The lady became overwhelmed by the line and skipped me. She started serving the people behind me. Everyone in line got a sample except for me. I guess she didn't like me. My husband was mad that I wasn't ready to check out and I was mad I wasn't served yet. I had to speak up to have her help me and after this entire fiasco I ended up with the wrong fudge. read more

If only I could leave a negative star. Absolutely awful. Room is 9x10. Queen bed actually lifts off the floor if I sit on the side. Mattress is definitely from the 50's. Closet is a rod stuck in the corner of the room. Bathroom is so small you can't turn around so they stuck the sink on the wall in the room. And they think it's appropriate to charge Hilton Grand rates! Go ANY place else on the island! read more

We tried all five brands of fudge open on Mackinac Island at the start of the 2022 season. Murray's Hotel Fudge was the only fudge shop that didn't make the fudge where they sold it, so you didn't have the benefit of the fudgy smells. We found that Murray's fudge had great flavors but were mildly to very grainy. read more

An associate at one of the clothing stores on Main street, Nikisha, recommended the fudge at Murray's. She said it was the creamiest. We ordered 4 kinds - 1/2 a square of each kind. In total it was $20. We ordered Smores, Heath, pecan, and caramel macchiato. Nikisha was right... Creamy goodness. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It was all good till I showered and the tub backed up and I had to stand in the dirty water. The town was pretty quiet at night, but the hotel guest above our room (on the 3rd floor) walked around till nearly 3:30am (when I finally fell asleep) with very heavy steps. Wtf are you doing up there man?! Just walking back and forth? Maybe it was not a guest ? Maybe it was the hotel kitchen? We tried a couple of free samples of fudge from the super friendly staff member outside and decided to buy some inside... but we could not separate the two magpies from gossiping long enough to notice us. Yes my husband spoke up and made our request for some fudge. One of the two women seemed like she heard us and her body sort of moved towards us, but her coworker's story must have been too interesting cuz she just couldn't pull herself away. Best fudge on the island and that's saying something! I highly recommend sampling even if you know what you want, the samples are as good as the real thing. Service was outstanding even with the crowd. Lots to look at while you're waiting. It definitely has an interesting ambiance; I think I'd like to try to stay here next time we go to the island. I'd love to be able to be wrapped in the smell of great fudge for my entire visit! I parked my bike on the street with everyone else and didn't have any trouble. Did not stay at this hotel but I tried their fudge...creamy and sweet. Staff were friendly especially when they are selling home made fudge for $15++ a pound. No regrets buying. Less line / crowd. Good packaging. Yummy fudge!!! read more

Cannot compliment this place enough. Best fudge on the planet, much less the island. They aren't afraid to sample because they know. So smooth and creamy. You hear about some of the other big name fudge makers, but make no mistake, they are all fighting for second place. It's a shame I can't give them more than 5 stars. read more
