Here is our story... We were in the process of buying a home, anyone who has purchased a home, knows there will probably be some delays. We are a family of 5 with a 10 month old rottweiler... And we were HOMELESS. we had no where to go until the paperwork was done... We were out of options, hotels don't want rottweilers.. Too "dangerous".. I was DESPERATE... After yelping and a few phone calls, I called these guys. Let me say... The woman who answered the phone was just marvelous. I was at my wits end. Panicking.. My husband and I haven't slept in a couple days. Living separately for a couple of days.. My poor puppy was on edge.. I didn't know what to do. The woman I spoke with eased my spirit in more ways than she could ever know. A half hour later... After getting his shot records we drove to Bothell... At first.. I was skeptical, mostly because I've never been away from my puppy... My husband took him in. Had a mini tour. Purchased extras. Walking. Play time.. Blankie and meat and rice. We were relieved... He was safe... We could stay in the hotel and sleep... Until our paperwork was signed. We were without my pup for 4 days.. We called daily and was given a report on him, I felt like a bad dog mom. Finally. My puppy came home... And he was HAPPY. he got bigger and was less aggressive now than when he went in for boarding. I am so happy that I found this place. My puppy is happy and was safe while we figured out our paperwork.. I am entirely GRATEFUL for this place for giving me peace of mind and HELP when I needed it the most. THANK YOU! read more

2 out of the 4 times we have used Bark Park Inn, our dog has come out with an injury. Both resulted in vet bills total over 2k. 1st was a really bad limp from hurt paw. We didn't think much of it. Stuff happens. 2nd was the worst ear infection I have ever seen. Clearly bloody outside and inside his ear. He was crazy scratching. Neither of these visits did we get a call from them letting us know so we could take action earlier. Our dog was clearly not walked or looked after on either of these visits. Unfortunately we will not be returning, and I recommend that you try another place first. read more

My dogs came home from Bark Park Inn after a one week stay. Usually playful, they were lethargic and unresponsive. My smaller dog had a curvature in his back indicating he had been kept in a crate or kennel that was too small for him, according to my vet. My larger dog had a raging infection, temp of 104 (101 is normal), very high white blood cell count, would not eat...He had to be put in antibiotics. I don't know what happened to my dogs at this place, but it was not good. I would actually say I would give them no stars. My larger dog was so bad that we were talking about euthanasia. read more

As a former employee I highly recommend you do not board your animals here. The manager has no idea what's she is doing and continuously puts her employees in danger. I got bit by a dog, the manager knew she was aggressive and failed to tell me about it stating " sorry, I thought she was just aggressive towards me." Another dog who is a new boarder displayed aggressive behavior when I put him back in his kennel. I made her aware but she didn't pass on that information to the next kennel tech and almost resulted in another employee getting bit. The current manager does not know her breeds or their requirements nor does she have the knowledge to read animal behavior. We are not equipped to handle aggressive dogs nor do they provide training to their employees for aggressive animals but she has accepted 3 aggressive dogs in the 2 weeks iv been there. One other employee also left the job due to bad communication and being humiliated Infront of other employees with the manager talking down to her Infront of employees. She's rude to not only employees but customers who walk in the door and freely talks bad about them. On my last day she elbowed me and told me to shut up. Your animals and the employees remaining at bark park deserve better. read more

Please don't leave your animals here! You'll feel bad as soon as you get there to leave your little homie. If I was to compare this to a hotel/ motel. It would definitely be the crack den motel. This kennel looks like a pound. Not to mention the staff are incompetent. We had the misfortune of dealing with one such on Wednesday 4/20. She asked us for our boys shot records which I had in an email from my vet. We pulled them up and presented. She informed us this didn't show the bordetella shot. (Which I called my vet and googled later it did). So she called our vet. The vet informed her he had all of his shots. To which she poured scorn on. After getting off the phone she informed us they needed the exact date of his next shot a year later! What a joke. I called my vet later and apologized for the woman's tone. I picked my pups up from this boarding and found they're both covered in poop and pees. Beyond nasty. Within 12 hours I had to rush one of my dogs to an ER. 2 days later one of my dogs died from an unknown root cause. The doctors from the ER suspected she might have eaten something that was poisonous or she died from a high stress the led to a severe hepatitis. This is the worst boarding experience that I've ever had. I deeply regret that I caused my dog die by leaving her here. read more

THEY LEFT US HIGH AND DRY THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR VACATION. I called about a week and a half before our reservation and specifically asked if any paperwork was needed to board our pets. We had used Bark Park in the past and they had our records on file. I was told we were fine and just needed to bring them in. The night before our 5am flight I brought our pets in and the guy said "our system is all messed up and we should have told you to get some shots beforehand." I explained how I called and verified over a week ago and that we were leaving on vacation early in the morning. I asked "what exactly do you expect me to do now?" I have a Shiba that always has problems with puppy institutions. My son and I had an 11 day trip and decided to give this place a try since the dogs are kept separately. We hoped that the less interaction would allow him to feel more comfortable. When we got back he was playful, full of energy and NOT excited to leave. It was amazing, we will definitely bring him back the next time we are out of town. The cost was very reasonable also, for all 11 days + 1/day personal play time + his own food (charge of $1/day) the bill came to just under $500. Anyone who has border dog before knows that this is ~60cents on the dollar for what other places charge. Plus he got the freedom to be outside whenever he wanted because of the inside/outside kennel set up. Thank you Bark Park! You are the best dog boarding facility we have found! read more

Cooper has stayed at the Bark Park Inn 2 times. The first time, he cried the whole way home. The second time he seemed to have enjoyed his time, and there was no crying! I really loved the cute little report cards they made for each dog, and it made me feel better about his overall experience. They took him on walks, let him run around, made sure he ate his food with pumpkin, and even let him hang in the office. There are 2 reasons why I gave Bark Park Inn a 3 stars. 1. The policy of 9:00-10:00 AM pickup without being charged another night is a little steep. Especially with work, it is a hard time to squeeze to avoid an extra $32 charge. Other kennels in the area have a 1 pm pickup which is more manageable. 2. Cooper is 3 years old, and I have never once found a flea or tick on him. However, once returning home, I have found upwards of 20 fleas! I understand there are multiple other places he could have gotten them from, but it was just timing. The Bark Park staff is always very kind and professional. They were able to find a spot for my dog one time when they were low on space, and have also cheerfully cancelled my reservation close to the scheduled date when a friend offered to care for my dog instead. When my dog's ear problems flared up, they went to my vet to get more medicine and called me to talk about the situation. They made it seem like it was not a problem to help him out, while it seemed to me that they were going the extra mile for him. I'm not sure how much my dog likes being away from home and staying at the kennel, but I know that they are doing their best to care for him. And I really appreciate that they wash and dry his bed from home, which I leave at the kennel with him, before I pick him up! read more

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL! If you love your dogs, don't take them here. We used Bark Park twice in the past, and although the facility is below average, we were impressed with Kelsey, who showed true care and attentiveness for our pups. Well, Kelsey is gone now, and with her so is Bark Park's passion for the dogs entrusted in their care. However, they'll gladly take all your money, and then some! Here are the highlights of our pups' last visit: - charged us for four days even though we took our dogs at 3 pm on a Friday and picked them up on Monday at 10:20 am. We were not notified of this 10am pickup 'policy.' We have called around and standard pickup times at other local boarding spots is 1pm. What a joke. - they charged full price for both dogs even though they are supposed to charge less for a second dog staying in the same kennel as the first one. - the boy helping couldn't even name our dog correctly. I corrected him on 3 occasions, but he continued to mispronounce. She's a black lab. She loves everyone. Yet he claimed she 'didn't warm up to him.' He is the only person who has ever said something like that about our sweet lab! - on that note, he indicated our dogs didn't warm up to them, yet they "played" with them and charged us for play time. - we asked them to send us at least one update on how they were doing but they said they were "too busy" The only report we got on their stay was that they 'didn't have a terrible time.' That is a direct quote! Last time, Kelsey spent a solid 5 mins going over their progress, eating habits, play time, etc. - we asked that they gave our dogs their daily dental chews and didn't even touch them. Entire bag was returned full. - when we picked up our dogs one of them was skinny to a point we could see his ribs (only 3 nights, so I'm guessing he did not eat at all). They didn't monitor their eating! - our pet blankets were soaked due to an accident and returned to us in a plastic bag. They said they were too busy to wash them. They failed to give our dogs the care they need, they are too busy yet they make a point of over charging but when asked why they didn't do their job they just say "we were too busy." I cannot overstate how many times they said they were too busy. If you are too busy to attend to the dogs' basic needs, hire more staff or accept fewer dogs! We love our dogs very much, and feel beyond guilty having left them at Bark Park. We will not be back, and will make sure to warn our friends as well. read more

I'm sad to report that, with change of ownership and staff, this place is no longer my choice for boarding. Their professionalism, care, and service have dropped while their prices have risen. The only place I'll board my dog! We have a 2-year old rescue Chiweenie, who's pretty wary of new people and new dogs. I was in absolute shambles just thinking about boarding him. The staff at Delanda put me at total ease though. Everyone there is a total sweetheart! They're so gentle with the dogs, and you can tell they genuinely care for each ant every one. The staff suggested that we drop him off for one night, and pick him up the next day. That's exactly what we went with, and everything worked out great! The same week, we boarded him for 8 days. We were sent update photos and texts about how he was doing, and I didn't have to worry a bit about him while we were on vacation. He seemed totally happy when we came to pick him up, and I heard he even warmed up to the staff enough for them to give him belly rubs! I'm so happy that we chose Delanda for our first boarding experience. Even though it's a little out of the way, I'll be back every time we need to board. read more

Our Frenchie stayed here over the weekend and had a great time! He was obviously very well-cared for and didn't seem nervous/anxious at all! It was also nice to have the ability to add in some treats for him during his stay. We will for sure use Bark Park in the future! This place is not the worst but I'm not sure if it is the best. We left our dog here for about a week during thanksgiving break. When we came to pick her up she was in an outside kennel and it was a cold day. They said it was because she had a bath and was just waiting to be picked up. I guess that may be true and they probably had no ill intention but she's a short hair dog and she was shivering. Then there was a horrible cut on top of her nose and her blanket had been ripped up. They said it was the dog next to her. Again, that's probably true but for me I didn't like this place. It's certainly not the worst dog boarding place-they have indoor heated kennels during the cold winter months, they have a lot of space and areas for the dogs to run around, the place seemed to be clean. They even laundered the dog bed we left with our dogs before we picked them up. What I didn't like, however was that they charge for every single thing. Extra walk = more money each day. An extra play time? More money. You brought your own food? More money. Various treats? More money. We opted to bring our pet's own food because they are used to their own kibble. For a 5 day stay, we packed enough for 7 days just to be prepared. Somehow, they used up all 7 days of food during the 5 day stay. I'm really not sure how, but it seems a bit suspicious. Maybe they fed our good kibble to some of the other dogs or grossly overfed our dogs, who knows. The truth is once your dog goes back through the doors you don't really get to see what kind of condition they're in. I did mention that they washed the dog bed we brought, but I'm guessing that our dogs probably soiled in their kennel and on the bed because they weren't taken out frequently enough. We didn't pay the $7 extra each day to have them walked an extra 30 minutes after all. When I dropped off our dogs and and picked them up I never saw any dogs in the play area, even though there were a lot of dogs being boarded. So I'm not sure exactly how frequently or how long any of the dogs get taken out. I don't think I'll board here again unless I'm really stuck. read more

We always use Delanda Dog Inn for our 2 akitas when we go out of town. Akitas are very stubborn & very large. They never, ever have a problem with them at Delanda! Our vet is their vet on call, which is a huge bonus. (Not to mention a bonus to everyone, because he's awesome!) For about $38, per day, for the two of them, it's a great price for the peace of mind we have leaving them here. Our dogs can stay in the same dog run, which is both indoors and outdoors. It's nice that they can stay together and hang out while they are also on vacation. ;) The staff is very friendly and take excellent care of our pups. They always come home healthy, happy and clean. I can't think of a negative that's ever happened here. They walk the dogs, they feed them well (if you have dietary restrictions or need them to feed them different food or give meds each day, for a small fee, they will do this too) and they are just genuinely good with your pet. We took our old akita there, for his 9 years of life and he loved it there. They always greeted him by name and he was actually happy when we would arrive to drop him off! My dogs are like my babies, and, I'd highly recommend Delanda to anyone looking for a great place to take their dog while out of town. They take good care of your buddies! :) read more

I really like this place. And if you have read any other reviews I have written about my dog you know I am very protective over him. For the longest time when I went out of town I paid someone to stay at my house with him. Now, I take him to DeLanda and I love it and he loves it! Its fairly cheap and they always take him out to play with him and spend lots of time on him so he doesn't get lonely. The dog runs he stays in are concrete bottoms and they provide a dog bed and toys (all cleaned daily in the washing machine). I trust these people completely! I have also had him groomed here before, and it's really really cheap, and they do a GREAT job!! read more

Their care for the animals is top notch, with heated sleeping areas, top of the line grooming, attention to special needs (such as special food and medication), and excellent customer service. Be aware they only take cash, but this isn't a reason to mark them down, a little preplanning and this is not a problem. Also if you pick your dog up before 10 AM on the final day of boarding you are not charged for this day, and to me that is an awesome cost savings and service they provide. Edited to add: The most recent good review of this place is two years old--that should have been a clue for me. Don't make the same mistake I did. The short version of this story: they did not feed my dog for a week because the employees didn't like him. The employee that I picked him up from at the end of the week admitted this outright. This is a terrible place to trust with your pet. Last winter I boarded my two small Havanese dogs, one of which was treated very well and one of which was absolutely abused. I do not make such an accusation lightly--the abuse was so bad that I considered legal action. Allow me to elaborate: The dog that was treated well is the smaller of my two dogs--8 pounds, very happy go lucky, no anxiety, extremely cute, and in all ways very easy to love. She went to the Bark Park Inn with her blanket, a toy,allergy medicine, and food for the week. She came home from the Bark Park Inn with her blanket, a toy, the bag that I send her medicine in, as well as a tiny bit of food left over from the week. It was clear that she had been treated well, was clean, and by all appearances taken care of in the way that I left instructions for (e.g. was up to date on her medicine, etc.). The dog that was abused clearly had an experience that was a complete study in contrast. He is 12 pounds, a bit on the anxious side of things, and can be surly when he is around new people/environments. He loves his smaller sibling, and so I was really happy that Bark Park said they could accommodate both dogs in the same kennel. I saw the kennel space, it was more than sufficient in size for the two dogs. I clearly explained that he was anxious, that he barks when it is upset, and I explained how to calmly approach him and demonstrated this to them (nothing fancy, just tell him to 'sit' and 'stay' before you open the kennel door--that way he doesn't rush the food, bark at the person coming into his space, etc.). When I went to pick him up, however, the situation was suspicious. My smaller dog was still in the same kennel where I left her, but my anxious dog was on the complete other end of the kennel row. If you had to separate them, why would you move the anxious dog to a new space rather than the happy dog who adjusts quickly to new things?! He went into the Bark Park Inn with the same types of items as his sister--a blanket, a toy, medicine (anxiety and allergy), and a bag of food. When I went to pick him up, they had lost his blanket and his toy, there was medicine left in the bag (there shouldn't have been--it was measured out exactly--5 pills, 5 days), and there was no food bag. He was visible thinner than when we left him and his front paws looked as though he had been licking and chewing them all week out of anxiety. Worst of all, his collar--with a thick metal clasp and metal tags for vaccines, etc. was completely chewed up. They left my little 12 pound dog alone for enough time for him to be able to chew large quarter-sized pieces of metal from around his neck--and furthermore did not engage with him enough to even see what had been going on?! (Did I mention I paid extra for the personal play time each day??) The employee that I picked them up from said that they didn't like my anxious dog, and had made it the daily punishment of the day for the employee who had to feed him. They clearly didn't feed him and when the employee admitted why (because no body liked him) I practically screamed. So of course, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend anyone trust these monsters with their pets. read more

We love Bark Park Inn! We have been bringing our yellow lab here for over 5 years now, since she was a puppy, for every vacation. This past stay was the longest one yet (2 weeks), but when we picked her up, our girl was happy, well fed, and well rested. We love the extras that are offered and use them for her stay-daily playtime, rice and chicken added to her food, and a bath and nail trim before pick up. All services are reasonably priced too! Also, we really appreciated that Bark Park Inn regularly posted photos of our girl on their Facebook page so we could see all the fun that she was having, as well as responding immediately to my email, when I inquired to how she was doing. They treat our girl like family. I will not hesitate to refer anyone to Bark Park Inn, and continue to bring our girl here when we need boarding services. read more

I have taken my current dog and previous dog here numerous times and had always felt comfortable dropping them off. After my pick up experience this week, we will not be returning. I wanted to express to the manager, Kat, my concern and frustration, however I never heard back from her after I requested that she call me to talk about it. I received an email saying she would contact me "on Thursday" but never did. I know things have been different everywhere due to Covid but that is no excuse to treat repeat customers disrespectfully. My thought is that Kat does not care to receive feedback that may help her in the future. I'm not going into detail on my experience but will say the blonde girl with a pony tail that was working on Tuesday , October 5th, 2021 at around 11 am needs a serious attitude check. I made a reservation for doggy daycare a few days before the actual day of the daycare visit. When I arrived they informed me that my dogs vaccines expired the exact day of his visit. In other words his vaccines aren't due the month of August. They actually expire on a specific day in that month. His vet appt. to update his vaccines was the following week. The manager said therefore she could not have him stay. Where is good customer service anymore ?? That place is not that busy, they couldn't check that when I made the reservation and explained that. Phenomenal service after the business was bought. They have always been accommodating with last minute requests when I get deployed. My dog is always happy to go to Bark Park and is always in good spirits when I pick her up. I recently boarded my 2 dogs at Delanda's for 9 days and was really pleased with the love and attention they received. I was nervous about leaving them for so long, and Delanda's was happy to update me on how they were doing. When I picked them up they were happy and I could tell that they had a good time. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely bring my dogs to Delanda's again. Very upset. I thought I would try this place based on the good reviews. Now I wonder what people were thinking!? I made a reservation to bring my puppy for the day. I let them know I will be there at 8:30 even tho they open up at 9:00 because I needed to get to work, actually they suggested that when I said it was going to be a problem that they open at 9:00 the girl said "you can totally come early". Anyway I get there and no one is answering the door. I rang the bell 5 times and called with no answer! I sat in my car until 8:50! I couldn't wait any longer and had to leave (I was already late for work at this time). I never received a phone call to see what happened. I had the next day scheduled as well and that won't be happening. I don't recommend this place to anyone! Not to mention it was freezing that morning and the dogs were outside in the kennels on cement! I'm not sure if this is how they are always kept!? This place is truly top notch. I have 3 Dobermans and have only had house sitters for them. I was able to drop them off at Delanda and not worry about them. The place is very secure and they get to see other dogs in the other kennels. The price is great and I feel the staff actually cared about the animals. I knew I had happy dogs and that my dogs were treated right by the staff based on what the staff told me about my Dobies. She had played with my dogs and commented about all 3. The proof was in the details. She knew the eccentricities of each dog and who played with what toy. Unless they had spent substantial time with my pups they would have never known the difference. The best part is the dogs came home and slept like rocks. So nice! I can't wait to take them back so they get their own "vacation". read more

I really appreciated the fact that after being away for two weeks, our standard poodle looked exactly the same when I picked him up. We've had problems with boarding places overfeeding him until he gained tons of weight, or hosing him down and not drying him off, resulting in fur that smelled like mildew. But I was very pleased my dog came home to me looking just the way I left him. Also, this place is super clean, and that's a big deal. I know it isn't easy keeping a place clean when there are many dogs in your care. That's a big plus for me. =) read more

Summary: This is a first class business. All my requests were met to full satisfaction even though arrangements had to be made on short notice. Five stars without a doubt. Details: I used Delanda Dog Inn to accommodate my female boston terrier for 3 days while I attended a last minute business trip. My first impression of Delanda was very positive. Each dogs has it's own indoor/outdoor run and the beds are fresh. I didn't not observe any excessive doggy waste in any of the runs as we walked past several when leading my dog to her run. Not only were the care takers at Delanda able to fulfill all my requests on short notice, they were able to maintain the feeding and exercise schedule I use daily. This ensured me that continuity would remain when she returned home. They were even thoughtful enough to send me e-mail updates of her condition and a few photos of playtime. When I drop her off for her stay she is socializing with the other dogs that she can see before I even get out the door! I pick her up completely happy and well cared for. This is amazingly personalized and attentive care, as dog kennels go, with rates that are very fair for the area. These appear to be standard, pretty spacious, kennel runs. We have used Bark Park, formerly DeLanda, for many years - and keep returning due to the diligence to the individual pets' and our needs. We have used them from short 2-day stays to as long as up to 3+ weeks. We've boarded a dog who was in his last, faltering months of life - and were so relieved that our wishes re: "do not resuscitate; humane but not aggressive care" were thoughtfully taken seriously, and noted. Didn't end up an issue while there, but we felt completely at ease. Our dogs are house pets, sleep in our beds and are used to their "creature comforts", so to speak, and never have they returned from Bark Park seeming distraught or traumatized by the kennel, vs a "luxury" boarding experience! They welcome being called to see how your pet is doing. We've boarded an elderly Australian Shepherd who hated seeing other dogs, and they thoughtfully (on their own, unasked) hung a tarp up so she wouldn't have to look at the others! We boarded 3 dogs who were only recently living together, and although we wanted 2 together in 1 run, we weren't sure which two would end up doing better.... so Kelsie figured it out, and did a little switching around - based on her genuine caring about dogs, and observation of their behaviors. Another time, we boarded 2 together in same run, where we suspected the dominant one may have stolen food from the other - so on next boarding, this was mentioned, and they solved the problem by having them take their meals separately, then reunite after eating; AND Bark Park remembered this on 2 subsequent visits, having noted it in the records - so we didn't have to say a thing! (good thing, because I had forgotten...!) Our fearful pit mix is happy to go there now. Our other dog usually acts unhappy to be left, but always returns looking healthy, no weight loss (darn!), and always happy to greet the care takers the next time around. We have never had a dog return with an injury or other physical problem. We have brought dogs with existing, (minor injuries) - and when picked up, someone always lets us know what they've observed re: how it's doing, healing, etc; They now take credit cards, which is a nice convenience, although we still opt to pay cash when possible to avoid the card fee.
