    Lobster Vodka Ravioli

Had to give Murph's a try in Fishtown after everyone raving about it. I got the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce and it was unbelievable! Had to end the night with cannolis obviously. The service and atmosphere was great and it felt like such authentic italian.

Little bar serving great food! Sat by the bar for faster seating but hard to get the bartenders attention since they're busy bartending. Was able to order some pasta. - pear pasta: slightly sweet, el dente pasta but personally not my type of food - lobster ravioli: lobster filling was absolutely amazing ! - arancini: crispy and potatoey Will be back to try other pastas!

GET THE MEATBALLS! ALWAYS START WITH THE MEATBALLS! They will not disappoint. 10/10. Best meatballs ever. I ate them so fast, I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. When my friend told me we were going to get pasta, I wasn't expecting to end up at Murph's but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Every pasta dish sounded so good I wanted to try them all. I tried the lobster ravioli which was so good but the portion was smaller than the other pasta. I also got this pappadella pasta with shrimp. I liked the raviolis better. I don't know what the inside of the bar looks like as we sat outside. The wait was very long.

Great food with a no frills ambiance. We loved the meatballs, gnocchi, and ragu. (Even better when sitting at the bar with a dirty martini!). Remember to bring cash!!

Wow this place is incredible. Everyone says to come here for good italian and it did not disappoint. This place takes no reservations so be prepared to wait for a little bit. I came here on a Wednesday around 5:30 and waited about a half hour to be seated. I never wouldve thought an Irish pub would have such good food! I came with a friend and we each tried a pasta dish! Both were delicious. Mine came with steak in it, and it was cooked perfectly. Prices were super reasonable as well. Cheap drinks too!! The space is pretty small but service was wonderfull too. Can't wait to get back here!!

Although this place is a sports bar ambiance, the food is really good Italian!! My fiancé and I both enjoyed our pasta dishes we got and would absolutely come back to try other menu items! It's first come first served seating, and the staff was friendly and took care of us :)

Murphs never disappoints. Food is always amazing. The best Italian food around. The service is always great and staff is so friendly. Love this spot so much! The ambiance is great as well! Prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of food they serve. Don't mind the food pics that have been eaten already, couldn't resist digging in as soon as it hit the table.

10/10. The menu had a great selection, portions were large and the prices were very reasonable

Had such high expectations for Murph's Bar - we came around 5:45pm on a Saturday and knew we'd have to put our name down and wait. Had to wait so long that my husband had to move our car because we lost our parking, but it was fine because we were excited to try the rave-reviewed food. Got seated around 8pm ish and quickly ordered as we knew what we wanted - involtini di melanzane, pear & cheese fiocchi, and ricotta ravioli. The inside is super busy and packed, and we were backed up against the wall between the bar in the entry way - which, again, was fine because I knew it was a bar and we were just excited for the food. However, the food was hugely disappointing - genuinely flavorless, tiny portions. The involtini was probably the best dish we had and even that was not good - lots of cheese, tasteless sauce. The fiocchi was just too sweet and the ravioli was boring, we had to sprinkle on lots of red pepper flakes for flavor. Left still hungry and let down - have had much better pasta in Philly and didn't feel like Murph's was anything special / worth even a 10 minute wait. Maybe we came on an off night but based on this wouldn't recommend it!

Was told this irish bar had some of the best pasta in philly so i had to come. No reservations and i suggest an early walk in. Ambience is truly like an irish bar and would not expect italian food. Also its cash only Food wise, does live up to the hype for most items, especially the red sauces. Personally the white sauces were a little bland for me but well done nonetheless the less. Pasta is nicely al dente which is huge and prices are very affordable. Definitely some authentic pasta options while including some american italian dishes.

I really enjoyed dining at Murph's! The service was great and so was the food. The ricotta paired well with meatballs and the tomato sauce by adding a little bit of sweetness. I really enjoyed the seafood manicotti (you can really taste the seafood) and the pear and cheese fiocchi (sweet, creamy, and some crunchy bits of pear inside the pasta). My friend preferred the gargenelli amatriciana, which was onion-forward; I was also pleasantly surprised by the spice level (it was spicier than I expected). We were sat by the bar, but even with all the background noise, it wasn't too loud for us to carry a conversation. Hoping to be back soon!

I truly don't know how the judge this because the food is amazing, but the rest of my experience wasn't good. I don't mind the dive bar interior vibe, but the service wasn't pleasant or swift. Every time I asked for or ordered something I felt bothersome. I was knocked into while sitting at my table every minute. This was no one's fault since the space was so tight, but it still really sucked lol. Like if the food was just ok or even good, I would never come back or recommend it. With all that being said, the food really IS THAT GOOD. Perhaps, go on a weeknight and go early. Hopefully, that'll give you a better experience.

I'm mad I put off going to this place for so much the food was so bomb and the drinks were good as well! Great service. The lobster ravioli was to die for. To drink I go the Starwberry Lone Ranger if u like tequila. They're cash only but have a ATM inside

Its pretty cool on the inside, definitely passes the Irish pub vibe check. One thing that killed it for us right away: it was LOUD. Sure, we're not in our twenties anymore, but we're not super old. It was mid afternoon, before dinner time, and the music was so loud we were going to have to yell across the tiny table to hear each other. After walking around in the heat all day it was just not what we were looking for. We did stay for a drink. He had a decent old fashioned, though pretty tiny for the price. I had a beer, and it was what would be expected. The one thing that really stood out was the server. She was nice, pleasant, and very quick. I'd maybe go back if I was in the right mood, but that day was certainly not the day for me.

Neither of us were hungry enough for a big dinner, and we were too tired to wander the city. Moriarty's came up in a yelp search, and we love an Irish pub, so we decided we'd give it a shot. The interior space is definitely Irish pub, but also has some pretty touches. It's not too dimly lit, and its not crazy loud, which was super nice. We sat at the bar, and it was a slow enough time that we were able to chat with the bartender a bit, as well as a regular patron seated near us. We had some really fun conversations! It was a great spot to have a drink, a quite bite to eat, and ride out a storm. I would absolutely go back if we find ourselves in the same area in Philly again.
