    Great service from beginning to end. We went here as a group after a Temple University graduation. Lots of on street parking available. Every dish was family style to share & presented well. We all had opinions on which dishes we liked best. Would definitely go back to try pizza as we did not & it looked great.

    Came here for happy hour. We sat on the patio and it was nice, very pretty. We got the eggplant and broccolini Caesar to start. Both were very good. We also got bianco spritz. Also very good. Service was great. Got the cacio e Pepe which was fine. Nothing to write home about. The daily pizza sounded so good but they weren't able to remove the prosciutto. It didn't make any sense to me but it was fine and it's their policy to not make any modifications to the daily pizza.

    Very cute spot. Food and service was hit or miss. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. They ask that you order everything at once and we unfortunately never saw our waitress again after the initial order until we were ready for the check, so we were unable to order more drinks or dessert or request more water. Food-wise, the complimentary bread was amazing. The oysters were good. My husband got lasagna and said it was fine. I ordered the caramelle and it was very unevenly cooked. Some noodles were more cooked than others, temperature varied greatly based on the bite. I would return for a drink and app for the vibes of the beautiful dining room, but wouldn't return again for dinner.

    We wanted to get a nice dinner before our show and heard Osteria had one of the best happy hours in the city. We couldn't decide on what to get so we basically ordered the whole happy hour menu. I am sometimes weary of some places I find online but this place did not disappoint. Dish after dish was absolutely amazing! The liver rigatoni was very umami and the irony lover flavor was very subtle. The pizza was super thing and had a nice crisp bottom layer. The broccolini was my favorite and made me want to order two more. The only thing that was not an absolute must try was the cacio e Pepe - it was just ok for me. Aside from that, we loved every single item we got! Drinks were also very good as well. Great food, good atmosphere and all for a great price makes this one of the best happy hours I have ever experienced!     Not one of my favorites and wouldn't try again. Everyone was super friendly but the food just did not hit. We started off with some apps The hamachi crudo - really good. Probably the only great thing we had Whipped ricotta - It was fine, nothing special For the main dish, we got the ravioli special which was ok but came out lukewarm and just a tad too much sauce. I can see what they were going for. We also got the cod. It was not good at all, had literally no flavor and was just flat out bad for $37! Nice atmosphere but tables are on top of one another. Not special for a date night

    Stopped in for a tasty dinner with friends, trying a few different things. As soon as you walk in, the ambiance is so warm and welcoming. That side patio area is quite picturesque, but we sat in the dining room. Our server was on point to explain the menu and make sure everything was fine. Being able to watch the line and dishes coming out was also interesting. Gnocchi with duck ragu was very tender and flavorful. A solid portion and balanced nicely. Good savory and herb flavors. Also tried the Gorgonzola fig pizza, and this was a great mix. Sweet and savory, though the Gorgonzola flavor was a bit more subtle compared to the strong sweetness. Good crust on both. Apple upside down cake for dessert was heavenly. The apple flavor definitely had the spotlight. Cocktail options were all interesting and had good mentions. Nice cozy spot for great food and drink.     Let me start off with saying Osteria is now in our top 5 restaurants of all time. This review scale should be on a 10 or 100! Everything about Osteria was top shelf --- service, plating presentations, ingredients and preparation. Holy cow we have found a special place for when in Philly. Shout out to Connor or server and director of table side first impressions.... he was awesome. From explaning dishes, to fielding questions to pacing out courses out to making it a overall great tasty experience. We opened with a bottle of Ca Liptra Amista Montepulciano, was a perfect paring with our dishes. Started with a chefs' special experiment seafood appetizer, list on our receipt as Antipasti Special-- they called it seafood in crazy water, clams, muscles and razor clam in a phenominal broth with a pizza crust dough baked and served atop the dish; reco was to remove it tear it up an dunk into the broth.... WAS DELICOUS. Next we shared the gnocchi dish off the menu and that too was delicous. The best gnocchi dish, don't even waste your time trying to compare it to a night out in NYC's Little Italy or any of Philly's old school italian restaurantes. For the main that we also share was the Tomahawk pork chop cook medium-raw and interestingly (see my photo) was partially slice off the bone, into a delightful platting presentation. We wrapped up our dining experience with a maple wanut cheescake and round of cappuccinos (one regualr and one decafe). We were not rushed as we were timing for a concert at the Met; hence Connor did a great job pacing as we were not in a rush and still made the second of the two opening acts. The dining room, accessed through the main bar area then a long corridor was a lovely unexpected surprise as it was quieter and had a lovely ambiance. On the way out we ran into the manager and raved about our first experience. Again, see our food photos and follow me on Yelp as we get out a lot.

    Absolutely fantastic!! I was fortunate enough to meet a group of friends here for dinner last week. I had heard a lot of good things about the menu and the overall experience, so of course I was very excited to try them. The drinks are party had were wonderful, as was the wine. If you like gin, I would recommend their "Last Word" cocktail. It is perfectly balanced and delicious. It does not overwhelm your palate with raw spirit that overshadows the other ingredients that the mixologist has taken the time and effort to pair with it. One of the best things to do at Osteria is to order several dishes and share them family style at the table, because the flavors are so wonderful. We started with their summer corn pizza (Panocchia), which was delicious, and we also had their peach pizza (Etna), which was something I had never tried before and did not disappoint. We got the grilled broccolini, Caesar salad, salad, which was exquisite, along with their heirloom tomato carpaccio with boquerones - one of my favorites! For pasta, we had the chicken liver rigatoni, which is absolutely amazing, and you must not miss it. We also had a daily special, which was a nice round pasta with hot sausage and tomatoes/mozzarella. We also ordered a porterhouse steak for the table. This came perfectly cooked, with a wonderful external crust and perfectly medium rare inside (pink). This was also absolutely delicious! Of course, we did have to try their desserts, which were the Neapolitan cheesecake, the Bomba di cioccolatto, and peach upside down torta. All of them were amazing and complemented this extraordinary meal perfectly. The service was wonderful, and the owner took his time to check in on our party to see how we were doing. Presentation was excellent, and overall just made everything even more perfect. The ambience was also a major part of my enjoyment of the dinner, since we were seated in the back under the translucent roof, so it felt like we were dining outside, but were very comfortable in the air air-conditioning since the day was very hot outside. I'm already looking forward to my next visit when I come back to Philadelphia again! Bravissimo!!!

    Osteria might be a bit out of the way from the very center of the city, but it's absolutely worth coming out here for the beautiful ambience (with the off-center location allowing it to be plenty spacious) and the luxurious yet reasonably priced pizzas and pastas. We were very lucky to be seated in the greenhouse space, with all the natural light and foliage of outdoor dining plus the climate control of indoors. My table started with the Etna pizza to share, and the combination of in-season peaches and funky cheese was bursting in flavor. The complimentary focaccia bread also went above and beyond most restaurant breads I've had. I had the chicken liver rigatoni as my entree; I like liver and had high expectations and it absolutely matched them with its creamy and meaty flavor that reminded me of a french onion soup. It was an unexpectedly filling portion, and I honestly probably didn't even need the pizza. My partner had the beef brisket casarecce (which might be a seasonal item), which was also incredibly meaty and flavorful. It took a little while for our entrees to come out (so perhaps the pizza did help tide us over), but we were also treated by a visit from the manager checking in. Service was smooth otherwise. I'd definitely come back again for a special meal; there was what seemed like a bridal party or rehearsal diner while we were there so clearly others have the same idea!

    Loved the whole ambiance of Osteria! We were seated outdoors on the covered patio and it really elevated the whole dining experience! We got the margarita pizza and wood fired chicken to share. The pizza was delicious with thin crispy crust but the chicken dish was the star of the night! It was tender and packed with flavor. I just wish the portion was a bit larger and came with more potatoes. Overall, the dinner and the service was great! I will be back to try their happy hour menu!

    Great northern Italian restaurant with a sophisticated and comfortable interior, excellent service and excellent food. We had a party of six. We tried three appetizers, whipped ricotta, the grilled octopus and the hamachi crudo. All three were delicious. The octopus was very tender and delicious. The whipped ricotta comes with bread, and is the largest of the three. Great for sharing. I think the octopus and hamachi had 5 pieces each. For mains we had mostly pasta and one branzino. For pastas we had the wild boar candele which was really great. The candele noodles are long and thick. Delicious but harder to manage on the plate. My dad got it with tagliatelle instead and also enjoyed it. It was not overly heavy or rich. Smelled and tasted amazing. A decent sized portion as well. The pesto shrimp tagliatelle was great as well. My wife got the Caramelle which is a smaller portion and also has a strong flavor which she wasn't crazy about. I had a taste and the pasta and honey nut squash were really nice but there was an aftertaste of marzipan which I didn't enjoy either. The branzino is a whole fish, you can have them remove the head and tail before bringing if you want it that way. My daughter had the lasagne which she loved as well. For desert we had pistachio gelato. And delicious coffee. This restaurant is excellent and priced appropriately. Food and service are top notch. Highly recommended.

    Went here for my birthday dinner with a friend and really enjoyed it! We had a reservation for 5:30pm on Friday, and at that time it wasn't crowded, but when we left, it was a full house. I ordered the canestri and devoured it lol for my drink, I ordered the Principessa and it was perfect. My friend wanted to take a shot for my birthday and was looking for a suggestion from our waiter. The waiter asked if we trusted him, and he did not disappoint. The shot had limoncello, cinnamon, and something else, but it was so good! The sorbet was delicious as well. I hadn't explicitly ordered it, but I think it may have been raspberry. I would absolutely come back!

We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

We also got a cheeseboard to share, which was bigger than the server made it sound and not bad for a little snack between the 5 of us. Overall nothing was super special, but it was a nice spot to stop in and have a drink and a bite. Would consider coming back if I'm killing time in the area.

The tasting menu had three tiers you could choose from- $35, $45, and $55/person. We chose the $55/person option which included the full menu of tapas as well as dessert. They pick the most popular dishes to bring out to the table but also allow you to request any specifically that you'd like. By the end of night, we had a TON of food, even more than we could finish, and ended up trying at least 15 different dishes. All the food was great, with some of my favorites being the eggplant caponata (cold, very flavorful), scallops a la plancha, jamon & manchego croquetas, spiced beef empanadas, and the paellas. Favorite dessert was the chocolate cake, but we were received all the desserts other than the ice cream and sorbet. I may have liked the food experience less if I had ordered off the regular menu and only tried a few small plate, but I loved the option of trying so many dishes. By the time we finished everything, we had been there for over 3 hours (including lots of wine of course), which was really fun! The place gets packed on a Saturday night so we would not have gotten in without a reservation.

After finally looking over the menu, I don't think these are regular offerings so I appreciated them trying to be accommodating to a frazzled parent at dinner time. My vegan mother in law joined us and we were pleased that there were so many options for her. My absolute favourite (such that I had to order another round) was the eggplant caponata - perfectly sweet with a little bit of spice. It was so warm and comforting - exactly what I want at the end of a long cold day. My MIL's fav were the Brussels sprouts - they had a tang reminiscent of buffalo sauce and were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, textured heaven (extra bonus points for the 3 year old absolutely LOVING them - he redeemed himself). If you like hummus, try the spinach and chick pea cazuela. Squash is in season so I knew it was going to be delightful - the pomegranate was a combination that was new to me, but it didn't disappoint. We didn't try the roasted carrots (because my household is all carroted out for the moment) but someone one table over was gushing over them. As a meat eater, I have to say that the non meat tapas were standouts - I tried the empanadas, they were fine; I didn't enjoy the meatballs and I just wanted to order more of the eggplant caponata. All in all, I would definitely come back, maybe for drinks with friends or date night. The drink list looked inviting and nothing says intimacy like mood lighting and shared plates. The price (without alcohol) was very approachable - for $80 a vegan, a 3 year old and a frazzled mom left satiated.

We came in on this Wednesday for the sips happy hour and it was wonderful. They have $7 cocktails and spritzes, $6 wine and $5 beer. Each had a couple drinks, the Hugo spritz, Limoncello lemon drop, had the Gruner Veltliner - all really good, We also had an order of the bruschetta, which was ok, and the arancini which was one of the best I've had! Creamy inside and delicious sauce. Love this place and will definitely return!

This place is great for large parties as you can order individually at the counter, and it's seat yourself. As I mentioned, it was my birthday and the employees working really made me feel spacial. They were so sweet the entire time we were there, and they were on top of everything the entire time. They even gave me a free glass of wine!! The food was lovely, and I'd know since we ordered everything off the HH food menu. Even though some of the items I didn't like, I could still tell the quality of the ingredients. The focaccia and polenta fries were my favorites!! They reasons this isn't a perfect five for me is because the HH menu is pretty limited. Also, I've tried to come to Alimentary before, and it just didn't work out. As in the restaurant wasn't available to the public due to a private party. Also, it's quite literally just an hour long and only runs during the week.
