At Mavis, I've been strongly recommended to order new tires and add a $90 Engine Oil Flush while brought in for a simple oil change & at Jiffy Lube; a $30 injection cleaning was strongly suggested (which was really just a small bottle of $4 fuel additive). Plus Jiffy Lube wanted to replace my wiper blades on my Brand New Honda Accord with 5000 miles on it! But Never at Caldwell Tire Auto Shop because Honesty is Best and Honestly, you just don't need new tires at every oil change like its NASCAR.

I am older, a grandfather, and in all my years I have never had to deal with a place like this. I…read morewould avoid this place. I brought a car in, they advised it needed a new fuel injector. After installing the fuel injector they advised there was problems with the piston or rings. I trued to talk to them to find out if they installed the fuel injector wrong and caused the damage but they don't take calls. Their voicemail says to text them. So you text, but they either don't respond or just give a limited self serving response. I went there to pick up the car to take it to another mechanic and they refused to advise if the car is safe to operate, refuse to discuss the work they did or their misdiagnosis. They advised they will not release the car without full payment, When I tried to pay them via a check, they advised they do not accept checks but no where do they stare such prior to pick up. They want cash, Zelle or a credit card and if you use a credit card you have to pay a 3 percent fee. Then they require you to sign their self serving summary after payment or they "Will void out the payment" and refuse to give you the keys. I wrote on their document "disputed" and that I reserved the right to sue them. They refused to accept what I wrote - I had to get the local police involved just to get the car back that I fully paid them for. ---// it was such a crazy experience I told them I was going to record it on my phone and they said the they will not talk at all. The check engine light popped up and I went to the local Jiffy lube as I knew they had the code reader to diagnose the issue. It was an oil pressure sensor but they didn't perform that type of service and the technician suggested Meineke down the road. Andy, the owner was super accommodating and took the car in, performed the repair and did a complete check of the rest of the car. He noted a few items that could wait and off I went after a fair priced service. As luck would have it, a few days later I noted steam lightly coming out from under the hood. Back to Andy who moved me up the waiting list and repaired what turned out to be a radiator leak and bad water pump. The price was reasonable and his attitude towards service was outstanding. Finding a good local mechanic is not easy and if you are in need of one, II highly recommended this place

Then I went over to the kia dealership for an oil change & they informed me that my rear break pads were only at 6mm, the fronts at 10mm - definitely did not get new pads for the rear. Very pissed, went back to complain but owner already gone for the day.
