This is by far the best cheesecake I ever had. I have traveled the world and tried cheesecake from…read moreso many cultures and businesses but I always find myself saying that Cascon is still better. I may seem biased because I grew up here and Cascon is the only cheesecake we only purchase. i rarely visited the store because my father is usually the one who picks up goodies from here. Since I moved to FL, I try to enjoy Cascon any time I come back home. We never used to get the pastries but since our favorite pastry place closed years ago, we have been enjoying pastries from Cascon. I was skeptical but they are legit! Napoleans, Eclairs, and rainbow cookies are my favorites, which they usually have in stock here. They are mini sized, which are perfect for my type 1 diabetes! My two favorite cheesecakes here are the plain and Amaretto. My dad and I are the only ones who like the Amaretto so we do not get that one often, unless I'm back at home for a while. I actually have a plain cheesecake in my freezer in FL lol. They do not have a website and the last time I checked, they do not ship. I would probably pay to ship some goods down to FL since I do not get to visit often. The staff is helpful and friendly. Parking can sometimes be minimal, especially around the holidays. They also are not open for extended hours so check prior to visiting if you do not live in the area.

The rainbow cookies were out of this world - especially the traditional which I could eat hundreds of any day of the week...it's exactly what you would want from a rainbow cookie! The oreo cheesecake wasn't exactly as creamy as I like my cheesecake but that's a personal preference thing - everyone else found it amazing! Can't beat these prices either!

Growing up in Northeast Queens, bakeries were everywhere. You could walk into almost any…read moreneighborhood and have your pick of incredible baked goods, often from family-run shops specializing in different ethnic traditions. Over the years, as many of those bakers retired, the number of quality bakeries slowly dwindled. One by one, many of the old favorites disappeared. So when Aphrodite's opened, I was eager--and a bit skeptical--to see if it would be worth the trip. Then I tried their mini cheese empanadas, and that settled it. These little sweet treats are unbelievably addictive. I've brought them to gatherings and shared them with friends and family, and without fail they disappear almost instantly. I honestly can't think of another baked item I've purchased that has been so universally loved. Since then, I've started exploring more of their pastries and baked goods, and each visit has been a pleasant surprise. One item seems better than the next. No, the prices are not cheap--but the quality absolutely justifies it. In this case, you really do get what you pay for. If you stop in, do yourself a favor and try the mini cheese empanadas--you'll understand why they've become my go-to order.

It took us a while to decide on what to buy partly because we were buying also for our friends. Naturally, we were asked relatedly by at least the different staff if we needed help or if we were ready to order. Each time, they seemed genuinely want to help, and made us feel welcome with their smiles and gentle demeanor. For myself, the pistachio muffin was totally satisfying and I confirm they did not slump on the nuts. The crunchy eclair was a BIG hit with our friends, and the rest is kind of a blur but I know we enjoyed everything we tried. We'd go back without hesitation. I hope they keep up the great work.

Definitely one of the best French Bakery in Queens area or even in NYC!! Everything was good!…read more Location: It is located around the corner of 39th avenue and bell boulevard. The restaurant/bakery is big with lot of seating. Great display of cakes, pastries and breads. Street parking is available. Service: the nicest people. Food: all of their cakes, pastries and breads aew amazing. But two of my favorites are: DUKE: definitely a must! Its chocolate cake with I believe a cookie crust inside. It comes in cubes so definitely easier to share. CRUNCHY: this is the very must!! It's chocolate mouse inside with layers of other chocolates. Plus with nuts on it. It's like a ferrero but bigger! Price rating: 7/10. It was not expensive a good cake. I always buy cake here for special occasions or even if I am craving cakes. Visit this, its worth it!
