I brought my car into have 5 of the 6 windows on my sedan tinted. I initially went ahead with their pricing and service because they were nearby and I was impatient. I dropped the car off around 11:30 and was told it would be done in about two hours. I showed up at 1:30 and ended up waiting another 1.5 hours for my car to be finished. Upon it being finished and them pulling it around front for me, I noticed the tint film was cut unevenly and there were gaps at the bottom of the windows near the seals where the light was coming through. I pointed it out and they wanted to charge more just to have it done again the correct way. Needless to say the service is poor here, they are extremely unreliable, their work is novice, and me nor any of my family have had a good experience here. Just go ahead and spend a little bit more anywhere else to have anything done to your vehicles. And stay away from Mike. He's extremely rude, impatient, and honestly needs to just find a new approach to customers. read more

Came here thinking I would get the service I paid (a few thousand) for but overall this place left my car in worst condition then it was before I brought it in. I have been trying to get repairs fixed on my car for over 2 months and every time they touch my car a new issue accrues. They don't want to take responsibility for the damages that they created. I got tired of them basically making me feel crazy so I was left with no choice and took my car to another shop. There results were that music n motions work was the cause to the issues I'm having. I had them document everything with videos and photos. I'm in about 1000 dollars in repairs dues to music n motions work. I am completely unsatisfied with the work and service here. Saw lots of reviews (positive) on music and window tinting however did you know they do other automotive work? I had Andrew quote me on installing new suspension coils and realignment on my brand new M3. Not even 250 miles on it so you can imaging my nerves when I dropped the car off. Not only was the work performed flawlessly but Minar the mechanic treated it like his own. That's the personal care you want for your hard earned purchases especially a high end car. Oh did I mention that the cost was very reasonable as it clearly wasn't a one time transaction for Andrew. It can be a bit daunting walking into a store where you have no idea where to start and what to ask for. All you know is that you want more bass in your car audio. From start to finish, I've been impressed with Music 'N Motion. Mike is as honest and good hearted as they come. I came in with a question on whether they had a converter for my stock radio to wire my amp. Luckily Mike was there to answer my questions and was really fun to talk with as well. He showed me the part I needed and even printed out a wiring diagram for me (since I was going to do the install myself). Long story short, I came in a few days later to return the part, as I decided to upgrade my deck and therefore didn't need the part. Mike was there with his buddy, and we all had a nice chat about random things. Mike offers store credit and since I was happy with my car audio, he took a loss and gave me a backup camera that was priced higher than the item I was returning. Mike and his crew are all honest people. They could have taken a naive person who didn't know his amp from his radio and sold me unnecessary things. That wasn't the case. Mike is the type of guy who would literally stop mid conversation and run out to help a stranger push his car (yup, which happened). This type of business with its ownership is a rarity in Dublin. Last May, I purchased a new car and I finally decided to get my windows tinted again. I wouldn't trust my car going anywhere else. This is the first time I've written a 5 star review for a company I DIDN'T do business with, but I had to give Andrew at Music 'N Motion 2 thumbs up! Several years ago I had a back-up camera installed at a big box store in Dublin (you know which one I'm talking about). It stopped working recently and, since the warranty had long expired, I figured I was out of luck. I tried calling the store on their "local" phone # but instead I got someone in a call center in, who knows where, who told me that the Dublin location no longer had a service bay. So, if I wanted to have someone look into the issue, I'd have to book an appointment for $150.00 in Milpitas which was the closest location that still had a service/installation department. The call center tried to patch me through to the Milpitas store and the call was promptly dropped. I went through this process about a half dozen times before i gave up and decided to find a local shop to check out the problem. I e-mailed a half dozen local shops with the make and model of the camera, a detailed description of the problem and a picture of the display screen. I received only two replies. The first was, basically "this is our hourly rate, call us to make an appointment". The other was from Andrew, who diagnosed the possible causes (anything from "a loose ground wire" to "you might need a new camera", and estimates for the range of options. As it turns out I had to make a trip to SJ and I decided to just "drop in" at the service department in the back of the big box store in Milpitas. Turns out is WAS just a loose ground wire. I was in and out in 20 minutes and it didn't cost me anything. Andrew's info saved me some money (and cost him some, in the short run). But you know I'll be taking all my future business to Music 'N Motion. And I'll be telling anyone who will hold still long enough to listen, where they need to take their cars, as well! read more

ATTN TESLA OWNERS!!! So thankful that I was introduced to Andrew through a co-worker! He literally saved my new Tesla. I didn't really do my research before tinting my new Model 3 and had the back glass tinted 3/4 way up and I absolutely hated it! Straight line of tint across the back glass that bothered me every time I looked in my rear view mirror. When I called the tint place who installed it, I was told that it couldn't be fixed for fear the defrosting lines would come off during the removal. Apparently that's common with Model 3. My options were removal of defrosting lines along with tint or 1/2 tint overlap. I immediately called Andrew and he assured me that he could remove the tint while keeping the defrosting lines in tact and tint the glass in one piece and HE DID!!!! It looks so much better and I'm so thankful that my mistake was able to be fixed. Take your Tesla to Andrew!!!! read more

Not only do they do great work but there also some of the nicest people I've met in quite some time, and were clearly professional and earned my trust to leave my car there. Rude owner. I stopped into the shop at the end of the day and owner was pretty rude and didn't seem to be interested in learning what I may need. I started by asking for a referral for sunroof repair because their sign says window tent. I also asked for a referral to see if he was truly interested in helping his customers. He is not. I then gave him a specific request for my 84 El Camino to upgrade and truck out the audio systems in. The job sounded a little too technical for him, although he said bring it by and he would take a look. My primary goal today was to find someone who was knowledgeable AND nice to work with - because I have 8 cars and would like to upgrade audio on 5 of them. My search continues. Where to begin... There are two owners at this establishment, & boy, are they night & day. Unfortunately for Andrew, he's in business with Mike, & his business will continue to receive such reviews, until that changes. After my most recent & final experience with Mike, I decided to thoroughly sift through their reviews, to see what the negative reviews were about. I'll admit, the negatives are few & far between, but they tell a story, & they tell it well. As with just about ALL of the other negative reviews, my only issue with this entire establishment is Mike (The Owner). I won't be surprised in the least, to see him reply with ridiculous accusations, claiming that I demanded free warranty work etc. You would think that when a customer calls & tells you, your business is responsible for the faulty and unsafe reinstallation, of your rear seat that your multiple young children sit in consistently, a responsible business owner would be ALL EARS. Quite the opposite happened to be my experience with this business, & business owner. Instead I was met with a harsh tone, accusations that I wanted free work completed, screaming, yelling, etc. I'll admit, given the stakes, & fact that my children's safety was put in jeopardy, & the man ultimately responsible showed zero concern, I came undone myself! I was beyond livid. I'm still as floored today, as I was a few days ago, when the incident occurred. I will be filing a civil lawsuit against this business, & reaching out to the BBB. My backseat in my 2012 Ford truck was reinstalled faulty; it was literally loose & not bolted to the truck securely. You can imagine my distress, when I realized that my children could have been ejected from my vehicle, had I not caught the mistakes made by this business. To be extremely clear, money is not an issue. I'm a business owner myself, & I cannot imagine treating my customer in this manner, let alone with such a serious issue to address. I'll be gladly getting the work completed elsewhere, & my new mission in life is to make sure this business cannot put anyone else's children's lives in jeopardy! Thanks again Mike! The first install experience I had with Music N Motion was extremely positive. I had a stereo and a 10 inch subwoofer installed in an old Tacoma of mine. The install was really clean- all the wires nicely hidden, everything wired correctly, and the stereo tuned. Fast forward to last weekend, and I was quoted 800 dollars for a stereo install in a Honda Civic. I understand it needs a dash kit and times are hard, but 800 dollars is just ridiculous. Just a shame because I've got 3 other cars that need stereos installed too. I'll be taking my business to Cal Custom instead- much better pricing, more laid back people, and the quality of the work is the same as here. read more

These guys are truly the best. Excellent customer service and super honest, they are not trying to rip you off by any means! They truly know what they are doing and do a clean and worry free job every time. They 100% have your best interest at heart and want you to love your car modifications. My boyfriend and I have been coming here since they opened and have had an amazing experience with our 3-4 cars we have brought to them! We literally bring our cars down to this place right after buying them for tint and sound system. We refer all of our friends here because we don't trust anyone else. In my car I have tint and a great set up with a sub in my trunk. I got my tint when I got my car 2 years ago and it's still looking great! They can customize your sound system how you want it and are really good at the hiding wires to make it look super clean. They made my system and my boyfriends system in our newer cars sound great even with stock speakers. And my boyfriends truck got new speakers and shallow mount subs so that none of the cab space is compromised and it sounds amazing. They can do a wide variety of modifications too not just subs and tint! Bottom line take your car to Mike and Andrew because they are truly the best and really know how to get the job done right the first time! read more

Michael did a great job explaining the types of tint and what tint you can have on your car. The 3 types of tint that they provide are stuck to the window of their shop and also shows the different percentages of each so it is easy to decide what type of tint would work for your car or truck. Just bought new Tesla and was looking for someone to tint my windows. I heard about M'NM on NextDoor app and was very happy I chose this business. They did an awesome job on my 4 windows in just one day. Since Tesla have frameless windows, I was initially worried about how the window edges would look, but they are absolutely perfect. This looks as good (if not better) than any tinting I've had from the car manufacturer! I chose the ceramic finish which was a bit more expensive, but well worth it. I came in with a question about a Bluetooth failure in my original factory-installed car stereo, and Mike spent quite a long time trying to troubleshoot the problem and gave me some good suggestions of things to try. Really nice guy and extremely helpful to someone who wasn't even a customer...yet. (As it turns out, I learned from another source that my Bluetooth issue is due to the age of my car, and the fact that updates to the car's software are no longer supported. I had a high pitch sound coming from my stereo that others hadn't been able to find. They found the problem and got me a new amp for an exceptional price.
