I had a terrible experience at Mile High Acura. I brought my car in because it was shaking at high speeds. Before even inspecting the vehicle, the service advisor suggested that if it wasn't a tire balancing issue--which I had already addressed multiple times elsewhere--it was most likely the driveshaft. They said they still had to charge me a $200 diagnostic fee which I confirmed could be applied toward the repair. But when it came time to pay, they refused to apply it and gave vague excuses as to why it suddenly couldn't be credited. The only "diagnostics" they performed were rechecking the tire balance and visually inspecting the driveshaft for rust so they had no reason not to honor the diagnostic fee towards the repair. After replacing the driveshaft, they also claimed I needed new axles to fully eliminate the shaking--a claim that turned out to be completely false after driving the vehicle. Additionally, they managed to tell me I supposedly needed around $10,000 in additional unrelated work. They told me that my rear brakes were at 3mm where I later inspected myself and found at least 5mm. What's even more frustrating is that they managed to damage all four of my aftermarket wheels while checking the tire balance, as they didn't use the proper adapter on their machine. These wheels were in perfect condition with less than 10,000 miles on them. Their attempt to fix the damage was a sloppy touch-up that failed to remove all the scratches and ruined the finish in several areas, leaving shiny, uneven spots. To make matters worse, I tried calling the manager multiple times and left messages, but he never called me back. Between the misleading promises, careless damage, and poor communication, this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. I am in the neighborhood for a new car, I like the Acura line so I thought I would try mile high. I perused their website, made a few inquiries. and immediately was contacted by text letting me know they were there to help. William Blair was my contact, professional, welcoming we chatted as I let him know my intent and limitations, he was going to get with his sales manager to get things rolling for me. after a short while I was contacted unannounced by an unknown man, turned out he was the sales manager at Mile High, Mirza Tvrtkovic is the gentleman's name, he came at me out of nowhere with a hard sell, giving e his sad story of his need to make a sale and this went on for 5-10 minutes was selling me as if I were sitting in front of him at the dealership. I told him due to 2 medical issues I would not be in for 1 1/2 weeks, at this he told me noooo I can bring a car to your home, he went on and on even though my issues were medical I was standing in his way for 1 sale for the day, he was disgusting, his need for a sale Was pathetic, I hung up on him since there seemed no end to his scam. There is nothing redeemable about this dealership- run away, don't walk. Let me start by informing you that if you are thinking about buying an MDX (all the Acura SUVs are probably the same in this regard), the tri-climate system is junk and the servicemen and sales people here truly don't understand how it works. You can't manually adjust the system to decide how much or little air you want coming out and you can't set the back to a different temperature than the front. If it's not set to "auto" you only get extremely hot air coming out of the back so your children will melt, even if the front is being air conditioned. When I complained about this they just kept saying it was "working as designed." The temperature difference was over 10 degrees different in what it blows out, and again, cold air only comes out of the back if it's set to auto. They also kept saying they had looked at a part that was known by Acura to be faulty and it was in perfect condition, but when I took it to another dealership, they said it needed to come out and didn't understand why/how they could have possibly missed it. The dealership who helped me provided a pic and you can see where the foam had melted and was causing some (not all) of the hot air to leak out of the vents. I'm sure they'll say they took my car apart and had looked at everything, but they're either lying or they aren't very good because it's pretty obvious damage. In the pic you can see what it's supposed to look like, versus what mine actually looks like. More recently though, I learned that they either lied to us about our car having previous damage (we bought a used MDX that had been leased from their dealership prior) or their multi-point inspection is horse poop. We had to bring in our car for a repair, after a minor accident recently, and you can see where the fender had been previously glued together to fix a crack. In summary, go to another dealership who actually backs their cars and will do the right thing. They don't back their cars, know enough about them or care about their customers. read more

Just an overall terrible experience. I purchased a 2003 Toyota Highlander from them on 03/01/2019. I told them that I just got a new job with a salary 4x my current position. I was approved for financing and drove away with the vehicle. a week or two later I received a call from them saying they could no longer finance the purchase because I got a new job and they could no longer underwrite the loan (even though everyone was aware of this the day of the purchase). I ended up having to pay cash or return the vehicle. I paid cash and never received the title. Car buying experience nightmare. I've been in the business of buying and selling cars for some time now. I've worked with countless dealers, sales reps, F&I, managers etc. On this particular experience, I felt like I was being more scammed out of my money by an untruthful staff than any other dealer experience, ever. The trade vehicle I brought in was offered by 9 other dealers (yes, 9 other dealers from Denver to Fort Collins at. 42,000). I was offered 38,000 and told it was the absolute most they could give me after they "called every dealer from here to Las Vegas". This was all after an hour of negotiation. Next was the dealership was attempting to close a deal on me at 5.9% apr when I am approved from outside lenders at 1.5% apr. I was also told I was not allowed to take the invoice they gave me home because it was "illegal" and had MY personal information on it. More like they didn't want people to see the terrible rates they were offering. I wish I could go more into detail on this but please don't be fooled by smiles and a bottle of water. This dealer does not have flexibility and will try to profit off of a monthly payment WITHOUT showing you the apr. Illegal and unacceptable. ALSO. They tried to claim that if I didn't trade my car in and I wouldn't get my tax break. Claiming that if I buy the car in CO I HAVE to register it in CO despite my residency being Wisconsin. I've been going to the dealership for my oil changes since I got my Acura in 2010. Went to get my oil change at this location where they proceed to tell me I need a new oil pan because the screw was stripped. I immediately took my car to Sheridan Auto Tech where they proceeded to tell me I was lied to and they were trying to get a new oil pan out of me. Got my oil change and went on my way. Went to drop the car off and they tried to upsell me a hydraulic tensioner for "a couple hundred bucks" which is already included in the kit (just search "Honda OEM timing belt" and you'll see everything that's included). I asked for a quote with everything and they wouldn't even give me a firm dollar figure. I think the other review here about them double-dipping is right... I stopped taking the car here for oil changes when they tried to charge me $90 in labor on a cabin air filter replacement, after they had already taken the filter out and would have had to put it back for free if I told them I didn't want to replace it. They originally had told me $40, so after arguing with them about that being just for the part I ended up paying $40 (which was also about $15 too much - easy to replace yourself). Do your research and take your car elsewhere. Dealers are not known for being cheap, but I've dealt with honest dealers in the past... the guys at Mile High Acura are shifty. read more

We purchased 2 brand new RDXs here last year. While the sales was meh, (we paid sticker price, no deals here) it was okay and the salesman was very nice and worked hard. We thought the dealership would be a great place to return to for warranty work or repairs. The service department is sub par to say the least and they make mistakes. My mother had her RDX in for an oil change and my mother is almost 80. They sold her a bunch of other stuff that did not need to be completed..this was a brand new car for first oil change. Cost her over $400. I was furious but didn't know until it was over. She came home and the car smelled like gas/oil for 2 weeks from the inside and outside. We took it back and they had not put the cap on tightly and it sprayed all over the 2 weeks. Really?? You had one job? Such an easy thing too. I called 2 months ago and spoke to the assistant who answered the phone in service because I received a recall on the fuel pump in my RDX. No return call. I called again and she said as soon as the part came in - I would be called. That was a month ago. I'm done with Mile High - I guess I will try the one in Centennial. On a side note, the RDX my mother purchased from here had hail damage that was CORRECTED before the car was sold to us. Mile High insists that they keep full records of this and it could not have happened at the dealership but either way - this is just a word of warning to make sure you look your NEW car over very carefully in daylight - don't assume it's perfect because it is new. The General manager blew me off when I asked. Here he sold 2 brand new cars, and something that could have taken him a few minutes to look at, he just emailed and said nope we didn't do it but like to earn your business for a PDR job! I won't come back here. Sad that for a few hundred bucks to correct what they sold us - he could have had future business. read more

Do not take your Acura to this dealership to be serviced. My car needed rear brake work, and the diagnostic test showed that I needed new pads and rotors. I received the report of recommendations, along with pricing for each, and chose this rear brake work to be completed. I agreed electronically and over the phone what services would be completed. The following day, a service representative, Todd, called me and said, "We cannot remove your wheels without causing potential damage, so in order to complete the rear brake work it would cost $320 additional, and I need your verbal consent." We talked for about 10 minutes. I told him I would call him back. I spoke with a personal contact who works on cars about what Todd had said about not being able to remove the wheels. My initial service representative was out of office that day. I called back and spoke with Todd, and asked "So you are saying you cannot complete the work that was agreed upon for the price it was agreed upon without me paying another $320?" He said "Yes, correct." I got transferred to the service manager, Chris, and asked him the same question. He said, "Yes, correct." Then I said, "Okay, I'll come get my car." 60 seconds later I got a call back from Chris. He said, "All of the service that was agreed upon has been completed." I was confused, asked him again "but you and Todd just said it couldn't be completed unless I paid another $320." "Ignore that," he said. That is a clear display of trying to take advantage of someone. They lied to me on the phone for 10 minutes, threatened that the work won't be done unless I agree to paying more money, and said the work was not done when it was in fact already completed. I do not recommend bringing your Acura here. Todd and Chris engaged in behavior that I would call fraud. read more

Found out after arriving that the appointment time was only for checking in the car and not for an actual technician to look at it. Finally 5 hours later, they diagnose the small parking sensor issue but had no part onsite to fix. But I am soooo glad that my BF suggested and we did since it introduced us to this place. Our service advisor Chad was relatively new there but was one of the most efficient and knowledgeable ones I have worked with ever. After 10+ years of going to the place where we bought the vehicle new, I have never gotten such a comprehensive report on suggested items that may need to be looked at. The experience was excellent with a decent sized waiting area with a fancy coffee machine and snacks there while you wait. When we decided to get two services done and the wait became longer, he was able to offer us a loner car since it was over lunch time. Bought my 2016 MDX here, but go to Courtesy Acura for service always. Why? Note that the car is still under warranty. 1. Everytime there's something wrong with the car, they always try to charge the fee to look at it. Ex. Last time I asked them to look into replacing the battery underwarranty, while going in for an oil change. They said it would cost me $80 for them to check the battery. Are they double dipping? I will probably report this to BBB and Acura Corporate when I've time. 2. For 2 times I came in for oil change, they didn't wash the car. 3. When I got their email for $11K off 2020 MDX. I came to trade in my 2016. They initially said $11k off any MDX, I came home to sleep on the deal for a night, the next day they said it's only for the Advance model. I drove to Courtesy Acura and they offered $12.5k off on the Base model, gave me $500 more for my trade in, and 3 yrs of free oil change. I want to buy a running board because they're the closest to my home, but not sure if I want to go there now. Bad experience like this really hurts the brand. read more

On a whim I decided to stop at Acura to use their Accelerated Service Department, since I was already out and about with my 3-month old baby after a work lunch. Frank Splitt and Loretta the cashier got me in and out in under an hour with a car wash to boot. Frank even carried my baby in the car seat to and from the car to give me a break, after taking care of spit up that hit the floor too. I've bought several Acuras from Mile High Acura and have been regularly getting my cars serviced here. I could always go to a local mechanic but having a certified Acura technician working on your vehicle feels better. They don't try to up sell you on things that you don't need and don't use any "scare" tactics to get you to buy services from them. The service personnel are understanding and will assist you in any way they can to make sure your experience there is top notch. The car buying process was easy for my family. We walked in knowing what vehicles we wanted and what packages we wanted, and they did not try to sell us a car that we didn't want. It was nice walking into a dealership and having them show us cars that we wanted instead of vehicles that were in different trim levels that either had more than what we needed or didn't have. If you're looking to purchase any Acura this is the place I would suggest. Just remember that this is a dealership and if you make the buying process hard then it's going to be a long day but if you have an idea of what you want and an understanding that the car buying process takes some time, then your experience here will be as good as mine. The Service Department at Mile High Acura is also top notch. I wasn't aware of any recalls on my vehicle and I hadn't heard of any new recalls in the mail. The Service Department personally contacted me and told me there was a new recall on the vehicle and helped schedule an appointment to bring it in to get serviced. I've owned cars from other brands and from other dealers, but this was the first time that I actually had a representative from Acura reach out to me to get my vehicle fixed as soon as possible. This was review was almost a one star but Mile High Acura did the right thing to salvage a bad situation and in turn made me a happy, loyal customer. Due to a miscommunication in scheduling followed by a lack of communication between the mechanic and the customer service rep, I was lead to believe my car wouldn't be serviced for several hours after the original appointment (which was confirmed multiple times). I was pretty irate but they soon worked to resolve the issue in a timely manner. At pickup and not at my request, my $240 bill was soon turned into a $0.00 bill along with an apology. THIS is how a vendor should handle a negative situation - it wasn't much money but the principal speaks volume. I'll be sure to return in the future. read more

Be aware will work on vehicle and not tighten up all bolts will be leaking slowly for a matter of months until you notice.. You take it back in they of course review work and tighten whatever was missing but will try to bill you again for the work that was already paid for last time. Also, another matter recalled items they will deny /refuse to accept . They make an excuse on vin # doesn't match etc.. But any and all recalled items need to be address properly and according.. Which 1 my vehicles were but my second wasn't. They neglected to reset the airbag code on the cluster and also caused my passenger seatbelt buckle to not work. read more

I made an appointment online for a simple oil change. I drove an hour round trip and arrived on time to be told the oil change would take between an hour and a half and two hours. This obviously completely defeats the purpose of making an appointment in advance to fit into my schedule. The older gentleman in front of me was told the same thing.
