It was a traumatizing disappointment to say the least, for both me and my dog Molly. When we arrived for our appointment for a nail trim, Molly was rushed onto a raised platform for the trim. The owners didn't even talk to her or greet her or ask for her name, no treats, nothing to calm her down. When I booked the appointment I didn't realize that they were going to have me be involved, as with past pet grooming places the professionals handle the entire operation and then let you know when it's done. While I was helping to hold her down, she was shrieking in terror as the owner cut her nails. Molly literally screamed out about 3-4 times, it was awful to watch. Past places like PetSmart trimmed and buffed the nails and then gave Molly treats for doing a great job. Shear Elegance only trimmed the nails and sent her on her way, no treat. The plus side was that it only cost $5 but be warned that they only accept cash and don't accept credit cards or any other form of payment. Molly couldn't wait to get out of there... after I paid she was pulling me out the door terrified with her tail between her legs. I really had high expectations based on the reviews and really like to support local businesses, but I think I'll stick to PetSmart where they will clean her ears, trim and buff her nails, and give her treats to calm her down for $20. I'm hoping this experience won't scare her going forward for future nail appointments.

I have been driving out of my way and missing work to bring my pup Gus Gus here for the past…read moreyear(ish). I always tip 20% and try to be as accommodating to their schedule as possible since they aren't open late or on the weekends. This last grooming session, I asked the groomer for an overall trim and to make sure to get his face. I paid $140 including tip. Now that a week has gone by and his hair is laying more flat, it is much more noticeable that they did not take enough off his face or body. When I reached out to see if I could bring him in to have them trim it shorter, they said that they only trimmed his face (which is still too long) and not his body and said I could schedule another cut for an additional $90-$110 because their policy is that they will only do corrections within 48 hours of the appointment. Essentially asking me to pay $250 for their error because their groomer misunderstood/misheard my request. I'm disgusted by the lack of customer service and greed by a local business. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else that cares more about customer satisfaction and the animals than their bottom line. Do better Adore.

He was able to refund the entire vet bill. Sometimes it's about the recovery. Thank you for helping me feel heard and not confused. This location offers supervised puppy day car for 4 hours one day a week. I was feeling ill so I needed a little nap. I called ahead of time asking what age puppies would be there as my puppy was only 3 months old. I was told 3 other puppies ages 4-5 months old. I felt ok with that so bright her in. When I picked her up I asked how she did and the staff worker told me she was being picked on. Knowing i was nervous about I (by calling ahead of time) maybe they should have called me. Anyway fast forward 2 days and we were at the vet getting her wound taken care of. She was hurt while in their care. She was put on 3 different medications and had her fur shaved. I realize it was my choice to bring her but I also expected them to take care of her. They have decided not to refund any of the vet visit. I am not asking for them to cover 100% of it but at least half. There is no way that my puppy did this to herself given the location on her back. We will not be back, to either location.
