Sitting here now for 45 minutes after store was supposed to open, watched a half dozen other vehicles park wait and leave. Was told over the phone location would be open 12-5 and the signage says it should be open. Scheduled a drop off for an instrument repair and cleaning to ensure it would be completed before the holidays as a gift. What a disappointment considering it's a hour drive / 50 mile commute each way for us. Will find a competitor to do business with that respects our time.

Very good people to work with Passionate and caring.

I am an adult learner and have been with SoR for about a year. I'm having tons of fun playing great music with other like-minded adults. They have also been fantastic during covid with remote and/or in-person lessons and rehearsals. A great place to start living your best rock 'n roll life. Shout outs to Nathan and Garrett for being such fun instructors, and thanks to Sarah for running such a great school.

We did experience what seemed to be some growing pains, and it was difficult for us to maintain the schedule due to other obligations that inevitably popped up, not to mention holiday closures. In the end, we got behind in classes and ultimately withdrew in the hole, no fault of School of Rock who tried to accommodate, but because of our busy lives. (Notably, there is a requisite 30-day notice to cancel. Be aware of this should you decide to enroll or withdraw.) Would we do it again? Maybe... if life were a bit less chaotic!

The building faces 1960, like everything else, but you turn in after the building itself and park in the back of the shop. The entrance is also in the back with the parking lot. This is a huge, very clean, nicely organized store. If you have kid's in band, you already know that there are different books on instruments for different schools. I needed to get a book for my God son who is in middle school. I walked in & was greeted by Jeff, the manager at H & H. As soon as I explained what instrument I needed a book for, he asked, "What school?" I told him & he had the book in my hand & was on the way to checking me out. I don't know squat about instruments, or anything that would be in that store. What I do know is that my oldest son wants to play the snare, but his school told him he needs to wait until High School. So Jeff offered me several pamphlets on private classes, & also wrote down names & numbers of a couple of extra people I can contact. I thought that was great.....after all, he could've just rung me up & went on to the next customer. I give H & H 5 stars!!! They earned every one by having a huge stocked store that is extremely clean & has a friendly & helpful staff. I strongly suggest this store if you are in the area.

And they also give you a case every time you buy a guitar because every guitar comes with the case, they give it to you in the original case unlike other music stores that we all know such as Sweetwater, Guitar Center, American music supply or AMS none of them in the original case you have to buy it for extra $200-$300. At TME they give you a case whatever Guitar you buy I've never left that store without a case. A hardshell case at that not a gig bag. But a real hardshell case that you could stand on all the guitars in it, and it will not hurt the Guitar. I even had one fall out the back of a truck and hit the ground pretty hard in the hard showcase and they were both fine. All three were fine 73 Gibson and less Paul 1998 seven string Ibanez RGS/RGA?? 7 7120 something like that. it was black with a Floyd rose. I don't remember what kind of pick up cause back man seven strings had just come out not many people knew how to plan now they're just as easy if not easier to play in a sixth string because everything's based on seven patterns and the strings of positions and fingering on each string and on and on and on, I think if you learn guitar theory with a seven string, you wear your ass fit a lot faster than having to see the seven string feeding pattern and the fingering positions just to get a seven string so you don't have to skip that seventh repeating pattern you just play it also you get a full three octaves instead of two octaves and 4 notes so basically anywhere from 17 to 19 notes Max. On a seven string you can complete the whole fingering pattern in each three note for string pattern and you played 3 office and your notice that if there are a much shorter space on the six string it will go from like 5th fret to 7 or eight, possibly nine

Meaning I didn't have to worry about switching teachers due to them returning to school or taking on fulltime employment elsewhere. I would come to regret this!!! Kingwood music school is a two story building with multiple teachers. Sometimes it has an odd smell, like spoiled milk or something. The women in the front desk are friendly and helpful. They provided good information and are responsive to questions. The teacher and student population are diverse in age and race. My biggest drawback was the teacher. As I mentioned I took violin here after taking lessons 8 months elsewhere. Prior to starting at Kingwood music school, I enjoyed learning and the challenge of the violin. However, I decided to leave after feeling more frustration and annoyed with the teacher. She is so meticulous and tedious about everything , we spent months going over the same thing. She could not remember where we left off the previous week and just felt disconnected. She never asked why I wanted to learn, whether I played before or my goals. My goal was for self enjoyment, not the symphony orchestra, so the snap behavior was not necessary. I began to regret going to lessons with her. When I terminated sessions they (front desk or teacher) never asked why. Which tells me either they don't care or it's normal to them. Either way stay clear of interested in violin!!!
