I can't wait to go back and try the mushroom risotto and French onion soup in the winter.

The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and made us feel like old friends. I would highly recommend checking this place out next time you head up to the slopes at Sunday River. I went there with a group of 4 of us and every dish was excellent and reasonably priced. I ordered a Caesar Salad and the Brick Chicken. The salad was very well prepared and had a very light Caesar dressing that picked up the flavor from the lemon garnish and bite-sized garlic toast croutons. The Brick Chicken was a perfectly prepared and succulent piece of chicken with crispy skin that was served on a bed of rice with lime and orange garnishes. The other dish I tasted was the Vegetable en croute, which was an eastern European style vegetable dish with a phyllo dough crust. This dish was good, but not great. I would go with the brick chicken if you are deciding between the two options. However, you won't be going wrong with either choice. My other friends ordered the Pork Osso Bucco and the Steak frites and had great things to say about both of these dishes as well. If you are looking for a more upbeat ambiance you can find that downstairs in the suds pub. This place looked really fun and has live music. It also worth noting that you can order the pub food in the bistro as well if you are looking for that type of fare in a mellower ambiance. We also ate at the Black Diamond Steakhouse while we were in town. Everyone agreed that Bistro 151 is a superior restaurant all around from a both a service and food perspective.

The chef was willing to work with my food allergies and replaced pasta with risotto in the shrimp and scallop scampi. The J Morgan Burger was also tasty. On March 21, we had a reservation, but when we arrived, no one addressed us for about 20 minutes. When we finally spoke to the "hostess", she mentioned that we were assigned a table "out back," which sounded unappealing (though it turned out to be fine). She then informed us that it was really busy and "it could be a while". I said back to her "well, that's a bad start", she said "I know". The whole restaurant had a strong fishy smell, which shouldn't happen with fresh seafood. No one came over to greet us until we decided to go to the bar to find a server. It was the same server who was attending to the table next to us, and she only acknowledged us after we spoke up. She didn't take our drink orders or offer us water. After we finally ordered drinks, we waited 20 minutes only to discover our drinks sitting at the bar--our martinis had already become warm. As for the food, the Rib Eye steak was perfect, but the Shrimp and Scallop Scampi was terrible, and the other pasta dishes with lobster were just okay. Overall, it was a disappointing experience with mediocre food and inattentive staff. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Second night we booked a reservation online and again was seamless. We were impressed by how clean everything was and how comfortable the dining room is, even with the number of people in it. Dinner both nights was absolutely fantastic. Truly, everyone had a great meal. The absolute favorites were the pork chops, ribs, wings and steak tips. Don't skip out on the corn on the cob or the baked potato. Who knew those sides could be something you would want again and again?! We will definitely be back and so happy we found the Red Fox Bar & Grille!

Service was slow, there didn't seem to be enough staff as was the case everywhere we went in the No. Conway area over the 4 days we were up there. My husband ordered the fish sandwich and got the chicken sandwich (with tarter sauce). It took about 20 minutes for our waiter to return to check on us, at which time the problem was corrected quickly. Everybody else was pretty much done eating while my husband tried to quickly eat his meal. The rest of the food everybody ordered was good, the grandchildren were happy with their kids meals. Drinks were good, but again it took a long time for them to arrive. There just doesn't seem to be enough help in any of the food service establishments up there. Wait staff were running ragged everywhere we went. I don't blame the workers or the establishments, it's just a commentary on how much help there is available. If you go, just pack your patience and don't wait until anybody is hangry!!
