I have a home that my family has owned for 35 years on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic. The winter storms are fierce and the winds high. The roof has leaked every winall 35 years. We just bought a house in Sandwich and were told by the inspector that the roof needed repairs. We had Scott and Max come over for a quote. They got up on the roof, took pictures and then walked the whole property with us explaining everything they found. Good news was, according to them, we didn't need a new roof, just some capping. Bad news was, they found a bunch of wood rot that needed repair. They showed us all the pictures they had taken and explained all of the terminology they were using. We booked them for the needed work and arranged to have it done while we were still living in Chicago. When the work was started, Scott sent multiple emails with pictures every day showing the progress!! He wanted us to feel as if we were there and able to see what was being done as it was happening. When it was all finished (which by the way was faster than he had originally anticipated), he sent us a summary email with more pictures and also called us to discuss. The work looks fantastic from the pictures and Scott is insisting that he meet us at the house after our move and also go over everything in person. Scott and Max are so sincere, hard-working and honest!! They'll tell you what you need or don't need and won't try to hustle you. We had another quote from a roofer (who will remain nameless) who never got up on the roof to evaluate it and just gave us some price quotes because we "wanted a new roof." I just had MV Construction install 44 replacement windows in my Harwichport home. Since this was a very large and expensive project, I did quite a bit of homework before selecting a contractor. I am ecstatic to report that the homework paid off. I'm not sure what impressed me the most- their professionalism, the communication level (critical since I was off Cape), the care to minimize any impact on my home (including covering all hardwood floors with a very heavy duty rolled product), or the end result. In the end I guess it all gets blended together but to say they exceeded my expectations is an understatement. Both Scott and Max worked every possible day to complete the project on schedule despite days of torrential rain. When they discovered some "surprises" under the old windows, they simply fixed the problem and chalked it up to the nature of the business. The completed project came out fantastic. And to top it off, when the installer of the new window blinds couldn't meet my timeline, Scott and Max found the time to fix this problem too. They stepped in and handled the installation of the blinds, despite being completely outside of the original project scope. We recently purchased a home in Harwich and needed some repairs made to deteriorating shingle caps on the ridge of the roof. I contacted a few contractors, MV Construction Services being one of them. I needed to have my house in Dennis resided with white cedar shigles and Azek trim. I asked MV for an estimate after reading their reviews. Last spring rehired max and Scott to replace all our windows with Harvey and replace all cedar shingles .They both came to evaluate in addition recommended new roof 19 yrs old new chimney, new trim, and underground utility lines. We agreed they hired electrician , plumber to rebuild outside shower , custom build , mason for chimney . They worked here for 10 weeks 8-10 hrs days . As we all know hard to get workers like that on cape cod. Your house is like brand new. We had to go to historical society, they came with us. Highly recommended, best contractors on cape cod .
