Activities include arts and crafts, dancing, fitness programs such as yoga, aerobics, strength training, card games such as Bridge and Texas Hold'em, and other special events. Marks Street Senior Recreation Complex has several class rooms available. A computer lab, a weight room and cardio equipment room for exercise, a ballroom, library, and a billiards/game room are available as well. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Sunday hours are from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Billiards and Fitness Rooms are always open during operating hours.

They also have a tech tutor class and every second Friday of the month the local Florida SHINE program manager provides health insurance counseling. While this is a yoga class for seniors, this ain't your grandma's yoga!…read more John leads a terrific yoga workout 9-10:40am on Mon/Wed/Thur/Fri for $2/class for folks 50+yo. Many poses and twists are covered depending on the day: warriors, cow/cat, boat, chair, boat, locust, plank, supported shoulder stand, downward dog, forward bends, reclining bound angle, female budda, corbra, sphinx, sun salutation, moon salutation, child/baby and many more. He focuses on breathing and focus throughout each move. He encourages all to join in and move to your own stretch/movement ability...but not to pain! Bring your own mat and wear comfortable clothing. If you come on Mon or Fri, bring some weights (optional) John's class gets up and down from the floor several times during the class; if this is difficult for you, try the chair yoga on Thursdays at 11am.

The rehab staff was so busy, it was a comfort to have these wonderful caregivers there when she needed them. This was an unexpected situation. With a quick phone call to the owner Christine Yancey on a weekend day, we had assistance immediately. It was such a relief to have these caring and compassionate people there with my mother when she needed some extra care. We were there a lot, but with the help of this great company, my mother was able to rest and know that she was being watched over. Professional and concerned. These caregivers were always concerned and communicated well with the family during the time we had hired them. Again I would highly recommend First Coast Senior Care for non-medical assistance for Senior Care.

They go above and beyond expectations to make sure we are safe & comfortable. We use our car as it is easier for us and our rollators or wheelchair. Christine, the owner impressed us when our driver forgot to clock in when she arrived at our house. Chris called us to make sure the driver had arrived, and we were not stranded at home. We knew then that First Coast R & R is the right company for us.

They say that is a red flag if places are not allowing visitors. The director, Carolina Garcia has lied to me on at least two different occasions. She blames everything on "All Seniors" or Department of Children and Family. I checked with them and they have no such policy and have not set any policy. Run away as fast as you can!
