great. BUT the bartender (short, balding guy) is a cheat. He shorted me on my change and over charged me. I would say DO NOT run a tab and ask how much the drink is before you order it.
