I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scott's Kennels…read more They cared for my senior dog, Moxie, for nearly a week while I was over 3,000 miles away for work--and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. Moxie has special needs (a form of epilepsy) and very little experience staying in a kennel, so I was deeply concerned not only for her health, but also for how she would handle the stress of a new environment. I checked in twice while I was away, just to make sure everything was okay. Each time, the staff reassured me with such genuine warmth and kindness. It was immediately clear how much they cared about her--they spoke about Moxie like she was their own. I was so touched to learn that they were taking her out for extra one-on-one time and giving her special attention beyond the standard routine. When I picked her up, I was honestly amazed. She was happy, playful, and--somehow--even healthier than when I dropped her off. I had prepared special meals and treats for her, and they followed everything carefully and thoughtfully. (They also offer the option to use their food, which is great for flexibility.) The facility itself is incredibly clean, and the staff are not only professional but truly compassionate animal lovers. It's clear they spent a tremendous amount of time monitoring her, caring for her needs, and making sure she was comfortable and safe. It's now been over 24 hours since I brought her home, and I genuinely feel like she is an even happier, healthier dog after her stay--which is something I never expected. I had worried I might come home to a stressed dog who refused to eat or had experienced a seizure. Instead, I found the exact opposite. I highly, highly recommend Scott's Kennels. They gave me complete peace of mind, and I now know that if I ever need to travel again, Moxie will be in the best possible hands.

My older lab is never left more than a couple hours, he goes with me to most places and not use to being alone for long durations, also someone I could trust in my home. Crissy did an excellent job, my lab was happy, fed and let out to play. I will call Crissy's Critters for any and all future pet care. THANK YOU CRISSY

He…read morealso has some sort of ADHD, which makes it impossible to get him to pay attention, or get his focus on one specific thing like dinner or late night potty trips. He also has a hard time with strangers, so we were resigned to think we would never get away from the house due to his issues. Once we were forced to look into dog-sitting for an event we were required to attend, we realized finding someone to look after him was imperative. After emailing back and forth with Crissy, we set up a time for them to meet at our house, to see how they got along. Carson was his typical shakey, barking self, but Crissy's easygoing nature made his nerves settle down and he eventually took to her quite enthusiastically. Crissy has dog-sat for us on multiple occasions, on day trips and weekend overnights, and every time we returned, we came back to a happy dog, and a safe house. I feel confident leaving our lil guy in her capable hands, and will continue to do so. I highly recommend her to anyone with pets, and especially people with pets who have special needs, are old or injured, or have issues that put them out of the possibility of putting their lil friend in a kennel. Prices are reasonable, with prices by the hour, or by event, such as a one hour visit being $28, or an overnight with a mid day walk being $68. Absolutely worth it, Crissy is talented and wonderful, and will remain with our family for as long as possible.

Royal Flush Havanese - Our girl now

ok...not sure about all these reviews by people who dont understand dogs. My family used to own…read moreone of the largest retail pet supply companies in North America. I know dogs. Training and socializing a dog (no matter what the breed or breeder) is an involved commitment. You dont bring a baby home and expect it to recite the Gettysburg Address...likewise with a puppy...it is a commitment. That being said, we adopted our little girl from Royal Flush in April of 2017. She was 8 weeks old, and immeadiately we fell in love. We diligently used a leash to potty train her, then enrolled her in puppy socialization classes and training. She was so good at both that she eventually became a helper dog for younger pups who were skittish and needed help socializing. She was so smart and trained to tricks so easily that we enrolled her in an agility class taught by an internationally recognized agility trainer who was impressed at how quickly our little girl learned agility. The trainer thought we had been practicing every week...but it was that our little girl was super smart. She is not only very trainable, but she is the most reasonable dog I have ever met. She "reads the room" very well, knows instinctively what to do and where to be. (not underfoot). She is a good alarm/guard dog but once the (intruder) enters the home invited by us, she is just so happy to be their friend. She watches tv....lol...she memorizes all the commercials with dogs in them and comes running whenever she hears those commercials come on. She loves any tv program with animals in it. We can take her just about anywhere. She loves other people and dogs...(although she isnt fond of boy dogs who are interested in her back end)...for those fellas she doesn't confront...she just walks away. Being a small dog and aware of her petite nature, she is always aware of what is above her. She is always watching airplanes or birds above not in a skittish way but in a preemptive way...aware that things can fall on her...she is smart ....like I said. She is a total clown. At 8 years old, she is still as funny energetic and playful as she was at 1 yr old. When we play with her, we cannot help but laugh at her clever and funny antics. This is a magnificent dog. But she is also a dog that we have taken the time to care for and train. I would recommend Royal Flush again and again.

I got my pup from Royal Flush Havanese a few months ago and unfortunately I've been extremely…read moredisappointed since. At our first vet visit, we were told by our vet that our puppy has an umbilical hernia that the breeder failed to make us aware of. I immediately reached out to RFH with this information since it was clear that this would cost us some extra money to take care of in the future, but of course this isn't covered by the "health guarantee" - which is a total scam, by the way. And just wait because this isn't even the worst of it.... A couple months after this our puppy was diagnosed with cherry eye. While this isn't a life threatening issue, the only permanent solution is a surgical procedure or else your dog will have lifelong issues with dry eye and recurrent infections in the eye. I reached out to RFH again about this issue and low and behold this issue is specifically mentioned in the contract as NOT covered under the health guarantee. How convenient! I'm sure they know very well that cherry eye runs in their bloodline and it would be very expensive for them to cover this issue since it is so common in their puppies. It's been just shy of 6 months since I had my RFH puppy and of course I've already fallen in love with her, but unfortunately I've already spent over $3,500 on these unexpected health costs after spending about the same much for the pup in the first place. All of this is to say, don't let this place trick you into thinking the high upfront price tag for your dog will be worth it in the end in terms of lower health risks, health guarantee, etc. As much as we love our puppy we would never get another pup from RFH nor would we recommend to ANYONE and we will definitely do our research next time about more ethical, less shady breeders.

All…read moreof them have always been ready to jump out of the car and run toward the "Puppy Hotel" as soon as we make the turn off Jefferson Boulevard! When we pull up into the parking lot our present dog, Honey, can hardly wait to run in to see Frank. I'm sure there are more extravagant places to board our dog; however, I'm also sure that none can beat the care and attention our dog gets while she's there! Cosmetics isn't everything. The kennel where our dog is kept is clean and is, I'm sure, washed down more than once a day. She is her own large cage and at the end of each cage is a door which Frank opens so the dogs can go out into the I own fenced- in run...I would say it is about 10 feet long and approximately 4 1/2 feet wide, so there is plenty of room for her to move around inside and plenty of room for her to play during her outside time. Not once, in all of the years we have been boarding our pets there have any of them ever come back with so much as a flee or any type of illness. As a matter of fact they seem to come home cleaner than when we dropped them off! Frank is usually always working around the back where the animals are boarded and always talks to the animals. This last time when we boarded Honey it had been over a year since she had been there, and Frank remembered her name and Honey ran toward him as though he were her long-lost friend! (So much for loyalty! LOL!) She went right in the back with him as if we had disappeared! !! Hmmm!!! I must say though that it always gives us a peace of mind knowing that she, (and our two other dogs that have now passed), actually love being boarded. Frank is very picky when it comes to which cats or dogs he will board. If your furry friend is over a certain age and has never been boarded, don't bother calling. I think that Frank may feel, and rightfully so, that if your dog is 5 years old and has never been out of your sight or boarded it is not fair to send him/her to a kennel for a week. I'm sure it could be a very traumatic experience. All animals have to be up-to-date with all of their immunizations and one must leave an emergency number or two and the animal's vet's name. We happen to take Honey to the vet that Frank's wife works with so that is a plus for Honey...she not only loves Frank but also his wife. Another great advantage is that Frank lives right upstairs so either he or the Mrs. are there 24/7. I find this to be very comforting. So if you are looking for a wonderful, caring place to board your pet, I feel that you can't go wrong with Warwick Pet Lodge! Oh just a little tip...when we first get our dog we get them used to being boarded by leaving them several times for a night or two on a weekend when we are home so they know we will be back for them. All of our dogs have been rescued from shelters and we don't want them to think they are being deserted again! That way when we leave them for longer periods of time they are all ready for their stay at their favorite home away from home!
