    Old style draft

$6 old style draft. Not far from Wrigley. Perfectly serviceable pit stop if you need something cold. Fine patio.

First night in town and we stopped in here for drinks while we were exploring the neighborhood. Busy place but they quickly cleaned a table for us. Full bar so you can order whatever you want. Local beers available and friendly service. What else can you ask for in a local neighborhood bar?

    Great beer for fall!

Great bar for cheap drinks with friend. Came here before a Cubs game, they had great drink specials. Bucket of craft beer only $15 (6 beers) or domestic for $13. The staff was very friendly. They also, have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. This will be a great bar to come and watch sport games. Is a place I will for sure come back to before a Cubs game.

What a classic Chicago dive bar. Full of great characters, comedians and various nut cases. The place is inexpensive. A great place to stop in before or after a Cubs game. Conveniently located almost next to the CTA Red Line. The Old Style sign out front makes this place a classic. This is an old school bar. This is no fern bar or hipster hangout. Do not even think about food being served here. Have your hot dogs at the ballgame. Pub Grub here is bringing your peanuts from Wrigley Field.

Justus, the band that plays every weekend

I'm here literally every weekend, which means that a) I know a lot about this bar and the people who frequent it and b) I'm probably a bit biased because I've become a (27 year old) regular. Definitely dive bar, but not hipster dive bar. When you think of "regulars" at a bar, the folks that'll show up here are who you're thinking of. It's $8 pitchers except when the band is playing and then they're $10, which isn't necessarily uber-cheap, but considering the neighborhood it's pretty decent. The staff are all no B.S. kinda people but if you're friendly to them they'll return the favor. Since the smoking ban the inside's become a lot more pleasant a place. Customers range from post Cubs game drunkards to semi-hipsters to off-the-street looking folk to upper middle agers to regular Buena Parkers. When the band plays on the weekend, pretty much everyone seems to be having a good time. Lots of dancing, drinking and pool playing. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually a lot of women that show up at this bar, and some are quite easy on the eyes, but there really are no stalls in the women's bathroom (there is in the men's.... which ... makes... sense), so be prepared to stand in line. Again, I'm biased, but I actually really recommend this place if you like to go where people are down to earth, straight up out for drinking and having a good time. The band is pretty damn good, but even on weekdays it's a nice and quite place to go and watch the game and have a beer (on tap there's Bud Lite and MGD but they have quite a few microbrew/import bottles).

    get comfy ladies!

Whaddya want Miller lite, Bud lite or Old Style? PBR? Well fine, but it's coming in a bottle and it's gonna be skunky ya punk. I'm pretty sure the people that come here have been doing so for about 35 years. The juke box was good though. B52s, Johnny Cash, and probably some Allman Brothers. When I showed my friend the picture of the women's bathroom, with 2 toilets next to one another, I was acting all incredulous about it. He suggested they didn't get much female clientle. Quite right.

We were sat quickly, but service was pretty slow. They have QR codes on the tables for ordering and paying, so that's helpful when it's so busy. It was incredibly loud inside, so be prepared for that. There's an upper level but it was closed when we went (3/21/26). The espresso martini was good, they have cocktail and both non-local and local beer options. The food looked really good but we didn't get any when we went. There are TVs all over. The patio is a great place to sit in the nice weather, and a grassy area to hang out, have kids play, or bring your dog(s). The bathroom was super cool, the back wall was a whole row of windows looking over the street and all the bars. Had a fun Nashville vibe!

We came in around 1:15am, thinking this would be a cool bar to end the night. The first bartender informed us that last call was approaching. We only wanted one round, so we immediately closed out after ordering. That bartender was very attentive and pleasant during the entire transaction. At 1:50am, the other bartender (who wasn't even serving us/hadn't spoke to us) came over and said we needed to start chugging. Her words: "I'm not going to tell you to get the f* out, but you need to chug". She kept telling us we needed to chug, and I kindly told her I wasn't chugging anything because we already paid and I can literally just leave. She brought up the bar closing soon (we already heard the very loud announcement for last call). She proceeded to blame it on having a bad day. Mind you, someone next to me literally just came in, and was being served. She tried to back out of it and kept repeating we'll know when it's time to go. I'm not sure what kind of establishment this is, but she didn't say anything to anyone else but us, the only two Black women at the bar at the time. I don't understand why she felt like it was okay to direct her "bad day" at us, sitting there calmly with two half drunken beers, while there were plenty of other people still up and active at the bar. The behavior displayed, completely unacceptable.
