None of them had ever been boarded much less had a pet sitter so we were a little nervous, both for our puppies and for Sharon. She was recommended by friends and put us at ease immediately. She came to our house to meet all the babies on 2 separate occasions prior to the actual start of pet sitting. She recommended staying with our crew as easier on them (and her), and it was a fantastic idea. She sent us pictures and videos of everyone and communicated what the babies were up to daily while we were away. We did not worry AT ALL while we were gone. The peace of mind was priceless. We are so happy we found Sharon and 100% recommend her.

She was dependable, responsible, played with the kitties, we could tell -- when we came back they were so happy and friendly. She is a real animal person, from the minute she was interacting with them, all of her attention was on them! She was also communicative, she would send us a photo of the cats on text, and let us know how they were doing. Such a lovely treat when you're missing your cats!! She also took care of our mail and watered plants, which was a pretty big task since we had several box gardens on our porch! This was very nice to have as well. We've just recently been trying to find a pet sitter in our new city (out of TX state) and I remembered what a nice, calming and comforting thing it was to know Michelle would take good care of our cats while we were gone. Her prices were very reasonable too, and the peace of mind was worth every penny.

I've been bringing my dogs here for years first my late dog, and now my current miniature schnauzer. If you look back at my previous review photos, you'll see the PERFECT schnauzer cut they used to do. Consistent. Professional. Distinguished little gentleman energy. Recently though, scheduling became nearly impossible. Every conversation sounded like: "Let me confirm if our groomer is actually working that day..." After weeks of trying to coordinate schedules, my schnauzer's hair got longer than ever. He loves wearing shirts, so yes, he had some matting. I paid extra for de-matting and gave very clear instructions: shave the skirt, but keep a full beard along with his chest and paws fluffy. Y'all... when I picked him up, I genuinely did not recognize my own dog. He walked in looking like a miniature schnauzer and walked out looking like a scrappy chihuahua named Peanut. They shaved EVERYTHING. His entire body, his face, even his whiskers. HIS WHISKERS. WTF. I know hair grows back and thankfully it's summer, but I honestly felt bad for him. As someone with longer hair myself, if somebody sat me down and buzzed me to the skin without warning, I'd probably need emotional support and a hoodie for a month. My dog still seems happy and unbothered, but I'm traumatized enough for both of us. After years of loyalty, this was incredibly disappointing and totally unacceptable. We will never come back..

From the first stay, I could tell they actually understand dogs, not just watch them. He came back relaxed, clean, and acting like himself, which says everything. The communication was solid, and I didn't have to chase anyone for updates. Place is clean, staff is friendly, and more importantly, they know what they're doing. I trust them with my dog, and that's not something I say lightly.

Our dogs and cats have come home happy every time. Every experience has been phenomenal. So good, in fact, that I have recommended this place to friends and co-workers (who have also been satisfied). The staff here has always been friendly on my visits. I did have to wait a few minutes when I dropped off my dogs this past week, and that was because they were outside with the dogs. (Not a problem at all!) While I don't doubt that some people have had some not-so-great experiences here, I also know that many of the negative reviews center on cost. This place is not cheap. Neither are any other boarding joints that I am aware of. But I have never worried about their condition while I have been away.

After research on Yelp, I contacted a couple of pet sitters and Ray's response impressed me the most. After meeting with Ray and Tracy in our home, I felt even better about the decision-they were personable and professional and the pups loved them. Their prices are also very reasonable. During our trip, Tracy was the one who visited our pups. She texted updates and pictures every night, which I appreciated. When we got home, the pups were happy and healthy, and everything was right at our place. Ray and Tracy really care about your pets and about doing a good job. The thoughtful nature of the space itself and the incredible staff really set this place apart. They are professional and kind, and all seem to truly care about the dogs and their humans! Additionally, Ozzie has severe food allergy so it has been wonderful being able to trust that the staff at Best Little Dog House will take care of him well and ensure that he doesn't come into contact with anything he shouldn't while he's there. The cage free nature of the boarding setup in particular is welcome as he is not used to sleeping in a kennel and prefers being cuddled up in a blanket with a trusted human nearby. It's such a relief to know that when he is at Best Little Dog House he is having a great time and being well treated. He loses his mind with excitement when we tell him he is getting to "go play!" and always eagerly runs to the front door when he gets out of the car!
