Dr. Kari saved our Bella. After the 1st adjustment Bella got much worse. After the 2nd adjustment, she miraculously began to improve. Less and less pacing with each adjustment. Now after 8 weekly adjustments, our Bella is off all meds and back to her old self. Lessons learned: a vet can stabilize the pain, a chiropractor can heal the injury . If you don't know who to trust, trust Dr. Kari. Worst case scenario, your pet will improve, best case scenario, they will completely recover. Without help, your pet will suffer. Oh, how much we wish we met Dr. Smith when Maia was younger... Maia got really sick and we brought her to CHAI for her last visit, 2 weeks ago. The room where we said a final good bye to Maia was specially decorated for such an occasion. The two precious, compassionate, kind and caring young ladies made Maia and us feel loved and understood. We cried a lot and they gave us plenty of last moments with Maia, frequently checking on us. Dr. Smith took her time to comfort us and was compassionate and caring. We cried and Dr. Smith cried with us. We were really touched and we will never forget how special they made us feel in one of the most vulnerable and devastating time in our lives. Today, we received a hand written card from CHAI written by multiple members, with beautiful personal messages about Maia. We cried again as we read their wishes for us. In all their years of animal care, they had never seen anything like this Harper's case. Harper had a 14‑pound tumor removed from her stomach, a surgery so complex that it required all three veterinarians, Dr. Mays, Dr. Lively and Dr. Bennet to complete it. Dr. Bennet actually came in on her day off to assist, simply because she cared that much about Harper. That alone speaks volumes. And thank heavens she did, because Dr. Bennet had to hold the 14-pound tumor for the duration of the surgery. The days following surgery were touch and go. On day two, Dr. Mays recommended a blood transfusion for Harper and that made all the difference. The attention to detail never wavered--Harper had staples from her neck to her "lady parts", placed so meticulously that they looked like a zipper. That level of precision, care, and love was truly incredible. Even after Harper came home, the care didn't stop. The veterinarians checked in on her every single day. Within days, Harper went from sleeping constantly and struggling to walk to acting like a puppy again. I have met many veterinarians over the years, but I have never experienced this level of compassion, dedication, and skill. I love these doctors and their entire staff, and I highly recommend them to any pet owner. They don't just treat animals--they truly care for our fur babies as if they were their own.

They got Mac in immediately and we had the bloodwork back inside of 30 minutes (probably less). It showed that our boy suffers from Addison's Disease, a condition where the body doesn't make the necessary hormones. After a shot and some pills later Mac is feeling himself again, and as he has to be monitored for the rest of his life we'll be seeing lots of Dr Lively, Dr. Mays and the fantastic staff at KAC. (Disclaimer: we have known Drs. Mays and Lively for many years, and you'll be hard pressed to find better, more caring veterinary care. And if you have an emergency they're even open until midnight!
