    Rib dinner with 3 sides
    Felicia B.

When you want bbq that tastes like home without cooking it yourself this is the place. My selection was the rib dinner with 3 sides my choices were green beans, mac and cheese, fried okra and garlic toast. The service was quick and staff was friendly and helpful.

Great tasting BBQ that is consistently perfect and alludes are tasty except collards (we like plain collards with pot liquor no extra chopped veggies in the collards) bacon or ham okay.

1/2 slab, fried okra, collard greens, Carolina Pig sandwich (pork, pickles, slaw, jalapeños); could sub garlic bread for regular bun.

More like a 2.5. Good but not amazing. Meats were well cooked but under seasoned. Collards were fine but not flavorful. Carolina Pig sandwich was good but again needed more flavor. Their mustard sauce is good but other sauces were just ok; nothing outstanding. Would I go back? Yeah probably cause it's close to the house. Would I highly recommend? Probably not, Granny's Southern Smokehouse is better.

Excellent food find! I had a late lunch here, with a colleague, both of us are from out of town. I feel like there was something for everyone on the menu, food was delicious, and service was very friendly. I had the cheeseburger special with fries and a drink ($9.50), my friend had a Cuban, and we split fried pickles. You order at the counter, pay, grab your drinks, and the food is brought to your table. It happened very fast for us, and was very hot and fresh. There was plenty of seating, it was quiet and it was clean. We were there at about 4pm on a Thursday. I was very pleasantly surprised with the prices and quality.

We happen to stumble upon Jimmy Bears BBQ and are glad we had the opportunity to try it! We came on a Friday night around 6pm, expecting the restaurant to be packed but as we walked in we quickly realized we were the only patrons there. During our time there we never saw anyone else come in either. We ordered our food to-go, and it came out relatively quickly! We felt the price was on par with similar restaurants, and very fair for the amount of food you received The food itself was overall decent. There were some items that we really enjoyed, like the Mac and cheese, three blind mice sandwich, and the Alabama white sauce!! Other items like the green beans or pulled brisket left us wanting more. The green beans did not taste fresh, and the brisket lacked seasoning/flavor. There were also a lot of fried elements like the tater tots, onion rings or even the mozzarella sticks on the three blind mice sandwich, which we feel like were all decent and not too greasy, but also know those are easy things to make regardless of where you're at! The staff was very friendly at the restaurant! They were available if we had questions, and got our food out quickly to us. The ambiance of the restaurant was a little out of date and worn. You could definitely tell this establishment/building has been here for awhile with little to no updates over the years. A few updates to the space I think would really transform it and make it look like it belongs in 2023 not 1993. We do see ourselves coming back in the future, as we saw a few other menu items we are curious about trying!

Honestly, the price is great. But I'd rather have paid double for food that I could enjoy. This stuff was really bad. I'm not convinced that it's actually BBQ. For starters, the sliced meat was almost like leather, and the chicken was tough, too. The meat didn't seem to have any seasoning at all. Certainly, there was no tasty rub like the stuff I had last summer in Amarillo. More importantly, I didn't get much of a smoky flavor and didn't really notice any smoke ring on anything. The turkey was really odd in color and consistency. No smoke ring but somewhat pinkish white all the way through and dry as hell with no seasoning ring on the outside. My guess is that it was lunch meat or some bad product that comes prepackaged. I can't imagine why people go to this restaurant. The BBQ place that closed was so much better.

I was about 25 minutes away, when I took my family here, and they were wondering where we were going, but let me tell you, they were not disappointed by the food, service and the surround area. When we arrived, it seemed like a downtown area that was kind of chill because it was a Tuesday early evening. Barely any traffic around and tons of open parking, especially right in front to the restaurant. From the front I noticed some funny signs, a patio that was wide open for seating, yard games and a nice cozy dive bar vibe. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted at the counter by our server. It was not busy, there was actually only one customer sitting at the bar. The bar has about 6 seats and has TVs to watch and the restaurant if filled with tons of cool Classic Rock pictures, memorabilia and quotes. It was just the vibe we needed to just hang as a family. The server allowed us to pick any table we wanted. We ordered margaritas. They were delicious. We also has the RIBS, okra, mac & cheese, potato salad, some greens, cornbread, brisket, grilled cheese sandwich and fries. EVERYTHING, including the SERVICE was on point; we left well fed, satisfied and happy we found this place to eat tonight. To walk off the food , there is a park right across the street. At the park you will find food trucks for dessert, like ice cream on a hot day. There's also a walking trail and a play ground for the kiddos. There was an area where people were fishing off the doc. I saw an area where people also get married and a facility for our veterans. I included some pictures of what I saw along my way after I left the restaurant for people looking for things to do in the area with a family and/or friends. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you stop by this restaurant for some good eats, drinks and just a place to relax and have a good time. (If this was rated on Christine's service, this would be a five star rating. Alas, there were a few things we noticed that could be improved, and nothing to do with our server.) When we were being seated, one of the staff came and cleaned the floor for us, then another member of staff zipped right in front of us and interrupted her as she was trying to finish. It sounded like she was critiquing her in front of us. We were just happy to have a clean place to sit. I asked Christine about an item on the menu, she asked another lady working there for assistance in answering. This lady unnecessarily chided our server right in front of us! She told her to call someone else for the answer. It was a simple yes or no answer, it took her a minute to find out, but it was too much for her? I didn't catch her name, but she was wearing a red shirt, This restaurant is open concept. Our table was located right next to the open kitchen. The only thing separating us from the very chatty, gossiping, staff, was a short partition with no privacy screen, so we couldn't help but hear about who wasn't showing up to work, and other gossip. Our meals were very good. I enjoyed my Bbq and broccoli slaw, thank you for answering my question Christine, your poise was impressive. The cornbread was tasty. The hot honey and jalapeños gave it a delicious kick. If the restaurant managers could take a moment and use authoritative skills instead of authoritarian, ie don't correct your waitstaff with that uncomfortable tone of voice people use when they want to feel important in front of customers., no less. This would be a five star. That's bad form.

Phyre is located on a quiet street just steps away from St. Cloud City Hall. The décor features black velvet booths, black chairs, and marble tables. It isn't fancy, but it has a cool, modern vibe. They even had a huge Christmas tree still on display, decorated in preparation for the Fourth of July, which definitely caught my attention. Allie was my host and server, and she was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Every restaurant needs a Allie. She was amazing! If Phyre management reads this, she needs a raise. I mean absolutely wonderful service! I started with what they call the "Our Fashion" cocktail and their famous pretzels served with beer cheese . The cocktail was enjoyable, and I can see why the pretzels get so much attention. They were soft, warm, and fresh. I would have preferred a little less salt, but then again, it wouldn't really be a pretzel. The cheese sauce could have been hotter, but it was flavorful and paired well with the pretzels. For my entrée, I ordered the surf and turf featuring filet medallions, three crab-stuffed shrimp, and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which I appreciated. The filet medallions were cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice slight crisp on the outside, although they weren't quite as hot as I would have liked. It was served towith a delicious wine sauce that really elevated the dish. The crab stuffed shrimp were flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were a great complement to the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my Sunday dinner at Phyre. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food delivered a satisfying steakhouse experience. I'd definitely return to try more of the menu.
