Vibes are a ten. Pizza is a 7.3. We went in on a rainy day in Wrigleyville. We were welcomed with warmth which is what we needed on a day like that. We got two pies, the Italian beef and the dill pickle. I love the creative toppings. This is tavern style pizza. That means it's baked twice. Once for the dough, once for the toppings. That can lead to a dryer crust which is pretty typical for the style. It's crispy and the topping ratio really matters. This place hit. The dough was super crispy and the toppings mad up about 2/3rds of the bite. The Italian beef was really good, the pickle was alright. The sauce seemed broken and mealy. My wife and I got a burger with curly fries and have some of the worst stomach cramps ever. Could've just gotten unlucky, but the fries tasted like the oil was very old. Burger was fine but not worth the price. Also, their daily specials change if the Cubs are playing and their website doesn't address that at all. So maybe call ahead and confirm with the host that their specials are actually real. read more

Great bar food, probably the best but I was either overcharged or the prices are way too high (the reason for only 3 stars) Ordered a double cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries in-person and the price came out to be $24. Almost Home is just a bit farther from Wrigley Field than many of the other locals bars, but it's totally worth the short walk! The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, and drink menu is vast. This place is just solid. It's close to Wrigley, prices are fair, the food is good, and the service has always been stellar. My first time I was here, my friend and I were the only two people and we ordered burgers, the fry medley, and the pretzel logs. All were very good but Curly fries is much butter then regular fries, so I'd skip the medley and just go for the curly fries. I just was here Tuesday night with a very similar experience. Perfect buffalo sauce and cauliflower that you could swear was chicken if you didn't know any better. - Fry Medley! Yo, straight up. I wanted crinkle fries and my wife wanted curly fries. This solved an issue and the portions were MASSIVE. - MASSIVE portions. One of my biggest pet peeves is walking out of a restaurant not full. Not going to be an issue here. - Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. Our server recommended a Banana Peanut Butter shot for $5. She didn't steer us wrong. - Daily specials were great. Cons: - N/A This is a must go for a Cubs game. There's something for everyone and I'm glad we changed here at the last minute. For a Saturday night, they have plenty of sports on the tv's and it seems to be open seating. The music is pretty loud and we had trouble getting a waiter for a little while, but once she came, she was super attentive. We had a few questions about the wing sauces, and she recommended the Good Good for the wings. Amazing by the way! Our double smash burger and frisky melt were amazing, and the black garlic mayo was incredible. This is a relatively new spot in Wrigley and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. There's plenty of indoor seating, and floor to ceiling windows that open up during the summer - there's a thousand TVs which makes watching games super easy. The service is always phenomenal and there's even darts and a pool table if games are more your thing. As far as the food goes, the menu is what you'd expect for a sports bar. The chicken sandwich is my favorite so far, although for $12 it is on the smaller side (and it does NOT come with fries). Overall, it's a tad more expensive than it should be but the atmosphere keeps us coming back (definitely keep an eye out for the bar trivia. read more

Came here for the NFL playoff games because their Instagram said that beer pitchers were $20 and wings were $10. Turns out those specials were outdated and the pitchers were $24 and wings were $15. We didn't learn this until we got the bill and we ordered a lot. Everything else was great but was pretty frustrating to find out our bill was a lot higher than we anticipated. This rating is based on a couple of different visits over the past month. The first visit was excellent. I had the Mini Bacon Rolls and soft baked pretzels. Both were very good. The bartender was attentive and the overall experience was somewhere between 4-5 stars. Today, I wanted to try their Mac & Cheese pizza. I picked it up as a to go order. While the toppings were decent and somewhat flavorful, the crust was probably the worst I've ever had (and I'm in my 50s, so that's a lot of pizzas). It may as well have been actual cardboard. I took video of me attempting to break the crust and it would not bend at all. The person on the phone that took the order (John) was nice enough and the bartender who I picked up the order from was once again attentive and kind. Even with the people involved being attentive and kind, giving this experience 1 star would be generous because the pizza was so bad. My overall rating from the two visits combined is 3 stars. I do like the vibe of the place overall and will probably give it another try, but I'd be hard-pressed to try the pizza again after this last experience. read more

Our favorite new spot! The staff are always friendly, the food and drinks are great, and they have enough TVs to show all the games. The wings are incredible, some of the best in the city. I would recommend getting them naked with the sauce on the side - the rub they use is good enough to eat plain! The burger is also a favorite, I get it almost every time I come here.
