Chef's Salad that's bigger than Barry Bonds' head!

I'm a big fan of MVP! They have by far the absolute best salads in the area. They're massive, reasonably priced, and come with a BIG cup of dressing! Nothing annoys me more than places that give a big salad with a tiny pouch of dressing (except maybe when the sound is delayed on a TV show so the mouths don't match the words - I hate that). I've also had a few pizzas from here and they were awesome. I wish they came in more than one size, but that's not enough to knock off a star. The appetizers I've had have been great too. I also love that you can order online, since me on the phone is more awkward than the Pope at a Slayer concert. Great food and great service. These guys are my MVP? Wow that's corny. Bye.

Always perfect. On time delivery. The food is top quality and very rarely is there any issues. The stromboli is out of this world, and you can't go wrong with a hamburger in any form here. The hotdogs are amazing as well.

Love this place!!! My husband and I order from there pretty often, and it's honestly my favorite steak tip salad!! I have no idea what the steak is marinated in, but it's delicious and so tender. The portions are HUGE! And the pita they give is super fresh; not stale and hard like some places we've tried. Their potato skins are great too. We've also tried several of their pizzas (sorry, I didn't take a picture to share!) and they're sooo good. Plain cheese and Hawaiian are our faves. The crust is on the thinner side which is a major plus. Gets crispy but still easy to eat. Another bonus... online ordering! And the people working are SO NICE when we go in to pick up. Will definitely continue to order from here!

Steak n cheese... overcooked , where is the cheese?!?

The vibe is cozy and welcoming, but there's always something going on, live music, karaoke nights, and even fundraisers that really bring the community together. The food absolutely delivers. The pizza is on point (perfect crust, great flavor), and the smashburgers are next-level. Juicy, crispy edges, everything you want in a burger. It's the kind of place where you can grab a casual dinner, hang out with friends, and end up staying way longer than you planned because the atmosphere is just that good. If you're looking for great food and a spot that actually feels like part of the community, LJ's is definitely worth checking out.

When you walk up to the door, the place seems small. Like a hole in the wall. Inside is anything but. Colorful murals, custom skateboard decks and modern art adorn the walls. Bright pops of color in between the TVs playing a variety of news and sports at the bar My friend and I were there for one thing: the 10" pub style pizza. I wasn't sure what style of pub/bar/tavern pie it would be but I was eager to find out. Our bartender was super friendly and quickly put in our order. We got two pizzas. One standard pepperoni and the other Chicken + Pickle. The pizzas came out ripping hot and smelling heavenly. The crust of these pies is more akin to a pan style pizza than what I would think of as a bar or tavern pie. It had that buttery crisp that reminds me of old school Pizza Hut (and I mean that complementary!). The sauce was a solid supporting character, the real star are the cheese and toppings here. It tastes and stretches like they use a blend of cheddar and mozzarella. The pepperoni was cooked to perfection. The cups pooling with oil and so crunchy. The chicken was quite tender and most on the other pizza, and the dill pickle taste was in full force, exactly as I was hoping! While I was hoping to find something like South Shore Bar Pie, what I did find was an awesome pub pan pizza in a spot that I've passed 100s of times. I'm glad I stopped in and I'll definitely be back. That pepperoni could not have been cooked any better

The Gobbler sandwich was yummy with delicious turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The steak and cheese sub with perfectly seasoned and yummy. The service was friendly and quick. The skipper is fried cod with extra melt sharp American cheese, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. This was absolutely horrendous. It was beyond obvious that the cod was pre made, battered and frozen like the kind you can buy at a grocery store but worse. Gortons brand even blows this one out of the water. This sandwich had way too much cheese and tartar sauce which leads me to the worse part of the sandwich, the tartar sauce. It was disgustingly sweet like it had been made with sweetened condensed milk. J's should never attempt a fish sandwich again, you can get much better at a fast food restaurant for half of the price. The skipper is most certainly a skipper in my book. I also had one steak and cheese eggroll at a whopping $3.49. It was actually in a spring roll wrapper so I'm not sure why they're trying to pass it off as an eggroll. It was way below average, small and mostly cheese with barely any steak. An easy waste of money. They have a big menu online but only about 1/4 of the menu is displayed at this location. They also have the world's smallest selection of Pepsi products. A good amount of Coke products though. My last visit was beyond disappointing and a big shocker coming from J's. I think I'll stay away from this place for awhile.

Finally I had my excuse to make the trip north to Woonsocket. I'm so glad I did. This place packs in so much stuff! A full grocery, plus deli counter and you can order a hot lunch. There's a cozy seating area with Polish clothing, books and art around to give it life. I walked around ten store for a bit, overwhelmed by all the delights on the shelves. I picked up a few items and went to the register. There, I also picked up my scoop. They serve homemade gelato and sorbet here, and I chose the amarena gelato (cherry). She served it up, added a cute little cookie and then I went outside to sit and eat. The texture of this wasn't quite gelato. But it wasn't quite sorbet, either. It was almost like a sherbert. It was smooth, fruity and a little creamy. The marinated cherry flavor really came through. If I could compare it to something family, it was like a grown up version of the old Flintstone Cherry sherbet Push-Up popsicle. I loved it. And I will get it again next time I come in. Krakow is such a special place, their Polish selection is awesome. It made me want to buy a Polish cookbook to learn how to use all the ingredients I saw! If you've ever had a pierogi, that's enough reason to stop in. Just make sure you get some gelato, too!

I love the decor, deli, and the bar. It's a nice addition but I feel as though it does make the restaurant a little cramped. I stopped in last night with my partner and my dad. We had Ryan for a waiter and I think he was spread a little too thin as I had seen him behind the bar the whole night. He was by no means rude and clearly busy but it definitely seemed as though he didn't check in as much as he could have. As for the food itself it's always been nice. Not stellar and by far not my favorite Italian places but serviceable. The prices are borderline reasonable to pricey, with my meal being $25. I would say $25 is a little steep for two pieces of chicken. However, the portions are gracious enough to leave you full but not bursting and the food always does taste fresh. My Chicken Sorrentino was good but I didn't get a lot of prosciutto which was disappointing. I'll keep coming here because it's close but if you want amazing Italian food try Federal Hill in Providence.

The salad was really good and came with a surprising amount of grilled shrimp (17). The beer battered onion rings were really yummy and freshly fried. Not soggy. The mango habanero chicken tenders had good flavor but there was so much sauce that they were not crispy. I was hoping this would be all I wanted regarding pizza but it wasn't. I wanted a fresh tomato sauce that was tasteful and delicious. This almost seemed like sauce you'd put on top of a chicken parm or something and it was WAY too salty. Bleck. I just had 1 slice and that was enough. The bbq chicken pizza was just ok but kind of lacking flavor and it should come with onion but not worth $2.25 or $2.50 just to add onion as a topping. It's pricey here and honestly I tried this place once and that's enough. Hope they are able to improve a bit and make it work at this location. I wanna like this place, but there was just too much "this would be great BUT..."…read more When I went into the store there was a woman getting something from the deli (pasta salad or something). When she was done I went and asked if they make sandwiches to order. The guy working said "no, we make all of our sandwiches fresh each morning and they're in the case by the door." He wasn't rude, but it seemed odd that they wouldn't sell me a custom sandwich. Here's my first complaint: all the sandwiches were on little foam trays and covered in plastic (like a piece of steak would come on at a grocery store), I don't know if this is how they always do it, but it's a bad idea: all of the sandwiches were squished flat because of how tight the plastic was (and also probably because they stack them up). I'm no elitist, I'm not a fancy guy, but presentation is half the battle and these sandwiches were not appetizing. What's wrong with just rolling your subs in deli paper? I swallowed my pride and grabbed the least flattened turkey sub, along with a bag of chips and a drink. The cashier girl was polite and asked me if I wanted any condiments for the sub, which I did. When I got home and began eating my sub I discovered it already had mayonnaise on it, which I don't like. And it wasn't listed on the label with the ingredients. Which is exactly why I would've ordered a sandwich from the deli, not because I think the ones in the case aren't fresh, but because they looked awful, and now to me it tasted awful. The turkey too was really crumbly... it didn't look like a turkey sub, it looked like a tuna sub. I'm giving 3 stars because the cashier was friendly and the subs ARE cheap, it was less than $4 for a 6" sub. But you know what? Charge me $5 or $6 and make it look (and taste) worth eating. This is one of those places where some things are ridiculously cheap (like the subs) and other items are more than they would be at Cumberland Farms or 7-11.
