And I can SEE again. From 20-40 in both eyes back to 20-20 and a few letters on the 20-15 line. So yes, I'll have to wear my cheaters still to read up close, but no more squinting just to see. And the best of all? I'll be able to see the golf balls I hit once again it might even improve my golf game. Ha! Nothing ever has before. But I'm gonna give my new eyes a shot. Who knows? Maybe I'll get my first hole-in-one!! If I do I'll be back to let you know.

At my one day check up my vision was where I could see 4 more lines on the chart than 6 months ago. I will have my second eye done in 2 weeks. The colors are clearer and I can see that the light in the room is brighter. I am very grateful. His entire team at the office and surgery center eased my anxiety and were excellent. I was a skeptic but now I am so glad I did it. I look forward to enjoy driving again and feel more confident. I have dry eyes and he found something to help my eyes - Miebo drops and I feel very thankful. I had tried so many things and now because of Dr. Waring, I have hope again! S. Stadler Charleston, SC

Dr. Solomon was my family eye Dr when I was young, and now that I am old I still trust him with my…read moreeyes. I was looking into Lasik, and was treated with tender care from start to finish. I showed up having pre-registered online, but we found it easier for her to just copy my cards the old-fashioned way. Kacie is an all-knowing, troubleshooting peach. Checked in and had all my eye measurements taken by a lovely lady who enjoys Chick-fil-A, tell her I went to Mozzo and ordered too much! Anyway, Dr. Schaeffer then came to discuss options, measure again, and put some trial contacts in my eyes to see what I would see. She was kind, honest, and obviously knew what she was doing. I talked to a delightful redheaded lady in financing and she told me everything. I had good options so left with my head buzzing, able to see around me without glasses for the first time in years. I was so excited. I came back after a few days to bad news. Lasik is not an option. I have to wait to get cataracts and then get new lenses during that surgery. But Dr Schaeffer gave me a glasses prescription and contacts prescription and everyone was just so kind. I was a bit heartbroken. But they're now my new optometrist. Everything comes around. Also, there is a bowl full of shades at the front desk if you get dilated. I didn't.

I had a very disappointing experience with this practice…read more My appointment was scheduled because I wanted to have a proactive conversation with a physician about my family history of macular degeneration. My goal was not to seek treatment for a current eye problem, but rather to understand what I can do now to reduce my risk in the future. I wanted to discuss questions such as whether certain vitamins are beneficial, whether therapies like red light therapy have any evidence behind them, and what lifestyle changes or preventive measures are supported by research. When I scheduled the appointment, I was assured that I would be able to meet with a doctor to have this discussion. However, after arriving, I was told that I could not see the physician unless I first completed a full series of medical imaging and diagnostic tests. I was told they needed pictures of my eyes before they could even have a conversation with me. I found this extremely frustrating. While I understand that imaging is appropriate when evaluating or diagnosing an eye condition, I wasn't there because I was experiencing symptoms. I was there to receive education and guidance on prevention. It seems counterproductive that a specialist would refuse to discuss evidence-based ways to reduce risk simply because I declined diagnostic testing that wasn't the purpose of my visit. Preventive medicine should be encouraged. Specialists have an opportunity to educate patients before disease develops, especially when there is a significant family history. Instead, I left feeling that the focus was on requiring procedures before providing even basic medical guidance. Had I been told when scheduling that a consultation was contingent upon undergoing diagnostic imaging, I could have made an informed decision before taking time out of my day. Unfortunately, that expectation was never communicated, making the experience both disappointing and misleading.

I had a concern about being put under general anethesia and the overall outcome. I spoke to 4 surgeons and never felt confident in their approach. Dr.O has a very straightforward approach using only local anethesia with pain medication. I had a full face lift, lip lift and neck lift. I was able to communicate with Dr O during the procedure which gave me great peace of mind. The healing process was seemless. Hardly any bruising or swelling and absolutely no discomfort. I had beautiful results within a week, and after my 6 week checkup there is absolutely no scarring. The results are amazing. At almost 67 years old I look 10-15 years younger, and I am so excited to live my life looking and feeling fantastic! I am eternally grateful to Dr. O and his fantastic team.
