Computer: 2008 Dell Desktop Called MCM Tuesday afternoon, after a brief chat about my problem (booting) I was told to drop off the tower (diagnostics test is free). Tower delivered to MCM at 5:00pm.....stopped at grocery store...parking my car at home 6:30p,...I get a call from MCM. "Problem was an easy fix, video card replacement, told me the cost, asked me if I wanted to proceed, and if so, did I want to come back and pick it up TONIGHT?" I would have had to fight rush hour traffic, so I declined. Wednesday 5:00pm, stop by MCM to pick up the tower. He handed me my 'old' part and the box from the new part. He explained what probably created the problem...there was about 5 years of dust inside that probably contributed to the break down. Cost: I didn't get estimates for the cost to replace a video card from anyone else...but as far as I'm concerned, the cost was more than reasonable for 24 hour turnaround. read more

Incredible. My hard drive stopped working on my iMac, so I naturally went to the Apple store where one of the "genius"es told me it had to get a new hard drive (up to $225) and referred me to a data recovery shop (who quoted the data recovery up to $1,100). For that price, I might as well have gotten a new computer, so I found this place on Yelp. I'll admit, I tempered my enthusiasm when I found myself standing in the snow, trying to figure out whether to knock on the downstairs or upstairs door (hint: upstairs) in a quiet neighborhood. But then I met the man in charge, and he got the data recovered, replaced the hard drive, and even cleaned the keyboard and inside of the laptop for a total of $325. The website initially sold me on MCM's services: very easily navigable and customizable to individual computer problems. When I walked in, the clean, well-lit, well-ventilated office was a welcome contrast to local competitors operating out of poorly lit holes in the wall with cluttered equipment everywhere. Ample space between the pay/discussion desk in front and work area in the back illustrated that MCM takes seriously the security of its customers' belongings. He fixed a damaged laptop charge port for me within the day, and without prompting, he demonstrated that it was fixed before I paid. read more

I saw the great reviews for My Crazy Machine and so even though it was way out of the way for me something told me to give MCM a try It was a good decision, I was very satisfied with his work on my Dell Laptop , it needed a new hard drive and I told him I wanted the best rated HDD he installed it and he took his time explaining what he did and how I should be using my computer and without asking for it,he gave me my old hard drive back in a box so i know he honest he sure knows what he is doing and quite reasonable as well , I will be going to Roumi from now on if i ever need work done on my computer . read more

Simple... you can spend thousands at Best Buy or apple and wait three weeks for them to return your machine or you can let Bram fix it for less than half market price. He's knowledgeable, fair and takes the time to explain the issues. My computer is now 11/12 years old and every time I need a tweak or a tune-up Bram fixes it. Within hours or max a day or two. Rob is the best for any kind of computer repair. He has fixed my PC multiple times. He is very knowledge and is a much better resource than the any of the big box stores such as Best Buy. My Windows computer auto-updated, corrupted the install, and wound not boot. He restored it back. Another time, the computer fan stopped working and he repaired it. I had a separate problem with a USB cord within a few days of a repair and he fixed it for free. He works quickly and has reasonable prices. I have an HP desktop that I ALMOST took to Best Buy...it had a couple problems (bad video card combined with a couple viruses). I'm not completely computer stupid (I replaced my own power supply) and wasn't totally sold on the competence of the Best Buy employees. Wow! I am so happy to have stumbled upon Rob at MyCrazyMachine.com. Rob completely overhauled my non-functioning five year old laptop, and now it is running like a new machine. He replaced the DC jack, cleaned the motherboard, cleaned the fan (which had stopped working due to being clogged. ick.), re-installed all of the software, and even threw in a new power cord for free. The power with my computer had been malfunctioning for months, either not staying on unless it was plugged in or not holding a charge whatsoever until it completely died. The first time I dropped off my MacBook, Rob returned it to me the next day with power restored and everything seemed to be working as normal. A few days later, it was back to its old self and not staying powered on unless the charger was plugged in. Rob willingly said he would look at it again and figure out what was really going on. I am very skeptical about computer repair stores because just like I am of car repair shops. You can put that worry aside when dealing with Rob. He is very helpful and will only charge you if you agree on the price and he found a problem and is able to fix it. Very upfront and extremely helpful.
