    Inside Murphys

Murphys is our absolute go-to for an overpriced beer and bratwurst (with sauerkraut) right before heading into the game. Mixed with young college kids and parents wondering how they got roped in, it's a perfect vibe of "everyone is welcome". Service is quick, a deep side patio with doors open to open both the inside and outside. This will always be our first stop when it's Cubs game day!

How do you not love Murphy's on a cubs game day??? Packed, lively, hopeful. It's the best place to be pre-cubs game. Plenty of standing room and a decent amount of tables as well! Regular prices for the area. Don't miss out on the history of Murphy's

A neighborhood institution, what better way to enjoy a beer (or...more) with a few friends than hanging out at Murphy's in the shadow of the Friendly Confines. Always a good hang before, during, or after a game, you're bound to strike up at least a few conversations with absolute strangers all afternoon. Kelly, one of the longtime bartenders, is great too - treated my wife and I like we've known her for years and kept an ongoing conversation going throughout the afternoon.

Our 1st visit to Wrigleyville, Wrigley Field, and Murphy's. I have to say I love this place! The energy is amazing. The slingers were on their game. We went there a few times in our short visit and the place is huge. I like the replica Wrigley Field and baseball decor. I had to buy a sweatshirt.

This is my family standard pre Cubs game meet up spot. Nice variety on the beer menu. I am not sour that I can get a sour here. The tots are awesome and even watching a game here is a good night. Pro tip: pick one person in your group to go into the bar to order, make sure they are experienced with ordering at bars and if it's a woman who does not look like the rest of the crowd even better. I always get served immediately here. And tip well these guys work hard!

A bar right across the street from the stadium. There is seating outside and inside. They were very very busy, but was able to get drinks pretty quickly. Prices are average for the area and the staff was kind.

In town for Orioles-Cubs game and met local friends here before game. They were actually sitting in bleachers that day. Not me. lol. Huge place w combo of indoor and outdoor space. Basically a dive bar but I found my way to the food where I had a hot dog worthy of the hangover I was sporting from previous day's game and festivities. Nice spot but got very crowded do we moved on to favorite place on other side of Wrigley.

Stopped into this iconic bar after taking the Wrigley Field Tour. On this occasion the Da Bears were playing. We grabbed a seat in the south bar. For drinks we got draft beer for $7. We also ordered the sliders for an appetizer. Near bar with typical bar food on the menu. We enjoyed our selections. The sound system and TV were ideal for NFL Sunday. Bar seemed dog friendly. All in all, would come back again. They did have a parking lot for patrons. (Located directly across the street). This bar is located on honorary Jim Murphy block. Would be a fun spot to catch Cubs game during the season.

Stopped in while visiting Wrigley, GREAT place! Service was amazing, and food was on point. Loved the Cubs decor, and so glad I stopped in. If you are in the area, worth stopping in.

Stumbled upon this place as I was taking a picture at Wrigley Field, when a friendly gentleman standing outside by the name of "Popper" said " You guys look thirsty come on in." How can I resist such an invitation! Went in for a drink and was delighted to find out about the history of the bar itself. Popper and our bartender not only gave us a rundown of the history of the bar but provided wonderful recommendations about Chicago and fantastic conversation. The bar itself is rich with history not only about the Chicago Cubs but the city itself dating back over 100 years. Lots of TV's, great ambiance, pet friendly, spacious bar and most important located across from Wrigley Field!

This was a good place to go after touring Wrigley Field. We had sliders and they were decent. I can see myself returning after a game. Just know that it gets crowded , like really crowded.

It was so hot and no A/C but the experience was worth it. So much fun even though we were not Cubs fans!

Great place to grab a drink. Prices are fair and it's close to the ball field for ease.

The espresso martini was good, they have cocktail and both non-local and local beer options. The food looked really good but we didn't get any when we went. There are TVs all over. The patio is a great place to sit in the nice weather, and a grassy area to hang out, have kids play, or bring your dog(s). The bathroom was super cool, the back wall was a whole row of windows looking over the street and all the bars. Had a fun Nashville vibe!

The food comes out faster than a CTA bus not stopping for you, and it absolutely slaps. The wings are crispy enough to make a grown Chicagoan emotional, if you love great food and haven't stopped by, then you are missing out. Every TV has a game on, every beer is ice cold, and the vibes are aggressively Chicago -- loud, friendly, slightly unhinged, but in a "we're all in this together" way.
