I spoke with Todd and he told me they were running a $150 brake special. I was told they would call me in 30-40 minutes and let me know what they found. Awesome, I head down the street to have some coffee and breakfast. After hour and half, they call and say I need brakes and one of the front brake lines is leaking and needs replaced, all to the tune of $624. Price sounds high to me but at this point the Jeep is in pieces, I've taken time from work and traveled across town to the shop. Basically, they have to order parts even though I made an appointment to have my brakes replaced. My vehicle is 9 years old, has 90k and has never had brakes. I'm 100% sure it needs brakes! Next time, I think I'll just order my own parts. I've been in around cars my whole life so I know what it needs, not just another pretty face here. Yeah, yeah... I know most people think they know what they need. At this point, it's well past noon and I phone a friend because I knew my vehicle was going to be there all day. All in all, I think the work was solid, although I'll admit I wish they would've replaced the front rotors instead of just turning them because they don't match the rears now. Yeah, it's my thing, but it bugs me every time I look it now. Ok, the good... mechanic work seems solid, lots of places in Old Town to chill out, eat, drink while your vehicle is getting worked on. Light Rail is right there if you want to head downtown. Yeah, it's a garage.. not a place you want to hang out all day.
