I wish I could give "zero" rating for this company. No issues with the local stores. But I've never seen such a messed up corporate. My son rented a violin for 9 months. Between June to August 2020, we started noticing several unknown charges. When inquired, they indicated that the charges were because the instrument was not returned at the end of the contract. We were told by the school (via local store) to keep them for the summer since kids were not able to use the instruments due to the Covid 19 during the school year. They indicated that they would credit the third charge if we return the instrument to the store. After returning it, they did not remove the charge. They actually charged once more. I called the customer service numerous times. The call center people were purely dumb, had attitude and not willing to resolve the issue. I requested the main office to call me back, but never received a call from them. I ended up paying some charges and used my credit card company to dispute the rest. I won the dispute and my credit card company credit back to my account. However, Music and Arts still sends me paper bill showing an outstanding balance. This is very annoying and abusive. Never and ever buy or rent an instrument from Music and Arts. Otherwise you will experience the same issue with no willingness to resolve from them. read more

Do not under any circumstances buy an instrument or rent an instrument from them! You are dealing with their corporate offices and they have the WORST customer service. We have had strange charges on our account that had to be removed, and their customer service people barely speak English. I have been on hold over 5 minutes just to find out what my payoff balance is on our rental! Also, even if you're vaccinated and no one else is inside, they refuse to let you shop mask free (CDC says it's ok!). They will ask you to leave. DO NOT SUPPORT THEM! read more

I like the people in the store, but the rental and the financing department are robbing people blind. People, go on Craigslist and purchase instruments. Also, if you have instruments laying around, donate them to your schools! The fees and rental prices are astonishing, add them up, people, you are paying a fortune! The financing department is impossible to get ahold of and they don't return calls. They are doing business poorly and unkindly. Don't fall for their easy options...support small business like DeLuca in Hatboro or Golden Violins in Philadelphia. Stop supporting this company!! read more

Just left the Horsham store. Asked if they could apply a $20.00 coupon that they forgot to apply last school year for a trombone rental for my 4th grader. I made 3 attempts last year trying to get the coupon applied to no avail. The young female manager on duty tonight said "I am sorry, but we do not have any coupons this year." Really? I have been on the phone and in the store on several occasions for a bill that I DO NOT OWE! The people in the store have been friendly, but no help whatsoever. The people who work in their customer care department have been rude, uncooperative, unproductive, and unwilling to help me get to the bottom of this unfair situation.
