I recently used Priority Title as the closing agent on my new home in Salem, NH. They were…read morefantastic throughout the process, and very responsive to my emails and calls. There were no real estate agents involved- it was a for sale by owner directly to me- which probably meant more work for them. Also, due to an old lien that had to be tracked down, closing came down to the wire. However, Priority was very patient with me despite my anxiety and allyed all my worries. Also our closing agent was a super nice person and so helpful (and funny!) at explaining all the rules and regulations. Highly recommended!

My closing with Priority Tile was anything BUT a priority to them. As the seller, I never received…read moreany paperwork for closing until we were there. While at closing, I was the only one at the table who had never seen the information. The owner of Priority Title was at my closing and when I said to him I never received this information in advance, he said, "Oh I will have someone send it to you right now." Great a lot of good that did me! My closing was at 9:30am and as of 5pm that night I still had not received an email from Priority Tile. I called and left a message on two different voicemail boxes including the owner asking for an electronic copy of the paperwork and I still never received it now over a week later. I also never received a return phone call from this business. I certainly would never hire them. In my opinion, they were very unprofessional and I would think twice before you hire them.

He came out promptly and provided a quote for replacing old worn pine flooring with new cherry hardwood in one room and refinishing the pine flooring in another room. He provide a fair reasonable quote. Sean and Nick performed the work beautifully, professionally and cleaned up. The floors came out amazingly. Will definitely hire him again for new floors in other rooms.

Unfortunately the work and effort did not meet expectations. From all the dealings with the owner…read moreI was led to believe I was hiring the owner and his company/employee(s) to complete my work. After the flooring was delivered and carpeting was taken out he never showed up. He said he had phone calls and photos to keep track. The person doing the work I was informed was a 'jobber' or contractor; they did not work for the company. For such an expensive job, if the company wasn't doing the work I'd expect regular 'inspections' in person as a photo can be misleading. When the work was completed all I heard was they wanted immediate payment (no final inspection) and after seeing the final work I understood because the work was done but not to the contract and not to what I would call 'reasonable' standards. I did see the work in progress not being done as agreed, but where the owner wasn't there and the way the work was underway in a less than desirable way (and ripping it out made less sense), I didn't complain or stop the work to the contractor as I'm sure the person I was paying would have charged me again to start over. Now I have to 'fix' parts that are just not right. One specific area to highlight is the actual flooring. The owner came to the house and measured it with a laser. I know when doing the work you don't want to run out and have to stop, but he bought a significant amount in excess (two full boxes plus many additional feet) that I had to pay for (and I expect overhead) and now have flooring I don't need. If he truly knows his work I'd expect a much closer estimate or he buys back extra full boxes to show good will (based on his apparent poor estimation). He also got wood with the wrong finish. He said he'd return it but that would have made a significant delay. I guess to try to justify the mistake (it's a drastic difference between the floors), he said what he bought was better. I was not there when all the work was being done, (I was in and out roughly half the days) but don't think the homeowner should have to oversee the job to ensure it meets the contract or expected quality. One specific item I'll point out; the company's correspondence normally has a statement "Our superior quality and customer satisfaction is guaranteed!". I was not satisfied for most aspects and I definitely don't feel the work was superior quality, at best average. When I pointed out that the work didn't follow what was put in writing he came back with what I would call excuses but to me they were backward and illogical, either way, I was not satisfied and he expected payment for work not done to what he put in writing. Again, how can he 'argue' when he never set foot at the work location during any of the actual work or after completion. These are my experiences and thoughts. I was asked to provide his name to a friend in the area but will not. When working with the government years ago, I would have rated this 'Do not recommend.'.

I waited before writing this review to make sure I could articulate honest feedback. In the end I…read moresettled on 3 stars because the work ended up being average. While any projects have ups and downs Dave was great to work with but some of the details work was sub par in the end. From the beginning communication was excellent. Pricing was reasonable, not the highest or lowest bid we received but within out budget and with some flexibility as there seemed to be a general interest in the job to expand and tile our shower. The general demo/construction process went well. When we opted to expand the scope of the project and also do the floor we received a fair price and the work commenced. The issue ultimately lies in the detail and finish work. While most of the project went smooth the details are what can make or break an expensive remodel and is why we opted to pay for the job vs DIY. The ceiling patch work was less than ideal. When asked about it Dave was happy to attempt to fix it which was great. Unfortunately, the end result wasn't much better and not something I felt asking to fix again would remedy. Now it's apparent the subsequent patch work only received paint, not primer and we are seeing water absorption when showering. Additionally the painting was sub par as it ended up I. Our grout as well. As for the tile, we opted to get it on our own from a local high end shop. Again Dave was flexible with this and even when the timline got altered he wofked with us. Despite having an abundance of extra tiles though, a number of chipped tiles were put up and we were told this was not his issue since he didn't purchase the tiles. That may very well be the case but if the attention to not put up chipped tiles is missing it leaves a very average looking job. In the end we asked to have a couple of minor details cleaned up..and Dave agreed. Before we could set a date to wrap this up I noticed additional chipped tiles, a closer door that doesn't shut right, sloppy grout lines, and tile work that was less than ideal (per our glass door installer) along with a couple of other issues. As a result I opted to not even schedule a follow up and will instead address these things on my own with greater detail. I settled on 3 stars because this was an average job. Dave was a great guy with a willingness to work but in the end the finish work was no better than a weekend DIY'er.
