My old computer stopped cold right in a middle of an involved work project I was doing at home. It was a Sunday on a holiday weekend. Big back up had been done a while ago. Angst. And I'm here to say yes, they're right, their service is awesome. It was extraordinary each step of the way. I phoned on a Sunday. Tech answered (!) Score one. I described the problem and he said it sounded like a power supply failure. Forgot to mention fan had been making whoosh whoosh noises lately. Within 45 minutes we had driven to his place (works out of house), phoned we were parked outside, he came out, we handed over the tower. Spoke with Rob, a really nice guy, who described what he'd be looking for, and listening to him you know you're speaking with someone who has some serious expertise. Within 3 hours message on his site described his completed work, new power supply, new fan and cost. He then phoned back saying it was ready for pick up. Score two, this work was done promptly (and pleasantly) Drove back and picked up tower and paid. Score three, the price was very reasonable. You just don't get service like this with others (and I have been through the big box store helpers route, the on line help, so I know.) It was very clear this company cares about the customer and does great work. Computer was back up and running within just hours of the shut down and I was back at my work. That's awesome. I've never had a problem with my MacBook. So when it stopped working it came without any warning. My MacBook is my livelihood at the moment, since as a nursing student I'm taking some online courses. I was about to take an exam, and it wouldn't turn on! I freaked out and immediately started searching for places to fix it. I called Rob, described the problem and he immediately told me the problem. He told me it was harddrive failure, right then I though R.I.P. Mac I cannot afford to fix it . Rob quoted me $175 and said he could have it back a running in 1 day. When I got my computer back, it was like a brand new MacBook. I felt as if I just came home with a new laptop from the Apple Store, since it was running the latest software. Bram is awesome! I took my msi laptop to him with multiple problems like constantly freezing, drivers missing, viruses, slow startup and run, and other issues. It was ready the next day. The price was very affordable. I can imagine how much it would have cost me if I would have taken it to Best Buy or similar companies. Plus I would wait a week or so to get my laptop back. My husband actually has his sony vaio under warranty and we have alredy taken it to Microcenter be fixed three times. His laptop never ran better (but once even worse, as they reboot the system without downloading any drivers). Tom just left and I am near tears with happiness to have my home office working again. I can print! Web pages can load! Er---I guess this means I now have to catch up on all my work. I think my computer skills peaked in the mid 90's, when I worked as a computer literacy teacher at a lab that used Windows 95 and Word Perfect. I was on top of my game then, but with each new generation of computers, I seem to fall farther and farther behind with my ability to do basic troubleshooting. When it came time to set up a new desktop to replace my gasping tower from the early aughts, I called in an expert. . . but alas, not these experts. Long story short--after the first attempt to set up my new computer, nothing was working well. Many of the probs seemed to stem from internet issues. ATT swore up and down that our DSL signal was strong. My old Dell laptop had slowed to a crawl after a drop. I suspected that it was a fan so I took it to Bram after discovered MyCrazyMachine on Yelp. He opened it up and found out that the fan was stuffed with dust the size of a small hairball (he even sent me a picture) preventing the fan from working. He cleaned it all up and re-greased the CPU and GPU. He also provided options for me to upgrade the laptop by either upgrading the OS or RAM. I decided to go with both and he gave me a discount! When the laptop was ready I asked if he could deliver since I was at home with my toddler and he dropped off the laptop with no questions asked. The system is now running like a new machine, which it is kind of but about less than half the price. I was very impressed by how professional and responsive Bram was. My Acer AspireOne netbook had suffered a cracked LCD screen. Although, I had a little time left on my original factory warranty, wasting my precious time sending it to them, and waiting several weeks was too much. I contacted MCM (which is located super close to where I live), spoke to Bram about my problem. He picked up my netbook, fixed it in a short amount of time, gave me a laptop to use (I'm a community organizer, so reconnecting with people and sending work out is a must!), while he fixed my netbook, and returned it to me. My computer wouldn't turn on anymore. On top of being a girl and not being able to explain my problem in "computer language" the laptop is a German one with a cheap windows that couldn't be switched to English. After a friend tried to reinstall windows for over I week I lost my patience and googled online for a repair shop. I found mycrazymachine.com on yelp and called them right away. On a Sunday evening. my laptop had a serious virus that required a brain and heart transplant. I was a bit tramatized but on the phone Rob was reassuring. I took it to drop off and found myself in front of a modest yellow framehouse. Suddenly I'm less reassured as he hadn't mentioned its a home-based business. Rob came out, we chatted timing (24 hour turn around) and price (reasonable), so ok and I drove away, honestly a bit nervously. 24 hours later my computer had been wiped clean and everything reinstalled. A few hours later a software glitch appear in ITunes and Rob and I discussed on the phone. He was able to control my compter remotely, figure out the problem and fix it. All is well. So I'm very pleased. I almost gave them four stars just because when I find something on Yelp with all five stars I'm abit suspicious but when the do it right, they should get the stars. read more

I've never written one of these but just had to share how pleased I was with MyCrazyMachine. I have a MAC that is about 5 years old and my screen suddenly went completely black. These guys are great! They happened to be the first computer repair I found when I googled my zip code. I sure got lucky! He waited after closing for me to bring my crazy machine to him, riddled with hardware and software issues, and a really nasty trojan vundo virus I couldn't get rid of. They performed a complete wipe/reinstall of windows with data recovery, and fixed some physical hardware issues I was having. He had it all up and running by the time I got off work the next day. Even upgraded (doubled) my RAM for much less than the prices I found online. I am extremely please with his work! This computer feels like a whole new machine now. Not only did they answer the phone right away (on a Saturday night), they took the time to trouble shoot over the phone and saved me the time and money I would have paid someone else just to analyze the problem. I bought a rather expensive PC off of ebay and I had a number of problems with it and It powered on but not much else. Also I couldnt figure out how to put in the side panels since they had come off during shipping, and the power supply was missing screws so it wasn't secured to the tower. Like other reviews say, Rob's literally the goat, I came here confidently because I read his service was good and I wasn't disappointed. My problem was a little while ago, my pc stopped turning on after suffering from a power surge, luckily though rob was able to replace it all the while also discovering I had a blown capacitor on my motherboard which he fixed as well.
