I brought my 98 Jeep tj sport in to see if they can figure out what was wrong with my front end turned out. It was locked into four-wheel-drive. If I could do a negative 100 I would.... this place is absolutely the place you think of that will do shoddy work and not own up to the mistakes they made. I took my Volvo in here for a horrible sulfur smell. They said "oh its a rat in your vents" so they must of messed around there. And found its the auxiliary battery. Replaced that and it was almost 600 dollars. After that my key fobs would not lock my car and some of my lights would not work. They said they had a key guy and that turned out to be a joke. They had no idea what the deal was or why it wouldn't lock. This went on for months and they said they would help with the repair bills that were adding up as I tried to find the problem that was not there before they did my battery as well as my cabin airfilter. The owner said he never went in my car but to start it! Ummm you were in my glove box!!!! And when i called and asked for tony who i was speaking to about helping me find the issue he said "hes not here" the owner is literally Anthony!!! So who are you?!!!! I "WAS a long time customer of My Dads Auto. NOT ANYMORE!! Three years ago a new engine was installed in my truck by My Dads. From day one I had nothing but problems with it breaking down constantly! My truck was in their shop over and over for 2 1/2 years. I think I was patient. They simply did not have the ability to fix the problems. As time went on their customer relations faded to unpleasant and their true colors showed. I was ignored, my calls were not returned and I was given the run around. Finally I was told there was nothing more they could that they were DONE! So here I was with a failed engine installation job that I PAID for! So after a uncomfortable conversation with MY Dads another Auto shop was found and I took my truck to them. When the new shop went through the engine they found so many things done wrong and several that were extremely dangerous. I had been driving a very dangerous vehicle! There was GAS leaking in the engine!! OMG! So the moral of my story is STAY AWAY from My Dads Auto! This is probably one of the most dishonest repair shop ever. I live in Arizona and I had my daughter who is a collage student has a coolant leak in here truck. So I had the truck towed here and asked them to replace a water pump that was under warranty by auto zone which was great. I talk to a lady name Tiffany and told her that the radiator may have a leak and to give me a estimate on the repair. Well a couple days goes by and the shop calls to tell me the truck is done and ready for pick up and the cost is $1086.00 Well I was shocked because they went ahead and replaced not only the water pump but the radiator ,belts ,belt tensioner ,pulley ,also my a/c belt and tensioner for a/c. First of all they didn't know but I'm a master technician and owner of a shop in Phoenix AZ. And I no you are not supposed to do any type of repair with out any type of authorization which I gave them none ,verbal or a signature . Then they tell me the a/c belt had to come off the car to do the job. I told them you don't even take that off to do a water pump. They said oh that's our mistake it will be 986.50. The price changes as soon as I told them they were wrong. when I talk to the owner he tells me if I don't pay today he would put a Lien on my daughters truck and he would sell it. And insist on cash only. I feel he took advantage of a collage student and a father who lives out state. I would never recommend this place. read more

I have brought vehicles to My Dad's automotive a couple times. Usually the work is well done, and the price is just under dealer prices in my opinion. They are usually straight with me, however something was off this last time. I brought my vehicle in on a Wednesday because it was leaking fluid. I thought it was my front differential based on the location of the leak. They quickly diagnosed that the leak was higher in my power steering pump. They quoted me a price for replacing the pump, two hoses and the seal in the differential. About $800. I asked them if they could check the pump first, then the hoses if needed, and then see if seal on the differential needed to be replaced. They said they would and if all I needed was the pump and hoses it should only be about $600, and possibly lower because of the layered labor costs. They stated they couldn't get the parts until Friday (Really? A power steering pump and hoses for Chevy 350? Ok.) I made an appt for Friday and dropped it off. I received a call about 2 hours later saying that the pump on the vehicle was out of date and I needed a new redesigned one that would run about $60 more, and also I should get a new belt, and a couple a new pulleys. I knew that some of the pulleys were having issues, and that the belt would need to be replaced sooner or later, so I authorize work, which he said would run about another $100. I still expected him to layer the labor (I shouldn't be charged an hour to replace one hose, and then another hour to replace the next hose. It should be one hour for both.) I also asked when he expected the work to be complete and he said the part would arrive around 11:30, then he would close for lunch, so it should be done by 2:30pm ( I figured on about 2 hours of work, and at most another hour for the diagnoses). When I called to confirm it was done at 2:30, I was told it was and the total came out to exactly $700! (and twenty cents. Really?!) As I headed to pick up the vehicle I was already feeling taken, but then it got worse. After I picked it up, I found that the light switch inside the vehicle had been snapped clean off. It was laying in the door pocket. No one had said anything. I brought it back in and the owner start questioning me, saying he didn't know anything about it. The owner's wife took the switch and stepped outside to look at what happened. The owner started asking the mechanic who worked on it what happened, and of course he didn't know anything. It just magically snapped off and landed inside my door panel... They took care of it after about 20 minutes. They were not happy about it but they really couldn't argue with a snapped off light switch. As I drove home I also noticed that the my trip odometer had been reset (wonder how far their "test drive" was). We use the trip odometer on a daily basis for fuel checks. Then we discovered both seat warmers had been left on high. Why both? Two employees must have gone on a "test drive". They couldn't have known this but our vehicle has a short that drains the battery anytime the seat warmers are left on. The steering pump is inside the engine bay...why mess with anything inside the vehicle? We were very dissatisfied with how we were treated this time. I felt they over charged, were not transparent, and took liberties with our vehicle. We are not going back. read more

This company seemed to find a "new" problem every time I have taken my vehicle to them. A project that was supposed to cost about $250 is now running close to $1,000 because of this companies poor work and lack of attention to detail. The first time I came to them I had them do an install that was not an easy because there were some complications from prior work/damage on the car. They did this in less time than they had estimated so I was ultimately please. This is why I gave them 5 chances. This last experience was the worst. I wanted something fixed because I was told by a separate professional electrician that they installed the wiring incorrectly. When I approached the company to re-wire their work, I quote Jeff (owner of the company) as saying "they don't know sh*t about what they are talking about." This was in the lobby of their shop with other customers present. He is one of the most unprofessional business owner I have ever come across. You have a lot of options when getting your car fixed. I strongly suggest using a competitor. I am not sure the degree of intention on their part, but it seem to get worse the more I put my trust in their reports of what was wrong with my vehicle. However, the worst part of it all was simply the way I was treated. I wasn't looking for a lot and the owner was quick to get nasty with me when I was unpleased with their work. They may know how to do good work, but it does not seem like a priority. I don't give high ratings easily, so a 3/5 or "A-OK" is accurate for My Daddy's. My husband and I started going there for oil changes because they had a great coupon promotion for free oil changes. Now we have taken our car there for a brakes/alignment estimate (we ended up doing the brakes ourselves) and tomorrow we're going in for a fuel filter/diagnostic situation. They can't do everything in house, but their service is great and the prices have so far been good. Will update if need be after our next appointment. read more

My experience with Daddys Auto and Muffler was and still is beyond a 5 star rating. They are honest, compassionate and give you their honest opinion on what need to be done. To this day I have never had a problem with them and they back up their work 110%. Unlike another muffler shop who still to this day has never given me a receipt for the work they did cuz they said if we are going to match Daddys Auto & Muffler after they did the work said they can't give me a receipt cuz they were going to match it by not charging me sales tax. With that being said I have requested a receipt and still have not received one. I had to go to Daddys Auto & Muffler cuz the other place who installed supposively a new catalytic converter, exhaust system and new chrome pipe. It lasted maybe a year and I asked them how do I prove you guys did the work and they said quote we know our parts/work. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend them to everybody! read more
