Dr Rooney and staff are very accomadating. I have a special needs child and from day one he was…read morevery accommodating. I didnt know that the prior dentist had left. This was my second appointment. As a matter of fact he even took xrays on my son with my assistance after the prior dentist told me he couldnt take the xrays. Thank you all for your patience with my son.

This building must be cursed or something. Previous dentist in this office was bad enough but the…read morenew dentist here is even worse! I do not have any idea why Dr Brian Rooney is a pediatric dentist because he is absolutely HORRIBLE with children. He was inflexible, inpatient and straight up offensive to my child, ripping a squishy toy they literally had in the office for the kids, away from him and saying he wouldn't want him to "drool on it"! He was not even able to do his job and told me to take my child to the hospital! If you like the kind of dentist who will straight up lie to your kid and tell them it won't hurt when it hurts a lot, go ahead and see Dr Rooney. When he did the numbing medication he was so clumsy my kid was bleeding everywhere, and he blamed my kid for moving. I'm sorry but you're supposed to know how to work with children. Again, if you want someone to basically terrify your child into not moving an inch, go see Dr Rooney, but if you want your child to not be terrified of the dentist then please do not ever let them come here, they will be scared for life. I was bought to tears over the dreadful treatment of my child by this man - I really have never come across anything like it in my life. When he asked for feedback, I started to give it to him and he argued with me and told me that my feedback was not valid - so at that point he was obnoxiously rude not only to my child but to me as well. I'm still in shock over how we were treated. If your child has any kind of special needs - run a mile from this monster. He has literally no rapport with kids at all - he seems to hate them unless they sit perfectly still and say nothing. He's also too rough and DOES hurt - and then will say your kid is lying and that they are not hurt at all. Absolutely disgusting. He should not be allowed near any child.

I was honestly very surprised by the reviews on here about this practice. I took my daughters here…read more(2 and 3) for cleanings and the experience was totally great. They each had their own hygienist and sat in chairs next to each other. My 3 year old was okay doing it by herself, but I helped hold my 2 year old. There were no xrays/no separation as described in other reviews. My daughters' teeth looked great and I wasn't sold any unnecessary procedures. I think the experience may vary based on dental hygiene practiced at home. I limit sugar, my kids rarely have juice, and We brush at least 2x a day, floss, since they were less than a year old. That's not to say they also didn't get their dad's good teeth genetics because mine are awful. I guess the takeaway is, if you have specific concerns, you should address they before the visit. Overall, I was very pleased.

My son was 3. Dr McQuire commented how good he was for the cleaning…read more Then they took the xrays. They said we had to wait outside. He was crying and screaming for us. My son is still dealing with their method of separating us from him for the X Rays. He was crying and scared and we will always regret not pulling him out of that situation. The impact of that short bad experience is still lasting. He was so good with dentists until that moment. We've had to make trust building appointments with our new dentist since then. Imagine if you are a little child surrounded by strangers who are holding you down and jamming that damn x ray piece in your mouth. I bet he was wondering why we left him there. If you choose to go here don't make our mistake.
