Unfortunately I would not take my dogs here anymore. The price is expensive which I understand but they don't understand the assignment here. I've taken my little dogs here and ask for the hair to be cut from my yorkies eyes and showed which hair kept sticking him in the eye. Now again I asked for just that piece of it to be trimmed down and for them to trim his hair so it's not so long but also do not want it super short where he would look like a short haired rat. They ended up shaving his whole eyebrows and barely cut his hair. On top of that my dogs were so scared when I got them back. One of my girl dogs would not let me touch her back foot which I usually do because I clean their feet off for the day when they are ready for bed. For the price I paid this was not worth it. I'm still looking for the perfect spot. So if anyone knows of any in the area...hit me up. Currently I take them to petsmart for a little trim and nail trimmings and will bathe them myself if they don't need their nails trimmed. read more

Decided to try out a new groomers and this place did a great job! I showed a photo of how I wanted him cut and they did just that! It didn't take long for them to wash and cut him, I picked him up fairly quick. He smelled great, and all his stubborn mats were gone! They also asked if I wanted him with a handkerchief or tie, and I opted for a tie on him. It was so cute! read more

I recently brought my 2 corgis here to get groomed. I noticed a very young puppy in the lobby, but didn't think anything of it at the time. A few hours after getting groomed we noticed that both of our dogs were experiencing loose stool. I called My Dogs Spa, just to ask about the puppy that was groomed here and to put my mind at ease that it was not sick, and that it was fully vaccinated. The groomer told be that the dog was only 12 weeks old which made me uneasy because a puppy is not considered fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. After taking a poop sample to the vet, they found pieces of a rubber toy in the stool sample. So we realized that is what explained the sudden loose stool. plus our vet said that they wouldn't have been showing any real signs until the next day if they were exposed to parvovirus. The dogs were fine until the next day. They then started experiencing a whole different set of symptoms. The diarrhea started again but was different than the day before. It was very gelatinous, and almost clear. The following 2 days symptoms got worse. They started vomiting and experiencing blood in their stool as well. I took them to the vet where they both tested positive for parvovirus. I called the groomers back to make them aware of the situation. This is the only place that my dogs have been other than home, so the vet is VERY confidant that this is where they contracted the virus. There could have been any number of unvaccinated dogs being groomed at this facility within the past week. This establishment clearly has been accepting new clients without checking for fully up to date vaccines. I would also like to point out that they did not ask for vaccine records from either of my dogs before they accepted them as clients. (Yes they are both up to date and have received ALL required vaccines and boosters) but the groomers had no way of knowing that because they never asked. This is a very irresponsible business practice for a facility that has multiple dogs on site at any given time. I am not looking for a refund, I would just like to see some accountability from this business, and an apology for not following best health practices. Parvovirus is a very serious thing, and now the lives of my dogs are at risk. I would recommend taking your dogs to a different facility that is more strict on health standards for your animals. read more

First time here... wanted to give it a try... we brought our teen pup Mogwai in here and he came out a completely different dog! They had to cut him short bc he was too matted it's been months since he was groomed. They treated him well and he smelled good and had a cute little valentines handkerchief around his neck! *****UPDATE: After the owner's reply claimed there was "no record" of a Husky being groomed here, I called the salon. The staff member who answered checked their system and confirmed that two huskies were groomed that day, including mine. So there is a record of my dog's appointment. I'm sharing this to clarify the facts for other customers.**** They shaved two huge sections of my husky's undercoat!. You don't shave a husky's undercoat, that's the only grooming rule you need to know. It can't be easier to remember. He has such beautiful fur, we always get compliments on how beautiful he is. But they sent him back with two uneven, flat areas where I'm realizing his fur was most dense and therefore hardest to clean I guess. So instead of bathing him in the hard to scrub areas, they just hacked into his fur to make it easier for themselves. Why is this important? There's a chance that he's going to go through alopecia/hair cycle stress after the shaving of his undercoat given he's a northern breed, which means his hair won't grow back or it'll "never feel quite the same." PERMANENT DAMAGE. I'm heartbroken, I feel sick. These people hurt him possibly permanently. How could anyone like this be allowed to handle pets? He's been groomed easily and successfully his whole life at different places. The first time this place bathed him, there was a film on his coat and his face smelled like vomit from when he was first taken in. He came back smelling like vomit with some perfume sprayed on him to mask it. My hands would smell sour after petting him and greasy from whatever was on his overcoat. I politely called about it and she offered to bathe him again. I didn't even ask which I thought was kind. I brought his own shampoo to make sure he would be cleaned thoroughly and without irritation. When I arrived she said she would bathe him but that she'd like me to take what I thought was an internal review down because it "affected her business"....thats how reviews work. I don't even see it ever having been posted so she may be removing negative posts. When my dog came home the second time, he was itchy and it was a couple days later when I noticed the scabbing from what can only be clipper burn. My dog is my ESA. I love him and as any pet owner/parent knows, there's a certain gut wrenching feeling when someone hurts your pet. Because they're more than pets. PLEASE, PLEASE don't take your dog here. I wish I had listened to the other reviews. The owner quotes lower prices and then raises them when you get there. It's not worth it, I promise. I'D DO ANYTHING to go back and choose any other groomer. It's going to be 12 months before I see if there's permanent damage and every time I look at him my heart breaks for how beautiful he's always been and his poor scabbing skin that's bothering him now. His skin is also at risk of the sun given the absence of undercoat. If you know how to report a business that works with animals and you've been affected too, do it. They simply *want* to be groomers but haven't taken the time to learn how to be. Or it could just be negligence which I think is worse. They're just doing whatever makes things easier on them and whatever gets them the payment. I have a medium sized dog and they made me pay the higher weight price. I paid over $100 for a bath only and all I got was a dog that smelled like vomit, came home injured, and possible permanent damage to a husky's most beautiful, protective barrier (their fur is their survival mechanism for goodness sake). TL;DR They shaved the undercoat of my husky that causes 12 months of healing and/or permanent damage. His skin is scabbing and sensitive, endangering him to the sun. DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PET. I wish more than anything I could go back. You'll be tricked into higher prices. Read the reviews: they cause harm to pets. PLEASE SAVE YOUR PET. There's so many better groomers around that compete easily. I assume they're going to respond. What I'm telling you is the truth. Why would I make any of this up? I have nothing to gain. Protect your pet. Ignore their accusations and fake statements. You know what's best for your pet, go with your gut of what's safe for them. read more

I had an appointment for my dog scheduled at 10:00 a.m., and I was told the grooming would take about three hours, with pickup around 1:00 p.m. I waited until 2:00 p.m. before coming to the shop, but at that point I had not received any update or communication. When I arrived, I was informed that my dog was being described as aggressive, that the wash took longer than expected, and that she had bitten an employee when being checked on in the kennel. This was the first time I was made aware of any issues. I had to come inside to ask for an update rather than being contacted by staff. Given the delay and lack of communication, I decided to pay for the services already rendered and not wait any longer for the haircut portion. When my dog was brought out, she was calm and friendly with the front desk employee, which left me confused about the situation and the characterization of her behavior. I understand that grooming can be unpredictable and that safety is important, but clearer and more timely communication would have made a big difference in this experience. Being informed earlier would have helped set expectations and allowed me to make decisions sooner. read more

This groomers should stop taking appointments and double booking when clearly they don't have the workers to groom. This is the third time I booked the first early 8 am appointment and my dog doesn't get done til 2pm. That's 6 hours just sitting in the crate waiting for a groom? How does that make sense. I even called to check why it's taking so long at 1pm and they told me they didn't even start his cut yet and will probably be over an hour until they get to my dog. Even the previous appointment, I had an appointment at 10 and they didn't finish til 5. I had to cancel my plans because of them. On top of that, I paid for nail trimming and they didn't even attempt to trim the nails. I didn't notice until I got home and had to drive all the way back 30 minutes to get the nails trimmed again. Regrettably, we must conclude our business relationship with this establishment. On July 29th, we brought our two dogs to the groomers.  One of our dogs is now suffering from an infection likely caused by improper handling of the anal gland during grooming. Unfortunately, this results in an unexpected vet bill. We have encountered a similar issue with our other dog at a different grooming business prior to using their services, which is why we are aware of the potential complications, as our vet has highlighted their expertise in such matters. We have brought it up to their attention to make them aware and maybe work something out, but given the responses to our complaint, it feels like there's a lack of empathy and accountability regarding the care of our dogs We really hope this is considered so they can take the initiative for future pets. read more

I am so beyond excited to have found My Dogs Spa- and so happy to be writing this review. I have an English Cream Golden who generally does not like going to the groomers (he obliges but it's usually reluctantly). I reached out to a few groomers in the area because our previous one moved, and Sorayda got back to me right away, answered all of my questions and was able to accommodate my needs. Upon drop off, she went over her packages and even recommended less to me than I had originally asked for (she could have easily upsold but she was so honest, transparent and truly cared about what she was offering). My dog felt so at ease with her and for the first time ever in his entire life, walked right back with her and she said he was a good boy the whole time, and didn't have any issues. The pricing is so fair, and honestly Soraydas kindness, experience and dedication, as well as her love for animals was evident from the moment you meet her. I took my Golden Retriever here for the first time. They were only one of the few that had an opening before Thanksgiving. They did not disappoint. The ladies working there are very kind. My dog was shedding his undercoat and they took their time and brushed it all out. Great Wash and Trim.
