This was exactly the type of eye care experience I've been looking for! From the moment I walked in, everyone was extremely nice, friendly, and easy-going. The process was quick, and I felt valued the entire time! Dr. Cook was professional, relatable, and very knowledgeable. I loved how she explained what was coming next in the exam, what it tests for, and even told me how I did as we went along. My least favorite part of any eye appt- picking out glasses. 1- because I feel like I can't make up my mind, and 2, because I feel awkward going back and forth between a few and just feel like I'd love someone's opinion to help me eliminate them faster (and usually, everyone is busy helping someone else). But not here! Holly was amazing and offered right off the bat if I wanted to have her grab some diff frames for me to try and asked if I wanted her help picking along the way (100%!! This is all I ever want)! Then, helped me quickly eliminate from there. I never felt pressured to go for a spendy brand, it was all about what would work best for me and my preferences, and she did a really quick and efficient way of eliminating down to a few. I felt like I got her honest opinion, and I tended to agree with what she was saying. When I struggled between two, she helped me easily pick from there, and made this a really positive experience. Plus, they had a bunch of very cute options. More so than I've seen elsewhere! I also really liked that everyone had name tags. Not something I thought I would care about, but it just felt more personable, especially during COVID. It also seemed like everyone who worked there got along great with each other. Like it was a very harmonious work environment. I would *highly* recommend coming here. You will leave feeling more knowledgeable, efficient, and like you made a positive difference for your future self. P.s- I know some people don't want someone to help them choose their glasses along the way, but the way I was asked was casual and genuine. Amazing doesn't quite do this place justice. I called on an emergency eye situation and they got me in same day. From the moment I walked in, it was exceptional customer service. The doctor came in and had already been briefed on my situation. Was very thorough during the exam and what was happening to my eye. He diagnosed it quickly and came up with an action plan to ensure I was on a road to recovery and better vision. I was so amazed by the level of care for patients, if I lived here, Dr. Luce would for sure be my optometrist and MurrayHill Eye Care would be my go to place forever. Thank you!!!! read more

Love Dr. Greg. He was attentive and patient. I have had some eye issues and surgeries in the past and he was caring and actually listened. He made me feel like I wasn't alone when my eye condition is quite common. I love the judge free zone! I have to go back soon to get more contacts and am actually looking forward to it. I never look forward to the eye doc. He also didn't try to upsell me on my glasses knowing that my rx didnt change much, he suggested i save my money, that never happens! I had my first ever eye doctor visit here a day or two ago. The front desk ladies were all super nice and helpful, they walked me through each initial test/eye picture/exam they did, and also took their time when it came down to picking out my frames at the end of the appointment. The doctor I saw was also extremely nice and helpful. She explained everything to me in a manner I could understand and answered all my questions to the fullest extent. Really glad this was where I had my first eye doctor experience, they made it a very easy and bearable process. read more

Took my teenage daughter here to find some new glasses. She was treated respectfully and had a huge selection to choose from. Her technician spent a lot of time with her finding the perfect frames. Had a small issue with film on lenses 3 months later but they handled it efficiently and very professionally. Definitely recommend this business! read more

we have been thrilled with the service and the team! my son needed some eye help for first time. Dr Cook has been kind, accommodating and she is very knowledgeable. The whole staff is that way. Every appt they have been ready for us early and we've not had to wait. We even had a little snaffu where my son did not wear his contacts ahead of time as instructed. The doctors are great. I have seen both doctor Luce and doctor Wolfe multiple times. I have photophobia which took years to find a solution for (color tinted glasses) but they have been caring and really went the mile to try and help my solve my problem. Have had some frustrations with the front desk in the past but not in recent years. I'm a loyal patient for about 5 years, now. read more

We brought my 14 month old daughter here to see Dr Luce. I had been noticing some intermittent misalignment of her eyes and was very anxious to find out what the problem was and to start doing something to fix it. The staff are so friendly and I was immediately put at ease. Dr Luce is amazing! He's so thorough and you can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients. We were amazed at how he was able to look at my daughter's eyes and figure out an accurate prescription. She never even knew she was being examined! He also explained exactly what was wrong and why. They not only provided me with glasses I love, one for daily use and one set for computer work, they also have been there to replace and repair when my sweet 'Sir Lancelot - giant breed Borzoi' got ahold of one pair. I have been going here for many years, and my whole family does also. I have used many providers over the years, and these are the best hands down. They use state of the art equipment and procedures. I have seen all doctors, and they are friendly, very knowledgeable and really care about their patients.When my children have their checkups they always take the time to explain everything to them. I have had some problems over the years with my eyes and they are always quick to detect them and address the issue promptly. Best professional eyecare service you will ever receive. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a cheerful staff and the waiting area, glass cases and displays are pristine. They will after all be looking at your eyes and this first impression is invaluable. I have had my eyes examined by Dr. Greg Luce, Dr. Diane Robbins-Luce and by Dr. Rita in the years I have been using their practice. They have maintained state of the art equipment and provide a number of tests for the examination. Each will explain why the test was given and what it shows. To me this is critical because early detection of problems with your eyes is the reason I go there. You can get glasses anywhere but the heart of their service is their exam. Dr. Greg and Dr. Diane have taught at the optometry medical school for a number of years and have always been leaders in their profession offering the highest standards of eyecare. On my last visit Dr. Diane discovered a cataract on my right eye resulting from my exam. She then assisted in explaining what was involved in cataract surgery and had a recommendation for a practice to provide the service. I found out that I would also have the surgery done that would eneable me to no longer need contacts for my right eye. The clinic she recommended comes highly recommended and her practive and theirs have had wonderful outcomes over the years. I left her office with a lot of confidence for my upcoming surgery. She took the time to explain what would be happening, the time line and what I could expect. I didn't feel rushed and the procedure was fully explained. There is a difference between price and value. I have used the practice for the last twenty years because my family and i receive value at this practice. I could go anywhere for my eyecare but I stay with this practice because they are the best in the area. I read the other review and thought it was comical. Why someone would use the best practice in the area and then get a cheap pair of glasses from a discounter is beyond. I like Costco, I buy at Costco. but I would never get my eye services nd glasses at Costco. My eyecare is too important and I will always use the best. . read more

I love coming here. I have been going to the office a couple years now and every time I call or come in the front desk is always friendly and amazing. Dr Cook is such an amazing doctor! She really cares about her patients and is good about suggesting new things that may help your eyes. (i.e. drops, solutions etc.) They are even good with kids. My son had to come in with me one time and they were really accommodating and even "checked" his little eyes to make him feel special at the doctor too. I really liked Murrayhill Eye Care and Dr. Cook. She worked hard with me to find a good solution. It didn't seem right to me,but I had resigned myself to using reading glasses with my multifocal contacts after my eye exam somewhere else last year- very frustrating in my line of work. But Dr. Cook tried a couple of different strengths and lens brands and corrected my close and distant vision so well that I don't have to use the readers any more. The customer service was great, the quality of care was great, and the office just feels happy and pleasant. read more
