Stopped here on a non game day and enjoyed my experience at Murphy's. The location can't be beat - right across the road from Wrigley's bleachers. They have a great patio that looks right onto the back of the scoreboard. I enjoyed two appetizers on my stop - the mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. Both were unique from the cookie cutter bar options. The sticks were more breaded and crispy. The tenders were meaty and loved the sauces that came with it (mustard and BBQ). Service was great. My only complaint was the price. I don't like credit card surcharges (include it in the price) and $50 bucks for two apps and a couple of beers is a little over what I was hoping to spend. read more

I was stoked to be able to make it to this iconic spot. Great ambiance and vibes in here. I had lunch here on a Friday while in town to catch the Bulls/Warriors game. It was the off-season for baseball so no Wrigley crowds, but still decently busy. We got a table promptly and had beers in front of us with the quickness. We shared some Wings which hit the spot. I had a bowl of Clam Chowder and their Mini Burgers. Both excellent. My friends got the Chicago Dog and Turkey Melt. Both liked their food. Great Menu selection of the usual Sports Bar favorites. Beers were Hazy IPAs and tasted great. Large selection of beer on tap. Service was on point and everything came. out quickly. We ubered out from Downtown to come here. If I lived in Chicago, I'd for sure be a frequent visitor here when it comes to watching anything sports related. I'm from stl, and I'd say this is a mix between mcgurks and paddy o's. I love how it's open and has different bars/ rooms to grab a drink with lots of ample outdoor seating. It would be perfect on a spring day in the sunshine. Already wrote a review but updating because the blonde server with the short hair was extremely rude and we had to flag her down for her to take our order. she also never came to ask if we were doing okay. Not sure what her issue is! Every other time we have come here the male waiters ( both have beards) as well as the brunette with longer hair have been phenomenal and SO kind so don't take fault with the restaurant if you happen to have this same experience! This is my family standard pre Cubs game meet up spot. Nice variety on the beer menu. I am not sour that I can get a sour here. The tots are awesome and even watching a game here is a good night. Pro tip: pick one person in your group to go into the bar to order, make sure they are experienced with ordering at bars and if it's a woman who does not look like the rest of the crowd even better. Basically a dive bar but I found my way to the food where I had a hot dog worthy of the hangover I was sporting from previous day's game and festivities. Stopped into this iconic bar after taking the Wrigley Field Tour. On this occasion the Da Bears were playing. We grabbed a seat in the south bar. For drinks we got draft beer for $7. We also ordered the sliders for an appetizer. Near bar with typical bar food on the menu. We enjoyed our selections. The sound system and TV were ideal for NFL Sunday. Bar seemed dog friendly. All in all, would come back again. They did have a parking lot for patrons. (Located directly across the street). This bar is located on honorary Jim Murphy block. Stumbled upon this place as I was taking a picture at Wrigley Field, when a friendly gentleman standing outside by the name of "Popper" said " You guys look thirsty come on in." How can I resist such an invitation! Went in for a drink and was delighted to find out about the history of the bar itself. Popper and our bartender not only gave us a rundown of the history of the bar but provided wonderful recommendations about Chicago and fantastic conversation. Kelly is a very friendly bartender on the outside skirts of the bar and she's very attentive to her customers and she loves to talk conversation with them. I witnessed the most disturbing and disgusting behavior from a Murphy's staff member. When leaving the Cubs game on Fathers Day with my children by my side we witnessed a security staff member carry a much smaller individual by the neck, all the way across Sheffield to the sidewalk next to Wrigley, then lift the man off the ground and slam him head first onto the pavement, immediately knocking him unconscious at best, and causing long lasting damage at worst. The staff member then simply walked away saying " I had to do it". The security member was much larger than the patron and could have handled this much better rather than risk permanently injuring the man, or worse. Then he showed absolutely no remorse for his actions. What I witnessed was an entirely untrained person who had no idea how to handle an unruly customer. I 100% understand bar patrons can get out of hand and need to be removed, but the level of violence used was nothing short of criminal, and may have left the man with life-long damage. This security guard/bouncer clearly had little to no training or control over himself. The thought that an afternoon at this bar may lead to permanent injury at the hands of a staff member is mind blowing. Almost as much as the complete lack of regard this man showed for the person who he injured. I've been here many times before but will not be returning. I hope Murphy's takes immediate action and accountability for the actions of their staff member, and I hope the man ends up charged with a serious offense. read more

Everyone know Murphy's is the #1 spot in Wrigleyville! We love murphys rather is a casual Sunday afternoon, a busy post-game or even a concert at Wrigley. The food is great and the drinks are always extra good! Their staff is always extremely present and kind. On this particular day, we stopped in on Opening Day while the Cubs were in Texas. The place was VERY clean. And anticipation for a new season was in the air. We'll be back on Monday for the Cubs Home Opener. Super cool spot named for its proximity to the bleacher section of Wrigley field. Multiple bars, two stories, and TONS of space to congregate. It was pretty full on a random, very cold, holiday Friday, so I'm sure it's super hoppin' on a game day. The menu looks great, but I didn't get a chance to sample since I ate right before coming. Multiple bartenders were working with all of them happy to check your status. Of course, Guinness on draft with a plethora of other draft and can selections. I've been here a bunch of times before Cubs games. I'm not sure if that's the issue - it's busy and I have always gotten the impression I was crashing a frat party and inconveniencing the bartender by ordering a beer. Definitely a clique bar. My colleagues like it, but I am far fonder of a bar 1 block west of here with a Q in the name that treats you like a valued customer rather than an inconvenience. I've been coming to Murphy's for YEARS - mostly as a meeting spot for a beer before or after a Cubs game. But only in the last few years have I realized Murphy's is also an awesome neighborhood pub when the Cubs are NOT in town. I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! I've been to Murphy's Bleachers many many times over the years, and it never disappoints. This is a loud, fun, atmosphere. It's a great place to pre-game (and post-game). There are some tables outside; which is a nice option. The inside is mostly standing room. There is lots of great memorabilia on the walls, and if you go to the far back room (past the courtyard), there is a cool replica model of Wrigley Field. The replica is definitely worth making the trek to the back room to see. This is probably my favorite bar in all of Wrigleyville. No trip to the Friendly Confines is complete without stopping for at least one at Murphy's Bleachers! read more

ALL CUB FANS HAVE TO GO HERE! My dad has taken me here since I was little and is a great place to hang out before or after the game. Family friendly and can get crowded but their service is always so fast. I got a soft pretzel there and I loved it, very fluffy and salty. My dad believe they have the best bratwurst which is his game day favorite. The place itself is so neat. For as small as it is, there's a lot of options to sit or stand inside and outside. I did want a veggie burger but they change the menu very frequently they didn't have any. If you're plant based, not a ton of options other than snacking foods. Overall: if you are a parent, I recommend taking your kids here if you want to get a drink and have something for your kids to enjoy. read more
