I called Chris on a Friday to schedule my tow the next day and gave him the time frame of my drop off. He said they had some tows scheduled early in the afternoon & would call before on their way for mine. I ended up calling around 4 to check if they only accept cash for tows & Chris explained he would be there in about 15-20 minutes & that they have no way to run credit cards from the truck, so only cash would be accepted. When they came to pick up my car, it was all downhill lol. My car hadn't moved in 2-3 months. The brakes had locked and it couldn't get pushed onto the truck. We also tried jumper cables to jump it but that didn't work because the gas was a little low & again it hasn't been started for awhile. Chris & his buddy hooked up the car with a chain and steered it on to the truck. $60 (6miles total) my car was on it's way to the shop. When insurance attempted to retrieve the vehicle, we were presented with charges far beyond what insurance considers reasonable, including: * $350 winch fee (insurance allows $100) * $125 fuel surcharge * $750 flatbed tow * $525 administrative fee (insurance allows $150) * $275 cleanup fee * $125 per day storage fees accumulating while release was being arranged Despite explaining the financial hardship this created, the business was unwilling to work toward a reasonable solution. Communication with the owner was dismissive and unprofessional, and the situation was portrayed as our fault for the insurance company we use. Accidents are stressful enough without facing excessive fees and unhelpful treatment afterward. I would strongly advise others to ensure they control where their vehicle is towed if possible.

Saturday evening, our car battery actually exploded in a parking lot. We called AAA, and the…read moreestimated wait time was three and a half hours, far beyond the one-hour window they have before you're allowed to call your own company. While waiting for the AAA company, we reached out to several other towing services, but no one was available. Then we called Stickles Towing, and the driver was absolutely amazing. He was upfront that he was backed up at least two and a half hours, but he genuinely made an effort to rearrange his route to get to us as soon as possible. He even called to follow up and check if we still needed help. That level of professionalism and care really stood out. Unfortunately, we ended up replacing the battery ourselves in the parking lot at the four-hour mark, but even though this would have been an out-of-pocket service, his dedication and kindness didn't go unnoticed. I can't recommend Stickles Towing enough, they truly care about their customers!
