One thing I've noticed is that the facility is constantly undergoing renovations. Since the beginning of this year, they have renovated the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and men's locker room, and now the women's locker room is being updated as well. While it's good to see continuous improvements, the ongoing construction can sometimes feel inconvenient and is a reminder that the facility is aging. My experiences with the staff have been mixed. Some employees are friendly and helpful, while others come across as less welcoming. One incident in particular left a disappointing impression. I accidentally left my phone at the Life Cafe table and realized it after I had already left the gym. When I returned, a young staff member asked to see my membership card. I explained that my membership information was on the phone I had left inside, but despite the obvious situation, he refused to let me enter without an ID. Even after explaining multiple times that I was simply trying to retrieve my phone, he continued insisting on identification. It felt like common sense and flexibility were missing in that moment. Another concern is the membership cost. I currently pay more than $180 per month, which is quite expensive. At that price point, I believe members naturally expect not only quality facilities but also consistently professional and understanding customer service. Despite these frustrations, I still appreciate the convenience of the location and the overall amenities the gym provides.

I pay over $300 a month for a membership, and one of the main reasons I chose this gym was access to the basketball courts. Unfortunately, the courts are unavailable Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM throughout the summer due to camp activities, yet members are still paying full membership rates with no discount or accommodation offered. For members who use the courts regularly, this removes a major part of what we're paying for. It feels unfair to eliminate access to a key amenity for an extended period while continuing to charge full price. I understand businesses want to run summer programs, but this situation seems focused on generating additional revenue at the expense of paying members. I raised these concerns with management and was told, "Sorry, nothing we can do." That response was disappointing and felt dismissive. For a gym at this price point, I expected better communication, better planning, or some effort to make things right for affected members. This was handled poorly.

The people at the front desk can be a little bit irritating when asking basic questions. Some of them are very nice. By far the worst thing at this gym is the incessant horrible music that they play. The people who are working there think that their music that they're playing is what should be blasted at the highest levels. The music many times is not even in English. LA fitness cost more.. but it's better. Yes.. I can wear eat phones ...like the robots that "workout" here. I want to be part of the alive and paying attention people. Another thing is, that I joined for $20 to have all of the amenities of which there are only a few, and they keep raising the price. I signed a contract. But what is the contract if it's only agreed-upon by one person or one side of the agreement. I am now paying over $26. So they've raised it over six dollars and change in two years. And they have the gaul to charge me a fee in that price raise every month... for the ease of charging me. F them.

My wife is the primary policyholder and submitted the required form with my date of birth, phone number, and all the ID numbers. However, Gold's Gym staff kept insisting my name had to appear on the submitted form--even though the form is generated by an automated email system that only shows the primary policyholder's name no matter what you do. I also had my insurance card (showing both our names) and my ID available, but that still wasn't enough. To add to the frustration, when I tried to talk to someone higher up--like the owner or a manager--to get some common-sense resolution, I got absolutely no help. It was like talking to a brick wall. And to top it all off, they don't even offer a veteran's discount, which I find unbelievable in this day and age. I'm only going to this gym because of the insurance rate, but the sheer lack of common sense and customer service has left me really disappointed. I hope they can improve how they handle straightforward situations like this, because it really shouldn't be this hard. They get two stars just because the equipment is kept up.

I have plenty of money to hire a Personal Trainer to come to my inside home gym . Wanted to support someone in a community, I guess I'll do as rich folks do and hire someone to train me in my home gym. I don't recommend this gym. 100% they reacted the way they did because I am an African-American female.
