I have received nothing but excellent customer service from the store manager, Vincent. I've been shopping here for years and it means so much to be greeted with a smile and him knowing my name every time I return to the shop. He is kind and always willing to answer any questions I have. I can tell he has such heart put into his work. It's truly refreshing to see someone so passionate about music in the store and wanting to share the gift with others! I highly recommend this store if you want excellent service. Not a good experience at all. Customer service needs improvement. It is a small space and can get crowded quickly. The fee for lessons is comparable to other places, but felt my child would receive more attention elsewhere. Teacher was not very attentive, walking in and out of the room, and somewhat scolded my child for not knowing something. Teacher did not appear to be genuine and obviously had favorites. We did not feel welcomed. My child is now attending and loving School of Rock. A more realistic setting with genuine people who are not uptight. read more

I LOVE that they have remained open during COVID, but they take safety seriously. I have read other reviews about poor customer service--I'm sorry, that's a joke. There are always at least two people there, both of which always seem knowledgeable and address my questions well. Admittedly, I have only dealt with the lessons and guitar/piano side of the house, but I highly recommend them. They have some of the best teachers in town, have very reasonable prices on strings/accessories, always direct me toward deals, and they were VERY accommodating when I had to quit taking lessons. It took a couple weeks for the account stuff to settle, but that takes time. read more

One day we came to this store i order to purchase something for our daughter for school. We found out they offer lessons here. Our son has been wanting to take piano lessons. So we signed up for lessons at the time my husband signed up for guitar lesson as well. The instructors are amazing. When we are not able to make a class that week we contact them in advance to reschedule a make up session. Which is great because sometimes we would go camping. Lol. The staff at the music store have always been great. Very nice and informative. If something is not in stock they would look for the item from another store or they would order it for me. Also in case of emergency and lessons must be cancelled the store contacts before lessons. My son loves his music teacher and looks forward to his lessons each week. Unfortunately I can't give this place zero stars, they do not deserve the one star I was forced to give them. Just like the other reviews this place has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I deeply regret the day that I walked into this place and gave them my business. You ask them a question, and no one knows an answer to basic questions they will only refer you to their 1-800 number. I was renting to own a used instrument from them and was on their auto pay each month, well they decided they were going to close my account and "write off" the USED instrument at a NEW instrument price. When I asked why this happened their response is "I don't know, I can't see anything on your account". They are liars and I will make sure to tell all the band/orchestra parents to take their business else where. Disgusting liars. *UPDATE* As you can see below I was asked to send an email with this review and my contact info attached so that my situation could be addressed. Welp, I have done so 3 times, it's been roughly 2 weeks and no response from them at all. Great customer service and excellent teachers! Pancho is a fantastic music teacher. I highly recommend him!! He is knowledgeable, patient, and very flexible with schedule and make-ups. Worst customer service. It's sad that I have to go on their website and call the 800# just to receive Store customer service. They blatantly don't answer your questions in an honest manner. The only answer you will receive is to refer to your contract. I don't even think the store manager/employees have read the contract. FYI: when you go into a rental contract, they state any rental money you pay will go towards the purchase of that instrument... It's BS! If anyone wants further detail, msg me. read more

I ordered a viola for my daughter. She needed a 16.5 inch. I asked how long would it take. Delivery expected 5-7 business days. It took 2 months even at that they called me 3 weeks after I picked up the 1st one to ask " when will you be picking it up?". I told them I picked it up 3 weeks ago after waiting 2 months. "WOW". Friendly but expensive. Told me basic price for intro student violin was 800, but research showed that was twice as much. Perhaps the name was different from what I researched online, but don't tell me I won't be able to find one for cheaper if I know I can. That just makes it appear that you are trying to deceive me. read more

I have always received great service from the Selma Music & Arts store. My special orders have arrived promptly and I have been contacted by phone when my order was ready for pick up. LOUSY we don't give a rip attitude! Manager throws ridiculous store "policy" in your face as justification for not being flexible or helpful! We have music lessons we need to make up but they refuse to work with the time we have and don't give a damn about the student! We will NEVER take lessons here again! Which makes me both angry and frustrated as we liked the contracting drum instructor! The store and manager in particular are who are driving us away! The manager is callous and uncaring except for his greedy bottom line! Don't waste your time OR money here! read more

I've gone here many times for guitar strings, violin accessories, bassoon, sax, and clarinet reeds. I have always received above average customer service. Employees are willing to help and do so with a friendly attitude. I've been to Sam Ash and feel like they won't help and are all about the sale. Not here, they treat their customers right! read more
