gyro platter with fries and salad
    Maryssa M.

Does Santoro's get enough credit? First place I ate at after moving back to Rhode Island...always solid, always delicious! love the gyro platter with fries and a salad... pizza is good and it is convenient! I always get extra tzatziki on the side for my fries, it is so good! The salad dressing is delicious and the wieners are a decent add on as well if you need a little something extra! *they deliver too and sometimes have coupons that come in the mail!

Exceeded my expectations. First time getting food here. We got a large cheese, pepperoni and olive pizza delivered. The pizza was a decent size, lots of fresh ingredients, plentiful amount of toppings. The crust was baked just right and was crispy and delicious. It was delivered in much less time than expected and very reasonable in price compared to other area pizza places. We'll be back!

I wouldn't give this to my dog let alone my son. We order here at least once a week and today the spinach pie came burnt to a crisp. We are so disappointed. You can see in the photos how there was next to nothing worth of spinach in the middle.

    Double wieners all the way

Certainly worthy wieners. Bright red color. Nice snap of the skin. All the way includes ground beef, sprinkle of seasoning, healthy swipe of mustArd and fine chopped onions in a steamed roll. As good as they get. The wiener plate ($7.20) comes with a salad and choice of fries or a soda. Thick cut fried hard French fries are crunchy and hot. The salad is a simple mix of peppers, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and vinaigrette. Friendly service, eat in take out. Burgers look interesting.

Yum yum sm xtra cheese pepers n onions tastes even better than it. Looks

The grilled chicken salad is really good. Especially with a side of pocket bread. Perfect summer meal.

Does anyone know why they are closed?

I was thinking the same thing...all I could find was "WE WILL BE CLOSED JULY 12TH - AUGUST 23RD" but I can't verify that this is a current statement.

Being in a pizza community group means I'm always craving pizza…read more Living on the north end of Providence, I have my fair share of choices. But there was one spot nearby I hadn't been to since November and it was high time I went back. That place is Zesty bites. They're located on that last stretch of Smith St before you cross over in North Providence. I always manage to find street parking in the front but there's more around the corner as well. Imad was in there cranking out a HUGE catering order! There were covered pans everywhere, ready and waiting for the client to come and pick up. But that didn't stop Imad from taking a moment to shake my hand and ask how I was doing lately. I didn't want to take up much of his time as his Friday night was just kicking off but he is genuinely a warm and friendly person, you can't help but smile when he smiles. I took home a Pesty Chicken, house pesto with turkey bacon, onions and chicken, plus a hefty slice of his gorgeous baklava. After my 5 minute drive home I got to it immediately. The pesto is herbaceous, salty from the Parmesan. The turkey bacon is not what you find Butterball making but rather, this was of a much higher quality and was an actual piece of sliced meat instead of a formed amalgamation of ground turkey. All of those ingredients sang while being supported by the incredible crust. I don't quite know how to describe it. It's light, fluffy, but crispy. Crunching into the crust scratched a part of my brain I didn't know needed it until I bit into this little slice of heaven! The baklava looked as good as it tasted. Sweet, spiced, and it had this deep flavor I can't quite put my finger on but it's probably top 3 best I've ever had. If you haven't visited Imad and his shop up over on Smith Hill, then you are missing out on a unique and delicious experience. 10/10, great pizza. Great food all around, no matter what you get you'll love it!

Imad runs this small spot in Providence where incredible Lebanese food and pizza coexist. His pizza has that perfect char on the crust, brilliantly simple sauce, and genuine hospitality that feels completely natural, not performed. So when this year's competition rolled around, I came back. Twenty-four places into this month's pizza marathon, we needed to know if Zesty Bites was a one-time thing or if Imad's really doing what I thought he was doing. Turns out, he is. Of course he is. The crust still delivers. Crunchy exterior, chewy interior. Imad's dough artistry hasn't changed. His sauce is fresh and flavorful, built from simple, super fresh ingredients that deliver big taste. No tricks. High quality cheese and pepperoni blend together for a pie that just delivers a little bit of magic to your mouth. Same five tables. Same warm welcome. Imad's still treating customers like they are family who just walked in, not like he's checking boxes. After twenty-four stops this month, you start noticing which places coast and which ones stay consistent. Zesty Bites is consistent. No drop-off. No shortcuts. Just the same great pizza Imad was making a year ago. That's a lot harder than it sounds.

Unfortunately, I was very dissapointed in the large Margherita pie I ordered this time around. The dough was brittle, the cheese didn't taste all that fresh and the rest of the ingredients (sauce and spices) were just OK. It's always dissapointing when a restaurant lacks consistency and leaves you wondering what happened? Is it the cook at certain shifts, carelessness, different quality products? I don't know, but this place may be worth a try if they could output the product I had during my first visit. The pizza was dissapointing, but the wings were good. It tasted fresh, very crispy and hit the spot. The wings definitely saved the overall meal which is why I gave them a 3 overall, but the pizza was like a 2. The other stuff - I called in and was put on a long hold. The employee I spoke to was a apologetic about the wait and was overall pleasant. I've been inside this restaurant and it's quite small, so taking out may be a better option. -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

The bartender barely made eye contact, and when I ordered a spicy tequila soda, I was served with Tajín sprinkled on top--not exactly what I'd expect for a spicy drink. The food was equally underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza came out with the pepperoni completely burnt. When we mentioned it, we were told that's simply how they prepare it, so keep that in mind if you order pizza here. The wings were decent and had a good amount of meat on them, but that was about the only highlight. The nachos arrived swimming in grease, making them difficult to enjoy, and the toppings were just average. The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. The ambiance was fine, but overall the food and service left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

When placing my order, the young man working the counter had a hard time ringing up my order. It took the owner as long to figure out how to run my credit card as it did to make my food. I think there was something wrong with their system, but they didn't actually tell me what was happening, they only apologized for the wait. They prepared my food and packed it to go. Since it was the end of the night, they gave me the slices they had on the counter as a bonus, which was really nice. Their tenders are more like chicken cutlets and they were very saucy (which is my preference) I couldn't decided between blue cheese and ranch, so I paid extra so I could get one of each. The pizza was thick and sort of greasy but it tasted good. The cheese blend is different that other pizza places and the sauce has a real tomato-y bite. While it's not making my top 5 list anytime soon, I wasn't mad at any part of the food. The building is an odd shape because it sits on the corner of a triangular shaped block.
