So you may ask yourself, "Why give a little muffin and bagel shop 5 stars, Lacey?" Well, I'll tell you why: I had the best bagel and best muffin here that I have EVER had. So in comparison to all other similar cafes, this one deserves 5 stars. I stopped in for some breakfast to go, on my way to work this morning. I was craving a bagel with cream cheese, but wanted to try something new, and not a chain restaurant. I browsed my bookmarked places from my iphone, and found this place. Once inside, I thought it necessary to order one of each: a Jalapeno and Pepper Jack cheese Bagel, and a Boston Cream Pie Muffin. Wow....amazing. The bagel was HUGE and so yummy. I had it toasted with plain cream cheese...costing only $2.39. Completely worth it because of its size...I saved half to eat for lunch! About a million times better then those *other* chain bagel places...you know what I'm talking about. The muffin was so good too...drizzled with chocolate and filled with custard. It really was like dessert, but not has heavy as an actual piece of pie. The huge muffin was only $1.99...and again, saved half for lunch. I definitely will be back to try other yummy items on their menu, like bagel breakfast sandwiches and bagel pizzas. I vow to never go to another bagel place again when I'm wanting to grab breakfast before work. It's only My Favorite from now on! read more

3 stars is rather ordinary. Yet that's what I felt after coming out of this place. I had high hopes for My Favorite Muffin, but after sampling the menu I wasn't too thrilled. It was acceptable...but not delicious. Consider that I've had daydreams about hanging out with Otis Spunkmeyer and eating banana nut muffins, and you might understand my mild disappointment. Frankly, I find their muffins aren't that much more tasty than, say, the 4 packs you can find at the King Soopers or Safeway bakery. Okay, so they added a big glob of cream on top. They're good muffins, but after visiting a place that's dedicated to MUFFINS, I should walk out saying: "Damn! Now that was a good **$%^!@ muffin". But I walked out saying: "eh..it was allright". Their breakfast sandwiches were incredibly ordinary. I had something with cheese and a slice of ham. No real exotic flavor..it tasted like I had pulled the same ingredients out of my fridge and whipped it up. At times, I tasted too much bagel and not enough ham or cheese. I also tried their BLT breakfast sandwich. THAT was tasty, but I'm a big bacon fan. "Bacon is goooood. Sausage is gooood". The sandwiches reminded me of a downtown bakery/lunch joint I hit in Boston, once. Serviceable and they'll fill you up...but nothing truly "delicious". Places like that are all over Eastern cities, but the Denver suburbs don't have many. I'd also like to see this place stay open past 3pm. They have deli sandwiches that I've been aching to try. I'll drive by in the evening hours and think: "hey! Why not stop in and pick something up for lunch, tomorrow?!" But I'll pull into the lot and find them CLOSED. Then it's off to the nearby Tokyo Joe's or (ugh) Qdoba. So while I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, I wouldn't mind stopping in if I was passing by in the morning or looking for something beyond the typical "cop breakfast" (coffee/bagel/donut). read more

This place is really really bad. Went for bagels and coffee and it was all flavor,was and just garbage. The service was confused and lackluster but the real garbage was the quality of bagel and the coffee tasted like hot dirty mop water (don't ask how I know). This location is very near my office so I've wound up coming here on occasion with co-workers or to grab a quick bite for late breakfast. The muffins are, as the previous poster said, like cake. YUM!! They have so many interesting options to choose from. My personal favorite muffin is the Cinnamon Crumb Cake. It has a touch of icing on the top just to make it extra sweet. I've tried the chocolate cheesecake muffin too. For some reason it's sweetness makes me want it for dessert and not breakfast. Today my co-worker had the breakfast BLT bagel. YUM!! It had normal BLT fixings but they added their cheddar cream cheese to it. The bagel was soft enough to bite through as a sandwich--a key for me with bagel sandwiches. It was sinful. OH. EM. GEE. My company recently moved office buildings and we are now pretty close to My Favorite Muffin, so I decided to check it out this morning as I didn't have time to make breakfast and coffee today. I was hopeful that they would be fast since I was running late, and (maybe?!) hopefully have good coffee too...? I pulled into the lot, parked right in front and... SUCCESS! Not only is My Favorite Muffin extremely fast in their service (I was in and out in about 6 minutes and I had 3 people ahead of me in line) but they have delicious bagels, and muffins, and a HUGE variety of flavors and offerings! The atmosphere is very clean, and warm, the staff is friendly and efficient. I also ordered a large plain Latte' - Oh my, Whole Milk or Skim?!? YES! I would LOVE whole milk thanks for asking! And Oh, I notice you are using Farm Crest Milk??! Even better!!! I love it when not only does a specialty bakery have an espresso machine for latte's, but they even ask and give you a choice of milk, AND are using a local company for their milk supply! Plus they have two access points and are easy to get in and out of. My Favorite Muffin, you are doing it right. SO right. My favorite is French toast bagel with honey cinnamon cream cheese, OMG out if this world, I'm eating it right now. The staff here are friendly. Speak up and repeat your order. The muffins are plentiful and diverse. Only come here if you want a huge, fresh, muffin. If you are the office morning angel or just a generous person, bring a box of mini muffins to work. My morning favorite is a spinach and Swiss cheese bagel with a deli ham and Swiss sandwich with lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo. Never had the coffee, but it always smells good in there. As to the other reviews about disrespectful conversation I have never heard any such nonsense while I have been there. Nor have I ever had a dry muffin or a lackluster bagel. The deli stuff is always fresh and the place is always spotless. If you find another muffin shop that is open at 6 in the morning AND makes killer bagel deli sandwiches, let me know. I recently started a job in the area and while I was out at Qdoba for lunch earlier this week, I noticed this place. This morning I was really craving a bagel breakfast sandwich, so I drove on over. I got there early around 7:30, and there was already 5-7 people ahead of me. But that did not stop me from waiting. And waiting. And waiting....all in all, I was in line for 20 minutes! That is a crazy amount of time to spend waiting - my suggestion is to hire more morning crew staff to help out during the rush. I ordered the morning classic - which is egg and cheddar cheese on your choice of bagel (in my case, cinnamon raisin). It was okay. There was nothing special about it. I wish my bagel had been toasted first because it just tasted really soft which is good if you are eating it alone but with a sandwich there has to be some texture. I also happened to check in on the Foursquare app and since it was my first visit, I got three free mini muffins. I tried apple pie, and cinnamon crumb. They were pretty good. I did like that the cashier used my first name when I checked out - that was a nice personal touch. Overall, I probably will come back someday but it's not my first choice. read more

Where to begin... This was probably the worst Uber eats ordered food I have ever had. My omlette sandwich was missing its eggs. I know they have incredible muffins, but this visit I decided I really wanted a breakfast sandwich so went with egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It was ok. The bagel was pretty chewy and the egg lacked flavor. The muffins are definitely the way to go here, but it's a major calorie commitment so I usually won't allow myself to indulge. Excellent overall breakfast place. The variety of bagel breakfast and lunch sandwiches is excellent and the coffee easily rivals much fancier cafés. They have a variety of bagel flavors that are great. They are on the doughier side even when toasted which could be a pro or con depending on your preference. Service was friendly, not always the fastest but they clearly put some care into the preparation. THE MUFFINS... Are amazing. If you can call them muffins.. They're really much closer to cupcakes.. All extremely sweet and a cake-ier consistency than a normal muffin. There are miniature varieties if you don't feel like blowing your diet completely for the day.. I have a feeling that this is definitely more of a breakfast/muffin joint but so far I've only tried their sandwiches. Nothing to write home about. They are okay. I got an Italian sandwich on wheat bread (you can get them on a bagel of any kind) and it was good/okay. I love that they have the Boulder Canyon chips!! They also sell bagel chips made fresh which are pretty cool. You can pick up an entire bag full (which I did) to bring home and snack on at any time. I may have gotten into a "habit" of stopping here for breakfast these days, which consists of a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The bagels here are really good. The breakfast sandwhiches are made from well, eggs that can be nuked. They're OK. I've never had the muffins, so I can't really say if it was my favorite muffin or not. My bad. This is a small, dual-family-owned joint with only five or six tables. I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating in, especially if you go on a busy day. (Fridays?) There have also been multiple times when the coffee thermos has been next to empty, prompting me to have to make suicide coffee. I'm no coffee snob, but this isn't exactly my idea of what I want my day to start out with. Give them a try though. The bagels are delicious and they have a boatload of flavors available. read more

I happened by My Favorite Muffin running errands, and I really needed (okay, wanted) some breakfast. Despite the name, they serve more than muffins! They serve delicious muffins, yes, but also bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and coffee drinks. When I walked in, someone immediately greeted me. He explained their specials today (tax day) and made me feel welcome. The service is awesome! I had an everything bagel with sausage, and then got 4 mini-muffins (15 cents each for tax day!), as well as an iced mocha. The bagels are super fresh and delicious. The muffins are flavorful, as well. I could see the kind bakers in the back taking them out of the oven and adorning them. The coffee was good enough (I'm not a coffee connoisseur, I drink it only occasionally, but I know if you are serious about your coffee, you may not be as satisfied). When I get to the cash register they tell me that I can't use it as its for a different location and they don't accept other stores coupons. Not the great place it used to be. I used to come here frequently when I worked in the area. Breakfast and lunch were always good. Stopped by for lunch today. The clerk wasn't very friendly and wasn't attentive to detail. I ordered a turkey club, no cheese, no mayo, with yellow mustard, on a plain bagel. First she grabbed a Parmesan bagel. After correcting that, she made my sandwich. I sit down to eat and find mayo on it. I approached the counter and tell her I asked for no mayo. She tells me twice that she didn't put mayo on it. I open the sandwich to show her it clearly had mayo on it. She apologized and remade my sandwich. I sit down to eat again to find it's a Parmesan bagel after all. I give up. So the products are great. I love the muffins, bagels and sandwiches. What sucks is the service. I've come a few times for lunch and they have a daily lunch special what runs $5 and change for a sandwich, chips and a drink. The usual lady I encounter is a middle aged Hispanic woman that seems like she's always annoyed that you're disrupting her day, never asks if there's anything different we'd like on the sandwich, if we'd like anything else and always forgets what comes with the special in which a light reminder gives a "if you'd like" interjection as if you're asking for a freebie.
