The management, staff, and facilities really make this place feel like home. Solomon always takes care of us and keeps an eye out from the big things to the little things. Charlie is always around for help if need and the maintenance guys always are so fast help like Carlos and the team. Not to mention it's always so clean throughout the building from the halls to trash. Really fortunate to have found a great place to live. Only one downside is that it does get really chilly in the Winter from the insulation. But you can't have everything perfect. Overall, can't complain about it when you got a great staff making you feel like you're home. read more

My wife and I have been living in this building for 5 years as an original tenant. The staff is amazing and responsive. Now we are moving out due to a growing family. The management service Realty Operations is terrible and knowingly breaking the law by charging us backed electricity bills. They are blaming the error on the vendor and now updated us they will be removing the payments from our security deposit upon moving out. Would not recommend signing a lease with any building this management company runs in New York. read more

First, the doormen and handymen are the most wonderful and friendly people I have met. The actual building is very clean and kept up well. However, leasing and management for this apartment is the worst I have dealt with in the entire city. They have been extremely rude, ignore emails and calls, I have been screamed at for miscommunication over paperwork. I had to ask to work with a different leasing manager as the previous one was beyond unprofessional. Getting the security deposit back has been a nightmare. I work in customer service and would be fired if I talked to my clients with this much attitude and spite. read more

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the adjacent units. I even put up soundproofing foam on my walls from Amazon which helps muffle the adjacent tenants, but it is still the number one issue I have with my apartment here. There is a "public/private park" between the building and the church where homeless people congregate/live/do drugs at night. The amenities are also all located in the basement (no windows). The maintenance response and doormen are great though. When my apartment flooded due to the sprinklers going off three floors above me it was fixed within a week. read more

I honestly don't know where the good reviews are coming from... I currently live here and I can literally hear my neighbors turning on their dishwasher (and they love taking dishes out of it at 4am in the morning). Whenever they open or close their kitchen cabinet it's like a loud bang on the wall. If you have to live here I suggest you stay away from apartments ending in 4 because your bed will be right next to your neighbor's kitchen. I read all the good reviews on google and here, which was why I decided to move here. But now I can't wait to move out. read more

Moving to the Murray Hill Marquis was very exciting, little did I know what was going to happen. Once I moved I didn't get an electric bill for 2 months. I reached out to the super on premise. He gave me two names to contact and he also wrote any email and cc'd me asking to contact me. After not hearing from anyone, I called and left massages and wrote emails but NO ONE got back to me. I contacted the super again who again reached out to them but again we were both ignored. . I understand by what you told her that my security is going to be held and until any electric charges owed are paid?? I tried to contact them again by email and calls to both Vasell and DiGivoanni but to NO AVAIL. I also had various conversations with the super regarding the lack of response from to my calls from this Unitilities company named AMPS hired as a collector for the building. After being ignored, we got a bill AFTER ALMOST 1 year later for over 100, back date. Letting us know that they were sorry but now they were going to start BACK BILLING ME UNITL I HAD PAID in full my account. I requested to know the start meter reading and asked how in the world could the usage be so high when the apt was empty ALL DAY. But they did not have an answer. Did could not even show my prove of what the meter read when I moved in. Where are they getting these usage number? This is outgerous that now the building wants to hold my security when to my knowledge it is suppose to by used for the purpose of any damages to the apt. We left that apt in mint condition and took pictures and have a witness. This is not right. I am going to reach out to the Public Unitilities Commissioner. Since all my efforts were ignored. read more

Home is wherever I am with you. Murry Hill Marquis is my first apartment. I love everything about here. The people, the culture, the facilities make everything home. First of all, the leasing office is amazing, Manager Megan and the staff helped me so much in making the decision. Before I put my signatures on my leasing agreement, I checked out the apartment for more than three times either by myself or with my friend. I did my homework and checked every single detail I could to make sure that nothing was wrong. Every time I visited, the leasing office was patient and answered me every single question with no hassle. In fact, they worked with me to design my leasing agreement according to my school schedule and offered the best choice for me. When I moved in, five people stood in front of my apartment to welcome me inducing the cleaning team, the tech guy, the concierge and a representative from the leasing office. They helped me carry my luggage and made sure everything in my brand new apartment function well and clean. In my apartment, they prepared gears like an umbrella, a notebook, and a tote bag, key rings, and bottles. In a card said they "welcome home!" Despite the fact that I didn't have any furniture at that time, the feeling of home is EVERYTHING. That is the moment that both my mind and my body both tell me " Now I've got my OWN space" After I moved in, the concierges became my homies (at least I think so). Every day, they greet me with true smiles. They remember my name. In the morning, they tell me "Hi, Dan, have a nice day!" When I have a long day and come back home late, they are always there to say "welcome home." Whenever I need any help at home which is rarely the case, within 8 minutes, they will be at my door. Until I moved to New York City on September 5, 2017, from Los Angeles, I had been living in Pacific Palisades, CA with my friend. Big house, big sun, ocean view. It was a nightmare to move to New York especially speaking of room haunting. In the first two months of settling down in New York, I moved 4 times. I have learned and gained so much experience over the course. Murry Hill Marquis has four advantages that I think that are the essential factors when anyone ever tries to spot the perfect place in New York: Safety, Location, Noise level, Quality of life. Safety Safety always comes the first!! I have lived in Bronx, Brooklyn, and Up West side of Manhattan before. I have seen people who tried to jump out of a moving train etc. MHM has the best and safest location. When it's late night on the N Y subway, things can get really sketchy. The best part of living in Midtown is that you can see people no matter how late it is. I study at 116 Broadway; the 1,2,3, trains going down to midtown are so far the safest. When I arrive at 34th Street, Pen Station, I would always exit through the Pen Station since the metro station and the train station are interconnected and I can take the escalator(Yes, I am lazy). There are cops on duty 24/7. While I am waiting for cross town bus M 34 to get to the east side, I always wait near the entrance of the Pen Station, where I have cops right in front me. I feel safe. Having someone watching the door was such a blessing in NY. Never had I realized that when I was living in LA. But having a responsible person who can take care of my mail and new and return packages makes my life so much easy. I don't have to worry about packages being stolen nor having random people coming in and out in the building. People who work at the front desk are seriously one of the best kinds. Concierge Carlos, Solomon, Rudy, and I don't remember the others' names are extremely responsible, accountable and trustworthy. I believed Carlos was a retired policeman. As a tenant, I see the way they handle things and I trust them. Location Safety comes together with location. But here the location is not only about safety. MHM has the best location, it's very convenient to get around. You have Pharmacy Diana Reade Store open 24/7 across the street. Murry Hills Market Deli and Dunkin Donuts are just next doors. Trader Joe's is five minutes' walk away. If you are broke there is a 99 cent pizza store within 2 minutes' walk, and their pizza is very good, just saying. Postal Office and UPS are one block away. I have limited time to illustrate all the good things about the location. Oh, there is also cheap and good Chinese massage place down the block called Passion Body Work. Their foot spa is 25 dollars an hour, and their body spa is 39 for an hour. Life is hard in NYC but Murray Hill Marquis made it easy and enjoyable for me. Noise, I am very picky about the environment and the noise. I can't bear nuisance when I am at home chilling. The first day when I arrived NY, I lived in 1333 Broadway. For my first night, I was awake for the whole time because the metro 1 goes unground there and the noise of the metro was so so so bad. After read more

Terrible luxury apartment. As this building used to be a Hotel before remodeling into an Apartment building, the walls are extremely thin. You can literally hear people having sex from other units while you are sleeping in your unit. Banging on the wall, etc. I was one of the first tenants to live here when the luxury apartment opened up. After I left, they used approx 50% of my security deposit money to pay for repainting of the walls , plaster work for TV that was mounted, and cleaning! Who deducts money for mopping floors after a tenant leaves? And the amenities are never 100% functional. The only good thing about this building is the security guys at the lobby. There are so many luxury apartments in Murray Hill.. My advice is to avoid this building. read more
