So on a whim, we decided to try this place. Right off the bat, we liked it. The ambiance is friendly, the staff was welcoming and seating availability was more than adequate. The appetizers were outstanding. Since we were in the south, we had to try the Green Fried Tomatoes, which were good especially with the goat cheese garnishment . The Lobster Deviled Eggs were outstanding also. For entrees, our party had the halibut, the Steak au poivre, (2x, one medium and the other medium well) and the flounder. All of them were excellent, but special remarks must be given to the halibut. It was truly delicious. The deserts were a perfect closure. One negative comment: the wine availability was "meh". We ordered one bottle from the list that was not available. The substitution was ok. The white wine bottle we ordered as the seafood complement was adequate but did not match the otherwise extraordinary quality of everything else. We also had two very good cosmopolitans, with a local flare. Definitely will try those again. Will visit again when in the area! read more

I think one of the hallmarks for a good restaurant is if they offer warm bread. Pascal's does, crusty slices with real butter. Hot, filling, French onion soup, topped with more of the crusty bread and a slice of Gruyère cheese should start off any cold weather meal here. Tonight we came specifically for the raw oysters so we got a dozen they come with the normal cocktail sauce, set up and crackers, but they also have mignonette sauce available. I've been a customer since 2009, and the original owner made it so welcoming, and the torch (so he could retire) was successfully passed to the new owner who is personable, caring and welcoming. His staff is like a family yet the restaurant still holds a level of elegance that is not easy to balance when it's as warm and comfortable as this place. I liked it so much, after I retired, I started my business of entertaining people. I sing just about everywhere locally, and I was welcomed to sing here. Had dinner with friends for Christmas. We decided to co m to pascals to see how the new owners are doing. We made a rez for 6:00 pm and arrived early and were seated immediately. We met our waitress at that time who took our drink order and appetizers. Thats when I knew it was going to be a long night waiting. 20 minutes later the salads came out. We already ordered our entrees and w e were just waiting and waiting. Finally The food came and it was good and hot and delish! I decided on desert. I ordered the key lime pie which wasn't very good and my friends ordered the bread pudding which was served cold and really not good. I give them a 6 out of 10 stars for service. read more

Wow. What a great place. Ambience is cheery and bright. Service is fast, friendly, and given with a smile. Seating is at table which are properly spaced, giving you a sense of privacy no matter where you sit. However, there are no booths. Came here for lunch. Pasta bar is fun with lots of choices. Made fresh and hot. My husband ordered the roasted chicken club sandwich on sunflower bread. Again, fresh and very tasty. French fries that came with the sandwich are cut in house and came out piping hot, just as we like them. Very generous portion of crème brûlée. You could tell it was made that day. That it hasn't been in the fridge for three or four days. Highly recommend you come here. read more

I had a wonderful dining experience! The service was amazing from the time I walked in, which really set the tone for the evening. I had calamari, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The highlight of the night was the Shrimp & Scallop Rockefeller. It wasn't overly sauced, the shrimp and scallops were plump, and the bacon added just the right amount of salty goodness. My spinach ravioli was frozen ravioli with a very gritty unpalatable unknowable filling, undercooked peppers, red onions and spinach piled on top and a very bland sauce. Left more than 2/3 on my plate. Daughter ordered the baked flounder, again no fresh food to be found. Fishy and the saffron sauce and rice were flavorless. The wait staff were fantastic though, friendly and efficient, kept the water glasses full. Definitely not a good meal. read more

Been here twice now and both times the food was excellent. Ordered the NY Strip with the potatoes and both were delicious. The potatoes was a good size portion and were fluffy and well seasoned. The steak was ordered medium and cooked to a nice hot pink center to where I barely needed a knife to cut it. The sauce was really a nice compliment as it added to the overall meat flavor. I would have given five stars, but as I said this was the second time I have eaten here and both times a made a reservation at least a week out and both times when we arrived they said they had no record of the reservations. I found this especially odd for the visit on the 30th because someone called earlier in the day to verbally confirm the reservation. With that being said, we will definitely be back read more

Where do I start? We were seated at the same time as a party of 12... they left 30 minutes before us. Backstory? We waited so long for waitstaff our waters were filled twice. We thought the waterer might mention this but I had to get up and ask the hostesses if we could get service. Everything was absolutely amazing! We were seated quickly and our waitress took our drink order and came out with them promptly. This was my first time here, so I needed help with some recommendations. In the end I went with the Boeuf Bourguignon and my wife had the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Looking over the menu, I mostly wanted something with mashed potatoes because I saw someone else with them and loved how they were plated. At first I thought it was whip cream or a meringue next to green beans and really wondered about the platting arrangement (that would be really weird!). After sitting down for a bit it dawned on me that it was mashed potatoes! They taste as amazing as they look!! I have to say that I loved my wife's meal more than mine. It was definitely well marinated, but the texture was slightly off for me. My wife's chicken was more to my liking. Next time!! I really liked the layout. French and New American is an accurate description of the selection of both sophisticated and familiar offerings presented. Our foursome for dinner selected four different entrees, wine and two appetizers, and none of them disappointed! My choice was the Chef's special for that day, which included appetizer, 16 oz. NY strip with a sauce and delicious pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Comfortable contemporary surroundings, quiet ambiance and excellent service were perfect for our foursome to catch up on everything.
