You get what you pay for. At Mutt's you will pay about 30% above average, but for something not found everywhere else. Their burgers are humongous, made fresh-to-order, and everything is a la carte. I put down $12.50 (plus a $1 tip for them walking my platter to the table as you order up front off the wall menu), sparing my hernia for the task at hand! First time here, my husband got a vanilla shake to take out. Made of solid pure ice cream, it was the real deal and not too sweet but super rich. Around $5 or $6, but this is good stuff. Next time around going solo, I had a provolone and mushroom burger with fries. Two overlapping solid beef patties made exactly as I'd requested - well done inside and out, no obvious salt to raise my blood pressure (a frequent problem with pre-seasoned meat elsewhere) - nestled within a perfectly grilled bun and accompanied by delectably crispy fries, along with tomato, lettuce, onion and dill pickle on the side. Condiments are aplenty and take up a small side area. I always like my meat 'n taters with bbq sauce, which they also brought over. My bill included their freshly brewed sweet tea (unlimited refills) which was delicious. Inside, Mutt's resembles a 1950's soda shop, and the owners/staff wear outfits befitting same. The bathrooms are outside as this was once a filling station (and remains true to form!; they are immaculate and always well-stocked with paper products. My next visit saw me change only one thing - the cheese to swiss. (And you thought I was gonna say 'underwear'!) This weekend the husband gotta sample the merchandise for himself. Once you go Mutt's, you'll never ask "Where's the beef?" again. In fact, you might even learn what good meat is along with good service. Aside from Manny's Chophouse in Haines City, good small burgers across the way at The Catfish Place, and I also hear at Sideline's in the Staples' shopping plaza nearby, there's no competiton anyplace else. Mutt's is definitely out in front for size alone -- and yes, size does matter when one talks burgers for the hungry beef eater. I'll be back ... many times. (Maybe they'll even lower their prices!) I've eaten at Mutts about 7-8 times. Their burgers are surely the best in town, made fresh and cooked to order. I get their sweet potato fries, they're good. The atmosphere is retro, you order at the counter, and after your meal is prepared in the back, you have the option of eating inside or out on the front patio. The road noise is pretty heavy but it's nice to sit out there on a cooler day. In the past, they only accepted cash, but now credit cards are accepted. I recommend. read more

New in town so of course I had to try this place. Glad I did. The inside of the tiny restaurant (used to be a gas station?) is immaculate! The pulled pork sandwich came w/ coleslaw-WHICH I LOVE. Nice real fresh cut potatoes for french fries. The fried pickles were the only thing we didn't like. Dry and tasteless. BUT! everything else (including the service) was phenomenal. The nice lady at the counter (think I overheard she is from Tampa) was beyond hospitable. She was great! I will definitely try the burger next time seeing as how so many people loved it. This will be my weekend "grab a quick lunch" place. Oh and the bathrooms (even though they are located outside) are the cleanest bathrooms I have ever witnessed in my life. ANYWHERE! Found this place via a Yelp search and have been trying to get there for a few weeks. Finally was able to find time to get there and try this place and the burgers that so many others love. Well, as you can see by the three stars, I was not impressed, neither was my dining partner. Both of us had a burger, we added rings and fries and milkshake to ensure we tried their specialties. Small place with nice people, not overly friendly, but not rude either, average, A-OK. Burgers were OK, nothing special and for the price, I would expect MUCH more. This place is in St Cloud, not NYC, $7.50 for a burger is a little pricey and yes I took that into my review thoughts. Even a regular burger is $5.25 with a milkshake adding $5, the price adds up quickly. Next time I'll drive down the road and get to Five Guys, better prices and, in my opinion, better burgers. read more

Another St Cloud find for the person who has been living here for 10 years. I really need to explore my town more. This burger joint offers, burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders, milkshakes, ice cream onions rings and other awesome options. I'm picky about burgers and this was a good burger. It was cooked to perfection, it wasn't red in the middle but it wasn't overdone either. It was juicy and flavorful. You can tell that they use good meat for their patties. The food was good, I am currently trying to watch what I'm eating, and I sure did watch it go right into my mouth! Nom nom nom. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with sautéed onions and sweet potato fries. Everyone in our group was pleased with their food. The customer service was good as well. They offered different options for drinks as well which was nice which included cream and orange sodas, root beer etc. My son also had an ice cream scoop of "superman" which I think is just vanilla with food coloring in it but that was good too. I want to kick myself for not trying this place out sooner, but I'm sure my arteries will thank me one day. We will return, in moderation of course! read more

The staff is extremely friendly as well. I have been here numerous times and I have never had a bad experience. The floor is clean, tables are always wiped, and the food is always delicious. The food is a little pricey, but it is definitely worth the money. The portions are huge and you will never leave with an empty stomach. Mutts has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Saint Cloud area. The place itself doesn't seem to pleasing, but that shouldn't stop you from going in. The staff are so friendly and provide great customer service. The food is made fresh daily. The beef used in the burgers are from a butcher shop down the street. The fries are cut daily and fried on order. The corn dogs are made and dipped on order as well. Price varies, but it's money well spent. read more

Little pricey for what they're selling. I ordered a corn dog and a burger, took quite a while to get to me. When I did get it, my boyfriends corn dog was under cooked. Soggy and cold. My burger was okay. Really messy, but just okay. We got another corn dog for the cold one and it was a strange taste. The batter wasn't crispy, it wasn't like your normal carnival corn dog. Went here on a whim one Saturday afternoon with husband and daughter. Everyone LOVED it. We were very surprised that we could get such great food at a great price. It was comparable to going to McDonalds or Burger King as far as price goes. I mean just about every combo at one of those places is at least $6.00. We loved it so much that on Sunday our daughter got up and said that the one thing she wanted to do was get lunch at Mutts.
